Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Happy Fall Y'all!

How cute is this scarecrow???  Lisa Hindsley has created this Friendly Scarecrow for Stampendous and I think he is just so sweet.  He's a lot of fun to color and I really enjoyed making this card.  I'm sure I'll be getting him inky again soon.  The fence border punch seemed like a natural on this card and I added a sentiment from the Happy Messages Perfectly Clear stamp set by Stampendous.

My youngest son and I both celebrate birthdays this month, so I'm sure this card will be sent to someone special very soon.  How can you not share such a Friendly Scarecrow?

Time for me to get busy on my to-do list for the day.  It's my day off and my list is a mile long.  Hope all is well in your corner of the world.  Thanks for stopping by!

It's Finally Fall!

It's finally Fall!  I don't know about your neck of the woods, but in our area the leaves are changing, the air is cooling and pumpkins are everywhere.  I love Fall!  This past weekend, our town celebrated with our annual Fall Fest, so now I am in the spirit!  That's why I was so excited to get Jack Sunflower inky.  Isn't he great? Jack is from the Lisa Hindsley Collection by Stampendous.  I paired him with the Autumn Words background stamp.  Lisa has some really fantastic images, I'll share another one with you tomorrow.

I colored Jack Sunflower with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers - I've had so much fun experimenting with color combinations.  Speaking of combos, have you see the "Color of the Day" posts by my friend, Jennifer Dove?  She's an AMAZING artist!  Check out her blog.  You will definitely be inspired by her creativity!

Ok friends, it time for me to scoot. Hope all is well in your corner of the world and that you'll take time to get inky today!

I LOVE coloring the super adorable Stampendous Kiddos!  The Leaf Boy Kiddo is no exception!  I inked him up for today's card and used my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers to color him.  After I mounted the panels on my card base I embellished with TaupeLeaf Green and Burgundy Color Fragments. With all of the Color Fragments available, the combinations are endless!

Stampendous Travels Down Maya Road

This week the Stampendous design teams had the opportunity to incorporate Maya Road supplies into our projects.  HOW FUN!

I decided to use the Maya Road Jonathan Chipboard Alphabet.  I inked up the letters with VersaMark ink and sprinkled on Stampendous Carnelian PEARLustre Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I love this color!  I reach for it often - if you don't have it, I think you probably need it, just say'n.

On the card base, I stamped Stampendous Jumbo Leaves with VersaMagic Red Brick and Gingerbread inks.  The main image is the adorable Stampendous Cling Leaf Girl Kiddo, which I colored with Copics.  I think she is just so stinkin' cute!

This card was so much fun to create and I loved working with the Maya Road chipboard letters.  I have so many ideas on what to do with the rest of the alphabet!  Stay tuned for more!

Be sure to check out Janelle and Lea's blogs today - they're sharing Stampendous and Maya Roads goodies also!  Plus swing by the Stampendous Blog to see what creative inspiration is waiting for you there.  Then, stop by again on Friday for our big blog hop!  You'll definitely be inspired!

Well friends, time for me to scoot!  It's been so hot here lately - I am definitely ready for fall!  I'm looking forward to bundling up in a sweatshirt like this little kiddo and playing in the leaves!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Stampendous Sneak Peek Week

This is an exciting week for the Stampendous Design Teams!  We get to SNEAK PEEK some of our favorite images from the new catalog.  They are ALL amazing and I would be hard-pressed to pick one favorite.  With all that fabulousness, how could I possibly pick just one?!?!?  It's like asking me which of my kids is my fave.

The card I'm sharing with you today uses the gorgeous Leaf Background stamp and the Kind Friendship sentiment.  This image was so much fun to color!  I finally spent some time playing with my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the result.  After I colored the panel, I embossed with Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I stamped with embossed the sentiment on vellum, so I didn't cover up too much of those beautiful leaves.

Just wait until you see this new catalog.  You'll want to start you Christmas list early! Everything from the new catalog will be available for purchase through the Stampendous website on July 20th and they have FREE shipping until the end of July on any order over $50!  What a deal!

Now you get to take a peek at Suzanne's blog and see what she has to sneak peek today.  You're sure to be wow-ed by her beautiful creativity!

