Hello Spring ...

This cold snowy weather has been good for stamping.  This card will be entered into this weeks Mod Squad Challenge...spring forward.

Stamps:  Just Believe, Hello Spring, Sweet Summer (SU)
Paper:  Garden Green, White (SU)
DP:  Birght & Basic (Recollections)
Ink:  freshly cut grass, sunflower (Lawn Fawn); black (Versafine)
Accessories:  twine, pearls (Michaels); Copics; wink of stella glitter pen (Zig); Scan n Cut (Brother); sponge dauber (SU)

I inked the flower image with a sponge dauber and think it turned out well.  Tried something new and will use this technique again.  It goes much quicker than a marker.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day!

Some Spring for The Paper Players

This week at The Paper Players, Jaydee is hosting and she has a theme challenge ... Spring has Sprung ... to play along with.  I dusted off an old SU set, flipped through some layouts, pulled out some markers and got inky.  There are a lot of little squares in my trash that just didn't work.  So here is the final card ...

Stamps:  Hello Spring
Paper:  White, Blushing Bride
DSP:  Blushing Bride
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  Prismacolor Markers, CB square die, So Saffron ribbon, rhinestone ice brads, Boho and itty bitty punch, pearl, stripes embossing folder, dimensionals
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.
  • This layout is from a previous MOJO sketch by Mary Fish.
  • This square die cuts out the square and a border.  I colored each border with a Prismacolor Marker.
  • This stamp set is from 1997 and I've loved it since I first saw it.
  • I thought the card looked a little "empty" in the middle of the squares so I punched some flowers out, glued them together and added a pearl.  It's amazing what effect a little flower can have.
Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

All that glitters ...

I finally found some stamp time ... yeah baby!  Yesterday afternoon while doing laundry, I had some free time to play in between loads.

I love to participate with the gals over at The Paper Players.  So today's card came from their theme this week ... spring.  While looking at the Design Team's cards, I noticed that Ann, my fellow Pal, had used some Dazzling Diamonds on her card.  Hmmm...I have some of that and haven't used it in a while.  I'll make a card with some sparkle.  Well ....  I'll let my card speak for itself.

Stamps:  In Full Bloom (retired), Hello Spring (retired)
Paper:  Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa (retired), White
DSP:  Certainly Celery (retired)
Ink:  Black, Close to Cocoa (retired), Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Accessories:  CB Fanciful Labels, brads, sponge dauber, Stickles, Prisma Markers, Nestabilities oval dies, dragonfly punch (non SU)
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Ok, no Dazzling Diamonds but almost a bottle of Stickles...hehehe  I just couldn't stop adding glue glitter or is glitter glue?  This card went from "I like it" to "oh, a bit gaudy".  I still had to post it though.  It just makes me smile and I had so much fun with it.

The layout came from February's edition of Stampin' Success.  It was on my table so I flipped through it and thought this was a quick and easy layout to use and it was.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
