My Thoughts:

My Cat is Blue is a very touching storybook of a child seeing and grieving with her pet cat at the loss of their pet dog. We lost our almost 10 year old German Shepherd this year and the suddenness of the loss and the heartbreak we felt as humans was keenly felt. However, we have a little teddy bear puppy who never experienced what suddenly she was experiencing. The loss of her best friend. And yes, she was blue and changed.

So we did what this book suggested (before I got this book) and brought her home another companion. Is everything better? No, there have certainly been some hiccups but I am hoping we are on our way. All of my kids read this book, even my adult children and yes it brought tears to all our eyes.

If you or your  family have recently lost a pet, this is an excellent story to help understand what a child and even a pet may be going through with some helpful suggestions.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
