She's 3!

I can't believe it still, and she turned 3 at the end of last month.
And she acts much older too!  It's crazy really.

This year we had a couple birthdays that were kinda difficult because they came right after my surgery and we weren't able to do much.  But we still had cake and presents.  And at 3, I suppose that's all that matters, right?  :)

I created this layout using the Kissing Booth collection from BasicGrey:

The hearts are just hand cut.  I started with some older stamps from the Little Black Dress collection, but the rest of the product come from the Kissing Booth line.

Here are some close up's:

So over at 2 Peas right now, I am paying attention to this thread (on what blog readers do NOT like) and this thread (on what blog readers DO like).  I thought I would pass those along for other bloggers, but I am curious to know your thoughts too.  I do believe my word verification is off.  Or at least it should be.  Someone want to comment and let me know for sure?  (ETA: ugghh!  I don't know why word verification is still on.  I've turned it off a few times.  It's like Blogger takes over and says "that's not a good idea...she doesn't mean it" and changes it back!)

And are there any kind of posts or anything you would like to see more of my blog?  I really want to know!  Is there something about my blog that just bugs the heck out of you?  ;)  I guess I am taking the time to reflect on it and would love some feedback on how I am doing.

And I hope to have a giveaway up for tomorrow. ;)  (Although, I admit, now I am questioning whether that is in fact a good thing...I thought readers LIKED giveaways, but it sounds like some don't...thoughts?)

Thanks so much for stopping in today and for your comments!!!
Have a wonderful day!  :)

Celebrations! :)

We are coming up on a busy time of birthdays in our family, and I was reminded of a layout I haven't shared with you yet.  I made it for the special issue from Creating Keepsakes called Scrapbooking Holidays & Celebrations.

This layout uses all Fancy Pants goodies.  I took a 6x6 pad of It's The Little Things paper and just fanned them out behind my photos.  :)  I still really love that collection.

Here are some close up's:

I do have more CK layouts to share soon too.  :)

And Fancy Pants has even more new releases going up on the blog today, so make sure you stop by!!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Getting Fancy :)

I have lots to share with you using the FABULOUS products from Fancy Pants Designs. Plus I just got a box full of their NEW "Baby Mine" line...so look for that soon. :) Ok...let's get on with it, there's a bunch.

This first layout uses the "Beach Bum" line from Fancy Pants:

Design Notes:
* These pictures were taken with my phone so the quality isn't super high, but I still used them anyway. :)
* This line of paper is a beach themed line, but because of the colors it worked perfectly for these photos too!
* I didn't have enough journaling to go all around my elements, so I journaled around half of it and then stitched around the rest of it.

Seriously...isn't this line of papers just perfect for these photos! :) Here are some close up's:

This next layout uses Fancy Pants Designs' "Beach Babe" collection.

Design Notes:
* The wedding was in Jamaica, thus the palm trees and tropical design.
* I printed all the photos on one 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper, then I cut it down.
* Because of the humidity in Jamaica, some of my pictures didn't turn out well...they were blurry because the lense was foggy. So I edited them and made them look a little more stylish and it looked like the pics were supposed to be that way (like the kissing photo).

Here are some close up's:

AND I had one more layout I was planning on sharing with you today that uses the "It's The Little Things" collection, BUT it got picked up by a publication, so you will just have to wait. ;)

And then this next layout was on the Fancy Pants blog last month. You can see the post here.

Design Notes:
* The perfect way to adhere those glitter cut acrylic pieces is with Helmar's V2 Vellum Spray Adhesive. But other ways to adhere them would be with stitches or covering part of them up with another element on your page and adhering under that.
* Using staples on a bow makes it appear more boyish. :)

The post was featuring Glitter Cuts....LOVE these. :) My layout uses the "To The Moon" collection. Here's the close up's:

And Monday on the Fancy Pants Blog, you could find a tutorial and layout that I did. I hope you check it out!!! Here's a sneak of my layout:

Check out that post here! It's a really cool tutorial if I do say so myself. :)

And finally...I have another sneak for you! I have a layout up on the Fancy Pants blog today! Here's a sneak of that one.

You won't want to miss the post, it shows you several fun things to do with trims. :) Check it out here!

Ok, there will be more Fancy Pants projects soon, but in the meantime...
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi all! Where is everyone? Keeping busy with summer? I am still waiting on two winners to contact me, "BlessedInTexas" and "Marlies"...if that is you shoot me your address (pamelacy@msn.com). :) Well, it's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Scrap and Stamp. The challenge this week is very easy to play along with so I really hope you do! The challenge is to make a scrapbook layout that uses red and includes stamping. Here is the layout I made for the challenge:

I used my stash of My Little Shoebox papers, from a variety of different lines. :) The stamps are all from Unity Stamp Company. Here are some close up's:

I really do hope you play along!!!

Have a fantastic Saturday!

SSCC #15 and Birthday Blog Hop

Let me start by saying a hugh HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lisa!!!!!

Lisa is one of our fearless leaders over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. :) And her work is always beautiful!

Instead of just posting our challenge cards today we thought we would also make it a birthday blog hop! So start at the SSCC blog. :)

The challenge was to make a card or project with gifts on it. Here's the card I made:

The stamps are from Stampin' Up! and the patterned paper is from My Little Shoebox. The cardstock is Bazzill and the gems are from Zva Creative.

And since we are partying for Lisa's birthday...here is what I am bringing to the party...tickets to Europe!

Ok...no that picture of Charlie with the golden ticket has nothing to do with Europe...but doesn't it make you sing..."I've got a golden ticket..." No, Europe is Lisa's dream vacation, so let's all play along...we can all go right. :)

Ok, now why don't you continue the party by hopping on to the fabulous Peggysue. :)

2 Page Madness

Ok...after working on the look of my blog all morning (why do these kind of things take me so long???) I think I am finally ok with it.  What do you think?

Well I did want to post something today too.  :)  It seems magazines, manufacturer's, and challenge sites are big into 2 page layouts again.  While I will always be a one-page kind of gal, I am making more off an effort to do a two pager every now and then.  So here is one for you...

And some close up's...

Thanks for looking!  :)  I sure appreciate all of you coming by and I love it when you leave comments...seriously, thank you!  Have a great Wednesday!
