Calling All Angels

Let's face it, cancer sucks. Many of you know how much Relay for Life means to me. It started in 2006, when my best friend of 23 years passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. I was privileged to take care of her the last three months of her life.

Last year, we lost a beloved team member, Jean Wilson. From lung cancer diagnosis to heaven, we only had her 11 short weeks. This past winter, another team mate, Sue, was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently recovering at home from a double mastectomy. Cancer is an equal-opportunity evil and it really does suck.

I NEED YOUR HELP. If every one of you who receives this email donated $1 to my fundraising, I would be turning in more than $22,000. Yes, there are more than 22,000 of you who enjoy the free resources PageMaps brings you every year. While that is a lofty goal, I will be so happy if I reach my personal goal of $3,000 this year. The 2015 Angel of Hope is so beautiful! This is a fundraising effort by my mom and teammate, Susan Herrick. May of you own Angels of Hope from 2012-2014, and we hope you will add this year to your collection. These angels are available in 16 different colors that represent all of the cancers, along with a new 17th color this year for caregivers. The 2015 Angels of Hope are here!

For the 4th year in a row, my mom (Susan Herrick) is making these beautiful Angels of Hope as part of her fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. This is the 2015 edition and I think they are so pretty! Many of you already have the 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions.

Each angel is handmade from polymer clay and glass glitter, then studded with sparkling Swarovski crystals. A cancer ribbon charm hangs off each one. The angels come in 17 colors that represent all of the main cancers (see list at right). A new color this year, PLUM, has been added for caregivers.
