LOTV Celebration Bear

Hello lovely people,

I'm just popping in with a reminder of our LOTV October Facebook challenge as you have just a few more days to come and join in as it ends on 15th October.  We are going all retro, so would like you to share a project using your first ever LOTV stamp...or one of the first if you can't remember exactly!

I am about 99% sure this was my first LOTV stamp, and it is certainly one of my most used, although sadly it's now retired so I'm glad I hung onto it!

I've used some beautiful papers, ribbons and sparkly things from The Ribbon Girl to give this a gorgeously girly feel.

I hope all is well in your worlds and if not, sending hugs.

Beautiful ballerina

Hello lovely people,

I promised I'd have a few more projects for you this week and today's is a card using some gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl.

I've used this paper pad quite a lot because it has the prettiest softest shades of blue and pink which are perfect for girly cards.  Also, I often find that the patterns on 12x12 inch papers are a bit big for cards but this one is perfect.

The image is a fairly recently released one from LOTV and I think she is simply adorable; doesn't every little girl want to be a ballerina or a fairy...or both?!

This was a fairly classic design for me with the flower clusters but I did add a couple of sequins, which is something a bit new for me!

Thank you to the fabulous friend who gave me a little gift of sparkly brads, which were so perfectly matching in colour for this project :-)

Bike ride with bunny

Hello lovely people,

Today I have a card using a very select few goodies from The Ribbon Girl.

I totally intended to add some clusters of flowers but once I had the letters in place, it just looked a little busy, and I was more than a little bit happy not to cover those GORGEOUS papers!

As you can see, this was a personalised card, which was a commission for a work colleague.  I was delighted when she picked out this image for the card because this pair are utterly charming and I knew they would be so fun to colour :-)

As I said, I didn't add much in the way of embellishment but the ribbon is really pretty with a lovely texture and matches the papers perfectly.

I can highly recommend the self-adhesive pearls as well; they are fab!

Sweet pea slumber

Hello lovely people,

We have a new 'Use any image' challenge starting over on The Ribbon Girl blog, so you can enter with any type of project as long as you include an image.
There are loads of fab prizes up for grabs too :-)

I am still working my way through using all the amazing recent-ish images from LOTV and isn't this wee mouse just adorable?

The edge die was one of a few Crafter's Companion edges I bought recently, and this one is definitely my favourite.  The 'waste' pieces included a couple of cute swirls that were perfect to tuck in around the flowers...not that you can see where they came from because it's quite a deep edge and I only left a little bit peeking out!

LOTV Retro Girls

Hello lovely people,

Have you seen the super cool new Retro Girls images from LOTV yet?

Ok, you can't actually get your hands on them until 3rd April, but then they will be available as Simply Print sheets, digi images and pre-order of rubber stamps.

I finally grabbed a few hours to play with them and thought it would be fun to make a matching set using one of the pair from each decade.

I'm sharing the whole set at once because I do think they look good all together...and I'm too lazy to write 4 separate blog posts for them - lol!

Little flower fairy

Hello lovely people,

This is hump day for me after my usual Wednesday off and already I can't wait for the weekend to come around!

I was feeling a little mojo-less yesterday so didn't do much crafting but Dr. Hubby and I did finish watching the last few episodes of series 6 of Game of Thrones...very exciting!

Also very exciting of course is that we have a new challenge for you at In The Pink and our theme this time is...

WHAT'S NEW?
So, we want to see a card celebrating something new e.g. new baby, new home, or a card with some new stash on it
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our fabulous sponsor this time is The Ribbon Girl
They have generously provided this gorgeous paper pad as a prize for the winner; isn't that just sooooo pretty!

I have taken the opportunity to use some new stash so here we have a gorgeous new stamp and new lace on my card :-)

In contrast, the papers are very old ones that I just love with a little distressing to the edges.

This cute little fairy comes with a friend in the same set so hopefully I'll have chance to use her soon too.

I've coloured her with Inktense pencils...under close scrutiny from some crafty friends - lol!

Isn't that lace absolutely gorgeous?  The rest of the embellies are fairly standard for me and the tiny pink blobs are from a stamen cluster that I pulled apart!

If you haven't already done so then do pop over to In The Pink and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Pink Ladies.

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,
