{Girly Monkey Birthday}

This is the last of the events that have kept me busy for the last couple of months, at least until July!

And let me tell you, I loved! this party, specially because it was all girly and pink, but also because everything was picture perfect!  A beautiful party for beautiful baby Isabela's 1st birthday.  The theme was inspired by “Curious George Inspired Monkey Birthday Party!" from Paiges of Style .  It was a real pleasure to work with Isabela's mom. She is one crafty and creative mommy and had ideas and details that we incorporated into every little thing.  She even created the popcorn cones, party hats for the kids and pompom cupcake toppers!

I found this adorable girl monkey clip art from Little Fairy Land and used her in the invitations, banner and favor boxes.

Centerpieces were ceramic pots filled with mini bananas and a centerpiece topper.

Food label pom poms created by Isabela's mom and labels to complete the look.

Water bottles for "thirsty monkeys".

The favor boxes to be filled with all the candy yummy-ness...

Since the party was held at Little Gym, we were not allowed to stick anything onto the walls, so we had to attach the banner to the table.

Wrapped Baby food jars for the baby guests.

The candy and cake table...

These chocolate monkey pops were created by a friend of the family.

Our now popular chocolate dipped marshmallows!

.

And, of course, a spectacular birthday hat for little Isabela.

I think this is the cutest party yet, what do you think?

Next up in July: More custom orders for baptisms, birthdays and baby showers and last and most importantly, my own little boy's 3rd birthday party, which I can't wait to show you!

See you soon!

{Partylicious} and Safari Baby Shower

Hello everyone!

I finally decided to give this party planning idea a try for real, and I'm glad to announce I had my first formal job this month!

I'm really excited to share with you my latest project.  This was a baby shower for my high school friend Felipe and his wife Heidi, whom are expecting their second baby boy.  She really wanted to go with aqua, lime and chocolate and little jungle animals.

With the beautiful cake!

We used chocolate malt balls, wrapped chocolate bars, candy covered peanuts, lollipops {which I wrapped in tissue and ribbon to carry the color theme} and candy dipped marshmallows.  The dessert table turned out beautiful!  It's a shame that the cake hadn't arrived yet.  I adore the polka dot balloons.  I buy them at a local party supply store.

As party favors we gave marshmallow babies, made by my good friends at MEL's Designs and I made chocolate covered Oreos in cellophane bags.

The banner featured an elephant, monkeys and a lion.  The mom-to-be loved the centerpieces I made for the Turtle Baby Shower, so we adapted those using the same jungle animals.

I'm a happy camper... everything turned out beautiful and sweet!  And I'm even happier because there are a couple more jobs lined up for next year!!!

Thanks to all my friends for all your support! 'Till next time!

Looking back... Baby's Monkey 1st Birthday

I'm already planning my baby's second birthday. I know, it's three months away, but for me it's never too early to start gathering ideas and start making things. Starting early makes a birthday full of little details.

So before I keep researching Robots, I thought I might share a few photos of Mauricio's Mokey 1st Birthday.

Since there are not many premade monkey-themed birthday supplies, everything was handmade. Favor bags were personalized and filled with age appropiate goodies. Baby guests got banana baby food, little spoons with tags, Gerber chewey fruit snacks, cookies and monkey beanie babies. Older kids got handmade notebooks, monkey pencils, stickers, monkey candy holders. We set up an ice cream bar with yummy toppings. Adults got specially wrapped tic-tacs. Balloon art was made by a very talented friend.

Such a great day! Looking forward to your next party!!!
