Scrappy Saturday - Love Love Love

This week while I had out the punches from the Vienna layout I created this layout out Abbi and her friend Megan.  Megan posted this on Abbi's social media for her birthday and I just had to screen shot it.  It's so sweet.  The paper is Simple Stories Sweet Talk from our February Scraproom kit.  I used a bit of washi from the stuff I'm trying to use up for 2021.  The title is die cut.

One more down for this years challenge.  I plan on recapping my total each quarter so at the end of this month.  I've done some alterations to challenge adding other types of projects and measure quarterly instead of bi monthly.

Sketch Challenge - Vienna

So it's the begining of the month and there is a new challenge up at the Schnockered Scrappers Challenge blog.   For this one I created a sketch.   Be sure to check it out.

The layout I  created if of Vienna.  The paper and some of the embellishments are Simple Stories Cozy Days from a Scraproom kit last fall.   I punched a bunch of flowers out of cardstock in matching colors added stickles to the centers and die cut the title with Memory Box dies.

That sweet face.  Vienna is my puppy she may be over 12 years old but she'll always be my puppy.

Shoot For The Stars - Stars and Stripes Card Series

Good Morning.   I have been working on getting this series started since Monday.  But you know how you get into that cycle of being tired and not having enough time to get everything done in a day. Then can't fall asleep at night thinking about all of the things you haven't completed, which just adds to the vicious cycle of not getting enough things done while being exhausted all day.  That's about how it was coming out of May and recovering from my Spring cold.  Now we are all back to our regular selves I hope to get back on track.

This series will be a somewhat Patriotic one to there will be 5 cards with Stars and Stripes hopefully they will jump start you to make your own Patriotic Inspired card for upcoming events in your life or maybe you will find a technique you just have to try or revisit.

Today's card uses a clear stamp set from My Favorite Things Stamps.  I've heat embossed the greeting in Gold and stamped the stars all around in shades of red and blue.  Everything is layered onto blue cardstock and a red card.  I have of course used a ton of Stickles on the stars and some striped ribbon to add the stripe part of our series!

Hope you enjoy it and your having a wonderful start to your Summer.  Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today!

Last Christmas Card For Awhile

I promise for now.  I'm done now for a bit.  But think of it this way I will have a few when I start getting ready for next Christmas.  This one is for the Fusion - Season Greetings Challenge.  There is a sketch and an inspiration piece, you can see these below or on their blog.

I chose to use both items.  The focal image is a Unity Stamp.  The holly and berries are from Silhouette and the paper is from Echo Park.

Thanks so much for stopping by and putting up with my residual Holiday Card issue.  Have a Happy Monday!

Day 3 Fab 5 Fall Cards - Misted Leaves

Hello WEDNESDAY!  We re more than half way through the Fab 5 Fall Cards!  How fun!

Today my share has some misted leaves.  I actually misted an entire piece of watercolor paper with Distress Stains and Shimmer Mists then die cut them, with the LawnFawn stitched leaves, after the paper dried.  The thanks, also from LawnFawn,  was cut from copper mirror card and the for being so thoughtful comes from the LawnFawn set Many Thanks.  Everything is layered onto ivory cardstock and again on a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper.  The card base has a swiss dot embossed ivory piece on it.  Lastly I added some copper and lime green stickles for sparkle.
Don't forget to check out Dianne's inspiring card over at I See A Pattern Forming today!   Only 2 more days after this.  Don't miss any subscribe over on the right sidebar --------------->>>.

SOAR - Memory Box Stamps

Good Morning,  I'm over on the Memory Box Blog  today with a mostly stamped card.  I fell in love with the Windswept CS202J stamp as soon as I saw it.  I love the idea of using it for ever season and time of day.  Of course this may be because I'm from the Windy City?  Who knows?   Here I stamped it in Green and misted the entire background in blue.  For the letters I stamped the Pensive Alphabet CS2212J stamp in brown  and cut out the letters for my greeting.   Finally the bird was cut from red cardstock using the new Birds of a Feather 30045 Open Studio set.   I did go back and add some Stickles dots to some of the leaves to give a bit of sparkle and dimension it looked flat without it.  I do love how it turned out.
Thank you so much for stopping by today for tons more inspiring ideas check out  The new Memory Box Look Book it has so many amazing samples from the latest release you really really don't want to miss it!
