This week at Scrap and Stamp there is a new sketch challenge to try out. Take a look and give it a try, you have two weeks to complete it. Our sponsor this week is Torta Gialla Designs, and they are giving away a $10 gift certificate prize!
Here is the sketch:
This is my interpretation of the sketch, I did an altered shadowbox frame that is also a wedding gift for this weekend!

As You Wish

So this has been a crazy busy week, house cleaning for a showing Sunday and then both kids have been sick. One with an unidentified ailment and the baby with Strep Throat. Yuck, hate seeing either of them hurting so I am a bit worn out and sleep deprived. But I did manage to complete my sketch challenge for the design team at Scrap & Stamp. Here is this weeks sketch:

So below is my take on this sketch, it is a bit different for me almost has a gothic look and feel. Not sure where that came from but it is always fun to experiment with different styles. The Princess Bride is one of my all time favorite movies and that is where the title came from. My favorite features are the flowers stamped in white ink on black polka dot paper and the double ric-rac trim with one row popped up.

Well gotta run, have a great weekend!

Love & Marriage

So yesterday I was thinking of my parents celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversary on March 23rd and how amazing that is. I think that these days marriage is not what it should be to a lot of people and I am very happy to have been blessed with parents that love each other the way God intended, unconditionally. Of course they are very lucky to have each other, because as many of us know- one spouse can be fully committed while the other one is just not. Regardless, if anything should be celebrated its a happy marriage, so of course I had to make them a special card. I used green cardstock and Jillibean Soup patterned papers. It is displayed above.  I also have to say how grateful I am for my husband Scott and his commitment to me. We have only been married for two and a half years, but he would tell you that he's been committed to me for at least 20 years. But that's a whole other story..... Anyhow I had to share one of our wedding layouts as well, this is my current favorite titled Forever & Ever.

So that is all I had to share today, tune in tomorrow for some great photos of Mr. Gabriel and his first venture with cookies and milk, sissy taught him how. These kids are just too cute.
