Challenge Card Using Polkadoodles

So, I needed a card to give my 5 y/o
grandson, LJ, for after his last soccer game
of the year on Thurs. July 11. Naturally,
set to create the proper card. The inside
of the card has one of the set's sentiments,
"From your #1 Fan." I added an s to Fan
because grampa wanted to be included,
of course. LOL
I colored my little dude with Copic
markers and stamped a random
sentiment and LJ. Now, the real winner
of this will be LJ, in my book anyway...

LJ just scored a goal...sure doesn't
look excited but I'm guessing because
it was 84 degrees outside.

Challenge Card

So, here I am in another challenge. It's been
forever since I played along with some but I
have some time this week since I crammed
everything in the past 2 weeks, health wise.
I am entering this card into:

Here's my entry.
I used a Sweet 'n Sassy set for the image,
and the inside sentiment (I forgot to take
a pic). The "there's no place like home"
came from an old A'muse set. I used
a circle die cut to make a peek a boo spot
for my hot chocolate gal. She was colored
with Copic markers and I raised the
pattern paper (Circle) with a thick mounting
tape and then raise my little lady.

MFT Sketch #618 Challenge

Well, I was unable to be creative for my own
PIP Challenge but I was able to join in with
Here's the sketch to follow...
Here's my card...
I embossed the white card front and
used daubers to add some ink. I used an
older MFT set, can't remember the name
or if it's even available yet, but I love it!
I colored it with Copic markers and
added a sparkle pen to the snow. The
scarf, hat, and coat were paper pieced.
I heat embossed the sentiment to a dark
gray tag. I used mounting tape to raise up
the images and sentiment.

Another Card for Challenges

Check it out...another card ready for some challenges. It's easy to be creative while lounging in Florida during not so nice weather. Sooooo here it is...

I get really annoyed when my pictures don't look
white!! ARRGGHH... But, here it is. The super cute
image is from Lee Holland. I always enjoy browsing
his etsy shop. I colored it with SN TriBlends using
two of my favorite colors, teals and corals. I kept
the card relatively clean and simple. It took me
about 10 minutes to make and the others went
even quicker. It's a great birthday card that's
super easy peasy!! Hope you like it too!!
I'm entering it in the following challenges...

A Card for Some Challenges

Well, it's been forever since I've found the time or the incentive to join in, BUT, here ya go!!

I used a stencil for the colored rectangles,
sponged with two different colors. I've always
loved to combine these shades.  I die cut the
butterfly and colored it using SN TriBlends.
I curled the wings a tad for dimension and
raised it up with mounting tape.
Just added a sentiment and layers to finish.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenge.

Father's Day Card

Hard to believe, I know...I barely take time to
create let alone take time to join in challenges,
BUT, I decided to give some a shot. lol.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

This was an easy card except for all the
fussy cutting I had to do. I colored the
stamped images (Darcy) using Copic markers.
I edged the sentiment and embossed piece
with a brown ink.

Challenge Time

Well...one good thing about having to stay
home is the fact that I can make cards to
mail out and join in challenges! This card
went to a friend of mine in NY. I met her when
she was just a very little girl. Her father and
I played cards and visited. I became friends
with the whole family and this little girl,
now in her 20s, with two children of her own,
are still friends. They were all from Russia.
Her birthday is today and she is now 27 yrs.
old. WOW! I entered this card these challenges:

I used a stamp set from MFT. I'm a Polar
Bear lover and these little bears make the
best! I colored the bears with Copics and
used daubers to add Memento inks to the
little panels. MFT had matching die cuts,
that usually cut out perfectly...but...I didn't
take my time, so they are a bit off.
I raised the bears up with pop dots, created
a couple of layers and finished!!

Thanks for stopping by and please

Brighten Your Day

I enjoyed making this card because sunshine
can brighten anyone's day. AND, so began
this card.
I used a set of stamps from Lawn Fawn. I
wanted to make a card for a lady on my
Meals On Wheels route. She is affected greatly
by lack of sun. Her physical health goes way
down on gloomy days, which in WI there are
many. So, I said good bye to her before I made
my way down here to Florida. This card was
made especially for that sweet lady! I stamped
lots of suns to create my background.
They're colored using Copics and then I added
Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen over each sun.
The pic doesn't show the pretty shimmer.

