Cameo Spotlight Card

Hi All!
Just popping in super quick to share a card I created for the latest Cameo Spotlight Challenge.
You can read more about it here
It's late, I'm exhausted, here's my card.
Green: Scarf, Washi Tape.
Orange: Snowman nose.
Red: Snowman hat.
Grey: Background, polaroid.

I used probably my two most favorite Paper Smooches stamps: Freezy Fellas, Geo-Graphic.
I cut the super cute 'ho ho ho' polaroid out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Avery Elle Release Week - Merry & Bright

Welcome to Avery Elle's November release week and today is RELEASE DAY!
It's all there in the Avery Elle store so go on and have some fun!

Today I am sharing my projects for the new Merry & Bright set.

I cut this tree on my Silhouette and decided to use the 'bright' sentiment to show off an unconventional Christmas tree.

After making my first card, I decided it was a cool concept to stamp that merry stamp and use it as a negative space background paper.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you on their blogs too!
Also, Jamie will be sharing everything on the Avery Elle blog!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Avery Elle Release Week - Lovely Letters

Welcome to Avery Elle's November release week!
Are you excited yet?  Well, you really should be!

Today, the DT is sharing projects created with the upcoming release Lovely Letters.

One of my favorite things about Avery Elle stamps, aside from how they stamp because the quality is amazing, is her sentiments.  The font choice are always just beautiful.  I love them!
Meet Lovely Letters.
Lovely letters is a letter stamp set and all the stamps have been designed so you can line them up and stamp them at once.  I LOVE THAT!
For my card, I cut my snowman shape with my Silhouette and then I stamped my sentiment.  I backed the negative of my snowman die cut with glitter cardstock and then used patterned paper and Avery Elle ribbon for the bow.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team did too!
Also, Jamie will be sharing her creations on the Avery Elle blog!

JJ Bolton will be sharing her creation using Lovely Letters on release day, November 5th!
Now for a contest!!!!
To celebrate release week, Jamie is giving away a $25 credit to the Avery Elle store, www.averyelle.com

I created with a roller coaster that I cut out with my Silhouette!

Gallery Idol Round 4

***this is my 2nd post of the day.  Scroll down to see my Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge card but don't forget to vote for me too!***

Oh my gosh! ROUND 4!
The top 10.
I'm dreaming, right?

You can see the announcement here.
I still can't believe it!

The theme for Round 4 is to make a card something from around the house.
I raided my cabinets and drawers, even went digging in the garage for stuff I might have forgotten... Then, I came back to my craft room and just tried everything.

My loot included cotton balls, parchment paper, chicken wire, bamboo forks... and then I tried...
 NAIL POLISH.

Yep.  Nail polish.

It took about 8 tries to get the right splatter effect but boy was it fun and gosh do I like it.
I think what makes me the happiest about this card is that while I fully abided by the challenge rules, I also managed to create a card good enough to give.  Sometimes when I make a card for a challenge, I can lose myself in creating the card and I am never happy with the end result.

I love how the nail polish also has a subtle sparkle to it too.  Super cool.

I cut the paper doll people and the sentiment on my Silhouette Cameo.
Talk about a tool that does it all.

I hope you enjoy my card and perhaps I've inspired you to try out some nail polish crafting! It is really fun!

Now, I ask you to GO VOTE FOR ME!

Thanks and have a great day!

A Cut Above, Day 4

Can you tell I've been having fun with my dies?
Oh my gosh, so much fun.
I'm a little (ok, a lot) behind in my A Cut Above class homework...

However, ever since my Papertrey Ink ordered arrived on Saturday I have been inspired by the new Winter Wisteria color!
(OH MY GOODNESS I'M OBSESSED WITH THAT COLOR!)
I was determined to make something with it ASAP!

I didn't intend on making this card for this class, which is all about partial die cutting until I realized what I wanted was the banner from the PTI tag #5 die, but longer... and then it occurred to me to just partially die cut it and ta-da!  Perfect-o - exactly what I needed!

Side note: I cut the polaroid using my Silhouette.
I love how easy it is to create whatever I want whenever I need it and until that Lawn Fawn Say Cheese arrives at my doorstep, this will have to do!  PS- it is on it's way. :)

I also used the world's greatest stamp set Paper Smooches Party Posse and some wonderful patterned papers.   The sentiment is from Paper Smooches too... but I'm ready for bed so I'm not looking that one up right now.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday Hamster

Hello all!
I'm taking a break from the A Cut Above class (even though I did use my Silhouette) to create a birthday card for a my friend's daughter who is turning 3 this weekend.

My husband thinks we are ridiculous...
that my friend & I are essentially making cards for each other.
Well, he might be right but I'm hoping Rachel will like it!
Oh my gosh, every time I stamp with this little Paper Smooches Hamster, I get giddy.
Honestly, I don't know if a cuter stamp even exists!  He is SO stinkin' cute!

I used my Silhouette to cut the polaroid window and then masked the background to stamp the dots (Paper Smooches Primary) and the clouds (Hero Arts).  I also added the Hero Arts Enelope pattern to the grass just to fill in the blank spaces.
I love the way the masking in the polaroid turned out!
I'm actually finding myself really enjoying masking.
:)
The hamster is from Paper Smooches Party Posse and the pennants are from Paper Smooches Hang Ups.

I went to the Paper Smooches Sparks inspiration photos and found this Sparks challenge that I somehow never played in.... WHAT? How did I miss one?!?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
