A MOJO birthday

This card has gone postal to my sister-in-law for her birthday.  My inspiration came from this week's MOJO sketch ... go square or round.

Stamps:  Feel The Sun (Verve)
Paper:  White, Perfect Plum, Black (SU)
DP:  Bold Basics (Recollections)
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  circle and leaf die (Spellbinders), glimmer brad, pop dots (SU), ribbon (H.L.)

Here the inspiration photo from MOJO Monday ...

There are lots of layers on this card.  The flower was stamped twice and the center was cut out of the second one and layered with pop dots.  The sentiment was also raised up to add just a bit more dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Verve card carnival

I uploaded this card to Splitcoast on Friday for Verve's Card Carnival contest.  I've had a fun filled weekend so am a little late getting it up on my blog.

Stamps:  Love Is, Feel the Sun (Verve)
Paper:  Basic Gray, White
DSP:  Simply Delightful (MME)
Ink:  Memento Black, Bordering Blue
Accessories:  Nestabilities Label 1 and border die, twine, button, edge distresser, sponge dauber, Copics, pop dots
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.
  • I distressed the edges on the DSP and then took my black SU marker and ruler and drew lines around each layer.
  • The flower was stamped twice and cut out separately from the leaves.  I attached the flower with pop dots.
  • The sentiment was sponged with Bordering Blue while still in the die to take away the stark white look.
  • Lots of patterns on this one.

I used the MOJO sketch as my starting point.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Wildflower ....

I'm trying to squeak this card into the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week before Mr. Linky closes at noon.  I'm also going to post it to The Paper Player challenge.  These are two of my favorite challenges to play along with. Here is my take on the two challenges ...

Stamps:  Feel the Sun - Verve
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, watercolor (non SU)
DSP:  Greenhouse Gala
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Memento Black, reinkers--Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories:  aqua brush, Sakura glitter pen, dimensionals
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

I'm still practicing on that watercoloring.  I even went and bought an aqua brush to try something different.  I still need to practice, practice, practice.

I cut the flower and leaves out separately and adhered the flower on with dimensionals.  I hope my sentiment speaks louder than my flower so that it fits into The Paper Players challenge.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~