I'm entering this card in the following
challenges.

Another Day for Sympathy

Well...another loss of a friend's parent. A
good friend of mine, that I haven't seen in over
40 years, let me know her mom passed away.
It's amazing how time can pass but not the
affection a person feels towards friends that
have created good memories, including those
of parents. Jan's mom holds such a warm
spot in my heart and memories. Here is the
card I mailed out today.
This is all about the fabulous paper and great
stamps from Crafter's Companion. I took 2
pieces of the pretty floral paper and cut out
some flowers and raised them up for some
lovely dimension. Sadly, the photo doesn't show
the lift but it turned out to be a great card.
Stamped sentiment and complete. The inside
was some more layers of great papers, a
stamped sentiment, and a couple more cut flowers.

I'll be entering this card in the following challenge.

Sympathy Cards

It's always sad to make sympathy cards,
because I ONLY make them when I need
them. Boo hoo. Since I am in FL now I went
with two VERY simple cards. Two friends each
lost a parent recently, one mother and one father.
It doesn't matter the age, mental, or physical
condition of our parent, it's always a hole in
our hearts. So, these two cards took a blink
to make. My fave kind of card. A die cut
sentiment from Crafter's Companion, and ribbon.
The cardstock makes it look like a lacy
background. Sometimes paper is the key!
I'm entering these in the following challenges.

A Card For A Challenge or More...

This card is entered in:
Cards and More #177 pets and other furry friends
Artbymiran Challenge #77 anything goes

Here's my card
I made 12 of this card, different little critters, all from
Fun Stampers Journey for my daughter, Amber. She
is sending them to children at a local Children's Hospital.
I can't remember what stamps the tree and the sentiment
are from...what can I say? I'm on vacation in Florida and
I seem to have left my brain at home. I colored the
images using my Copics and raised the fox for
dimension. A very simple card but I am sure the kids
will enjoy receiving them! Thanks for stopping by and

Time for Misc. Challenges!

This started with an awesome digi from Gerda Steiner Designs.
I received this darling little bear, FREE. I didn't realize that
I was suppose to pay "Pay what you want"...AND, I would have paid
if I ever read emails through. lol. My bad, but I felt I should
at least create a card with it and share the link to Gerda.

I really enjoyed coloring this little fella and once
colored I fussy cut him out. I had printed out 2
so I could color just his paws and watermelon and
just cut that out to raise up on the original colored
image. I stamped a watermelon slice and sentiment from
I raised the bear, and his additional layered paws using
Foam dots.
I added some FS Journey Glaze to
the seeds of the watermelon. I put my paper layers
together and completed my card as shown!

Girls Just Want To Have Fun

Boy, do girls want to have fun! I just returned from
a great time, at a lovely lake, at my friend's cottage.
The fun was even boosted by the fact that two more
friends joined us for some major stamping and
laughing good times. We all had some creative
blocks, boo boos, AND some very successful card
making. Hanging with your buds is TOPS! This
card is one of the cards I made while there.
This awesome stamp set was from Stamping Bella.
I colored it using Copic markers. A couple of my
friends said I should raise the bow on the shoes
and add some bling. I think they gave me some great
advice! The sentiment is a quote by Marilyn Monroe.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
**Inspiration Destination  91 - Anything Goes
**Crafty Creations 318 - Anything Goes
**Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge 283 - Anything Goes
**Chocolate, Coffee & Cards 112 - Girls of Summer

Some Ugly Bird Fun!

What can I say??? I just love those little
UGLY BIRDS by Tim Holtz! So, here is my Birdie!!
Even though the paper has an almost pale pink
to it, it IS white. lol. I die cut my bird and used
Copic markers to make him a cutesy Blue bird of
summer. I used some mounting tape to pop him up.
One great "hello" die cut, an embossed background
piece of white and that's it!

I entered this in the following challenges:
**Addicted to CAS 91 - Fly
**Addicted to Stamps 129 - Anything Summer
**Stamplorations CAS June - Blue
**Word Art Wednesday 236-237- Anything Goes
