Santa's Helper

Hello everyone,
Spring has arrived but Old Man Winter will not give up..brrr!  It's a bright sunny day as I schedule this post but man does the lake look wild with strong icy winds causing white caps.
I can hear the waves crashing ashore...makes me want to stay indoors today.

This cold snap is making me think of Christmas and that's just what the theme this week is at

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #386

where our lovely Helen is hosting.

I've coloured with Copics a new (for me) image from Mo's Digital Pencil called "Santa's Helper"

This little guy was so much fun to colour..just look at that little face...so darn cute.
I die cute MB Merry Christmas die in black,  glued it to green paper and
fussy cut around it for background, then made a green silk bow.
Brought out my sewing machine to sew the outside frame.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Paper Piecing at Fab'n'Funky

Hi everyone,
Hope it's been a good week for you so far.

Weather has been great here.  The birds are singing and we even see signs of spring in the garden.
The snow is melting away quickly...yeah!  I do hope that is the end of it!

Today starts a new challenge at
where the lovely Chris is our host and has chosen "Paper Piecing" as the theme.

Our sponsor is the fabulous

I coloured with Copics a sweet little image from ADFD called Cookie Jar.
Instead of colouring his/her hair I decided to give them a hat and kept the design quite simple

 Details:

Flowers cut using SB Rose Creations, embossed with Clear embossing powder

Christmas again at Fab'n'Funky Challenge #235

Hi everyone,

I'm back after a week in the Bahamas and am still on island mode.
What a fabulous time we had with our
group of 23 wedding guests there for our Son's wedding.
The ceremony was on the beach, the weather was perfect.....cloudy skies but no rain, great for pictures.

I hardly had my bags unpacked when I started into
this week's DT requirements. I think I left my mojo on the beach somewhere
so it's been slow and steady.

I choose to make a CAS card for today's
where the theme is Christmas

We have two wonderful sponsors this week.
and

I choose to use a digital stamp from Dilly Beans #509 Amalia's Christmas Lights which can be found here.

Coloured with Copics, machine stitching around the image and Spellbinders Back to Basics Tag used for the sentiment created in Word.  I used glossy accents on the lights and red rhinestones for the holly, pretty cas but I'm happy with it.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Bingo ( Ribbon, rhinestones, die cut)

Thanks for checking in today.  I'll be back shortly with my post for TPS.
hugs,
Pat K xx

Christmas in May at Fab'n'Funky

Good day everyone,

I hope your week is going well and that the sun is shining for you today.

We've a new challenge starting today at
and as this is the last Wednesday of the month that means it's Christmas Time
We'd love to see how organized you are with getting those Christmas makes done early.

We are fortunate to have two wonderful sponsors this week

and

For my card I've used a digital image from Delicious Doodles called
"a Robin's Christmas" that can be found here.

Now this is a Teddy's aka Santa's view of Christmas. I won this lovely decoupage image and had fun putting him together ...no cutting, just punched out the layers...so easy.
I coloured A Robin's Christmas with Copics  then cut a Poppystamps "Grand Madison Window" die to show this beautiful view.  I have to confess...I've had this die for two years and I can't remember ever having used it up until now.  I was looking for the right scene I suppose.  I dry embossed the "wallpaper" layer with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Ribbon was from my stash, berries from WOC.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Christmas Card Challenge #26 - Anything Goes
52 Christmas Card Throwdown - May Stash Challenge
Christmas Cards All Year Round - May Challenge - Santa
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back shortly
with a warm weather creation for TPS...see you soon.

Hi everyone,
I hope you're having a good week so far.

It's been a long time since we've had such a cold, snowy winter as this one.

I'm hosting this week at Fab'n'Funky and our lovely Judith had the brilliant idea to have a Christmas challenge once a month....to help avoid the stress at Christmas and have all our cards ready. I was so on board with this theme because I was really scrambling last year.

We have the fabulous Delicious Doodles sponsoring this week.
I've used Four Calling Birds and went with non-traditional colours.
I'm so sick of all the snow and am really in need of a tropical vacation.....can you tell.

Image coloured with Copics.

Stickers

Hi everyone!   I hope your week is going well so far?  It's very quiet around our house as our darling granddaughters have gone home.  We had a wonderful time with them and I miss them already.
Tomorrow I'm off to visit an out of town craft store with a friend, list in hand.

Today starts a new challenge at Fab'n'Funky.

Our lovely Ciska has chosen a fun theme "You can stick it".
Our fabulous sponsor this week is

Bugaboo Stamps

Here is my card share for this challenge.  I really liked this beautiful image and wanted to try something different with it. Unfortunately this is one of those cards that look soooo much better IRL.  Not sure if it's the dimensions or just my lighting.
If you can, please check out the lovely creations made by my teammates - you are sure to be inspired.

I dug thru my stash and was able to find these fabulous BasicGrey chip stickers .
The pattern is Ambrosia...another one I've been hoarding!
I  printed a digi from Bugaboo called Silhouette, Elephant Paisley, cut it into a circle then coloured it with Copics.  I then added Utee, heat embossed it to give it a shiny appearance.
Once it was dry I mounted it onto the large BG chip sticker that had been distressed on the edges with TH distress ink in black soot.
The plain black circle was cut using SB Grand Nest. Circles and the orange scallop circle is made using SB Grand Decorative Circles One die.
Black gems are from my stash, as well as the black satin ribbon.
I used another sticker from the same collection on the top right corner.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
IDIC Challenge #173 - Put a frame around it

Bugaboo at Fab'n'Funky

Good morning all.  I hope your week is going well!
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to my new followers. I'm honoured that you've chosen to join me and I hope you find something that perhaps will inspire you in some small way.

Today starts a new challenge at

and

It's our fabulous, multi talented, super busy owner, Judith's turn to host this week and she has chosen
Cute and Cuddly as the theme.

We were fortunate enough to select a stamp of our choice from Bugaboo and I chose Ava Mermaid.  Two of our granddaughters are off to Florida this week for March Break and one will be celebrating her 10th birthday there so I thought she might like this card.  This is not the shape I had originally planned but I went back to my favourite 6x6 square card.   I used Alyce's tutorial that can be found here to help when it came to colouring Ava's tail!    Spellbinder ovals and Back to Basics Tags, MB Big Splash Border, along with CB Divine Swirl embossing folder were all used on this card.  The rosettes are from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  To colour the cheesecloth, I stamped TH Evergreen Bough Distressed Ink on my TH craft sheet, spritzed it with water to dilute and then added the cheesecloth....let dry and there you have it...perfectly coloured to match my SU Bermuda Bay cardstock.

I hope you have a chance to check out the challenge, see the wonderful creations my team mates have made and play along with us if you can.