Time for me to skedaddle.  Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Fast Finish Fun

Stampendous and Beacon Adhesives are teaming up this week and sharing some really great projects with you!  If you didn't already know, Beacon is the Official Glue of TLC's Craft Wars!  So you know it's gotta be the best!  For my project today I used Fast Finish Decoupage Glue.  It was so easy to work with and so much fun.

I chose to make a really simple project today.  I used a plastic pumpkin that I picked up on clearance after Halloween.  I thought I would make a simple Thanksgiving decoration.  I stamped Stampendous Autumn Words on plain white tissue paper with Tsukineko Rich Brown ink.  Then tore the tissue paper into about 2"x3" pieces and adhered them to the pumpkin with Fast Finish and then added another layer of the glue over the top to seal it all.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a good picture since it's really overcast here today.

I think I may head out today and see if I can find a few more pumpkins.  My boys want to make some of their own.  It's an easy project that would be fun for kids.  They have the next few days off of school, so it will be a fun project for us to work on this week.

Be sure to check back here on Saturday for our big Stampendous/Beacon Blog Hop - you're sure to be inspired.  In the meantime, check out what some of my team mates have to share with you today.

Rhubarb's Harvest Blessings

I'm back again today with another Rhubarb card.  I love this little guy from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps.  This little bundle of love is from the Rhubarb's Autumn Joys stamp set.  It is the cutest set and I have had so much fun working with it this month!  Not only are the images adorable, there are a bunch of great sentiments included also.

While I'm here I have to thank Korin at Sweet n' Sassy Stamps for giving me this opportunity to work with her wonderful stamps.  And thanks to Taylor for taking a chance on me and asking me to be a Guest Designer for the month.  Just because my month is up, that doesn't mean this is the last you'll see of these great stamps - Rhubarb will be back!  He's just too cute to resist!  Hopefully, he will soon be joined by more of his friends from SNSS.  I'm hoping to add Rubarb's buddy Cocoa to my stamp collection soon.  That little mouse is just so stinkin' cute!

That's all I have for you today, friends.  I hope you'll take time to get inky today and that you'll kick back with a cup of tea and take a look at the Sweet n' Sassy Stamps website.  I'm sure you'll find many stamps that are calling your name.  Korin has done a beautiful job designing the stamp sets, there is a great selection and she has included some really great sentiments.  Her scripture stamps are beautiful and so many of them are on my ever-expanding wish list.  What better way to spread The Word than with a gorgeous stamped card?

Hope all is well in your corner of the world.  Take time to get inky today.

Thankful Rhubarb

I have been having so much fun working with these adorable Rhubarb images.  He is just the cutest little bear!  Sweet n' Sassy Stamps just released a bunch of beautiful new stamps and other goodies - be sure to check out the website to see the latest additions to their collection.  I can tell you my wish list is growing and growing!!!

This card was so much fun to put together.  I actually used supplies I still had out on my table from my last project.  Can you believe that I didn't even have to trim the patterned papers down?  They were already the perfect sizes - I guess it was all meant to be!  I'm not sure yet who this card is for, but I'm sure someone special will love to see this cute little guy waiting for them in their mailbox.

Well friends, that's all I have to share today.  I hope things are well in your corner of the world and that you take time today to not only get inky, but that you will listen to Rhubarb and take time to "be thankful".

Rhubarb's Autumn Joy

I am so excited to have been chosen to be a Guest Designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month!  Korin has really great stamps to choose from, her images are so cute and she has chosen beautiful sentiments and scriptures to accompany them.  Take a few minutes and take a peek at their website.

After checking out all of the stamps she offers, I finally settled on this adorable bear!  Meet Rhubarb....isn't he just the cutest?  This image and sentiment are from a set called Rhubarb's Autumn Joys.  The set includes three images and a great assortment of sentiments for Fall.  You'll be seeing more from this set this month.  Stay tuned!

I had so much fun working with this image.  This card is already in the mailbox, waiting to be sent to my Aunt Kathie for her birthday.  In fact, Aunt Kathie was the reason I chose this stamp set - she loves teddy bears and I thought this Autumn set would be perfect for her September birthday.
 Happy Birthday, Aunt Kathie!

Well friends, I better get going.  I hope all is well in your corner of the world.  Take time to get inky today!
