Spring Market update
Hello there,
We had another successful Crop Market event last Saturday. A special thank you to our DT team, the team @ Papier, Nadhrah for her guest appearance and all the marketeers (participants) who took part. It was definitely a fun & busy day at the store. Well, to some it may be a good de-stressing session but I believe it also added a lil bit of excitement & mental stimulation (shall I say, "stress?") to some of us too... imagine having to complete 5 projects in 3 hours. Lol :o). To me, it was definitely great fun seeing you all and having the chance to get my hands busy again. And most importantly, I hope you enjoyed the session tremendously. Well, here're some pics in random order (guest names are not mentioned to protect their privacy ).
Sharm looking rather serious... "r we doing it rite?" 2 different sessions at the same table... phew! we managed alright
I love the Tim Holtz tissue tape... so easy to work with with endless possibilities
all smiles :o) with Nadhrah

Spring Crop Market
Hello crafters,
ps note: The tags are pre-cut using the latest Tim Holtz tag die but the rest of the assembling is in your little d-i-y kit.
Just a little run-down on the rules of the game:
* Each marketeer will be given one kit complete with all the materials required for the make-n-takes
* Proceed to the various craft stations (5) preferably limit to a maximum of 5 pax per station and it should take you about 15 mins to complete each project.
* Once you have completed one project, proceed to the next station and as a courtesy to other crafters as well as the instructor, please wait for the next session to begin to join in (new session every 30 mins)
* There will be 5 projects in total so you should have plenty of time to complete all the projects within the 3-hours Market Time
T&C (important note):
Appreciate your kind cooperation & understanding of our rules of the game for Saturday. See you then!
Don't forget its Spring Crop Market this Saturday, 26th March, 2011 at 2.00pm!
Here's a little surprise for all. Guest artist Ms Nadrah Maidin will also be presenting a little make-n-take as a bonus project for all. Special thank you to Nadrah for her kind participation at such last minute notice.
Just to give you an idea of what's happening on Saturday.
Our DT team Amelia, Rosa, Sharm & myself, have each created a tag project using various techniques & mediums such as stamping, embossing, distressing techniques and more. And to add to the Spring time mood, each of the make-n-takes will have a little bloom embellishment. Thus, learn to make various types of d-i-y blooms using various materials such as cardstock, fabric & MT tape.

Supplies to bring: Wet & dry glue, scissors (precision scissors where possible)
T&C (important note):
1. Due to materials availability, some materials given will vary slightly however all the kits will consist of the same number of items & materials. Materials may vary slightly to the actual samples shown but all techniques used will be the same.
2. Due to time limitation & the nature of the crop, we are unable to replace any kits/materials should you be dissatisfied with the end result. After all, the idea of the crop is to share & learn the various tips & techniques and we hope that you will have fun meeting other crafters alike.
3. One kit per paid participant only.
4. No refunds or exchanges of any form for paid participation but non-attendance. In the event of non-attendance, you will be given the kit to take home and you can refer to samples and we regret that there will not be a replacement session.

We started of with tag challenge. Don't we love to know new friends?
Here are the beautiful tags created by the talented ladies.
This little girl created a beautiful tag especially for me. So sweet!
The 2nd challenge was to make a card using flower patterned papers and also to have odd number of flowers on the card. Our theme was "Flowers"
Shamu creates beautiful flowers. Don't you think so?
That's Evelyn (yellow cardigan) & Shazalina busy creating.
Well, Amelia is well prepared for all the challenges that she completed the card so fast!!

Crop Party Photos!
Hello everyone!! Yesterday we had an awesome crop party with so many talented ladies in the store. Let me walk you thru the photos as I explain further.
We started our warm-up challenge by making a name tag for the person on your left.
Here were all the beautiful tags done by the scrappers. Pretty isn't it? Majority used pink, I wonder why? LOL!!
First challenge was to create a layout using music title as their layout title.
They were given only 40 mins to complete the layout. I was amazed what they did.
Here are the completed layouts & also not so completed layout... hehehe :)
Second challenge was concept challenge. Scrappers need to use only 6 products out of 15 products in the list & were given 45 mins to complete. For the second round, most of the scrappers were not so pressured compared to the first.
Samples of 2nd challenge, beautiful layouts!!
After the second challenge, we had a special sale for the scrappers who attended the crop party. A very special way to thank them for their support. We also had the RAK giving ceremony.
Yuz won the best tag challenge.
Maz also won the best tag challenge.
Liza won the first challenge.
Yuz won the second challenge.
Jessica won the Best Dressed category.
Of course we had yummy donuts & coffee for refreshment.
What a coincidence, the best dressed packaging matched Jessica's dress!!
Here are the pretty ladies who came dress in red & pink. Thanks ladies for your support and looking forward to see you in our next crop party!! I am glad that these creative ladies went back with 2 beautiful layouts they made in the party :) At the mean time, happy scrapping!!
Xoxo Jessy
