Baking a Cake!!

Morning Folks!!

I'm here to share my second card as a guest DT member over at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge - and yes, I am still wearing a BIG smile om my face!!

This time the challenge is:

FLOWER POWER OR FLOUR POWER  if you dare!!

As you can see I did dare and used this cute decoupage to make my card:

Have to say that little tail was tricky to cut out!!

I teamed the baking mice up with some fabric flowers that I have been hoarding forever and a mixture of old and new papers - yes I succumbed and treated myself to the First Edition Spring drop pad - my excuse I think the diagonal pattern looks good with the little baking team. The other papers are from my stash, one unknown and some dovecraft!! The sentiment is from a mulberry wood stamp set - cute font!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Polkadoodles - Spring colours
Oldie but a Goodie - Inspired by a song - Stir it up by Bob Marley (old flowers and decoupage)
Papertake Weekly - The Sound of Music - Stir it up by Bob Marley
Crafts 4 Eternity - Sweet tooth

Thanks for looking today and for any comments you leave - I love to hear from you and don't forget to check out the gorgeous cards made by the design team over at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge and the great prizes on offer for this challenge!!

Pink Butterfly gift box!

I'm late, I'm late, Oh how embarassing I'm late posting my project for my second guest DT spot over at
I'm sooo sorry girls!
Anyway, I don't know about you but I'm all Christmassed out! I've only got one last family card to put the finishing touches on and I'm done - thank heavens! The girls over at Creative Craft Challenges have a nice 'Anything goes' challenge and so I decided to ditch the snowflakes in favour of something pink and girly for my friends birthday next month - a little gift box to hold a piece of jewellery! Here it is:

The idea for this little box came from a packet of ready cut gift boxes from Poundland. There are several different box types flat packed in the packet and so I just used them as cardboard templates! A bit fiddly to cut out but great fun to decorate!! I have used a fairly stiff paper from the Henbury Lane collection and some glitter card by DCWV.

The little tag is a nesties label attatched with ribbon and the butterflys are a Dovecraft punch.

The roses have been wired to the top handles and glammed up a bit with a hint of stickles!!

Thanks for looking and I do hope your festive preparations are going OK!
Don't forget to visit Creative Craft Challenges - there are TWO great prizes on offer!!

As usual I can't resist entering a few challenges:
Paperplay - Anything but a card
Allsorts - Anything goes
CES Challenges - Anything goes
Die Cut Dreams - how girly can you get?
&
Papertake weekly - Anything goes

We have a colour challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. this week, here's the colour palette we'd like you to use:

We also have a new sponsor - Sam Doodles (click on the piccy to visit them):

So without further ado, here's my card:

I've had this LOTV stamp in my stash for a couple of months but this is the first time she has been inked up and coloured - shameful I know!

As usual, I have used promarkers for colouring in the image and also a little yellow stickles to add a bit of twinkle to the candles. The papers are a combination of Henbury Lane, Forever friends Pink Parfait and Dovecraft Back to Basics. The lacey edges were made using a Martha Stewart punch and the flowers & little metal flower charm are from my stash.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to get busy entering the C.R.A.F.T. challenge, the Dt love to come & visit your blogs!!

I'd also like to enter my card into some challenges:

Baby Elephant card!!

Hi Folks!! I'm back to the land of blogging after going AWOL for a while after Easter!! I managed to clear a small space on my desk today and get some crafting done, think I must be the worlds most disorganised crafter - or is it because I am untidy?? Perhaps best not to answer that one!!!
Anyways, here is the result of this afternoons efforts, a cute baby elephant card which might become a 'New baby card' - a family friend is due very soon or if the new baby isn't 'pink' as my nephew would say, I thought it would make a nice kids card!!
The inspiration for this card came from the Sketchy Colors challenge, this week the colours are pink, grey & white and as soon as I read them I thought of my new elephant digi stamp! This cutie is from Squigglefly and it is drawn by Crissy Armstrong who has just started a new challenge blog called Sundays with Crissy. The first challenge is 'To make it a combo' so in my usual fashion I decided to combine this card into multiple challenges!! I used the fab sketch over at Sketch & Stash along with my new digi stamp and a sheet of 12" x 12" paper by American Crafts which has been in my stash since forever (not even sure why I bought it originally!!) . Rather appropriately I think my little elephant fits nicely with the challenge recipe over at The Pink Elephant this week, which is to use 1 image, 2 dies (scalloped and plain circle nesties) and 3 favourite embellishments (layered up flowers). Allsorts this week are looking for petals and pearls and My Time to Craft also have pearls as a challenge. Crafty Angels challenge is 'My favourite things' which could be interpreted in 2 ways for this card - I love elephants (you might have guessed) and I also love flowers on my cards! Then last, but by no means least, Papertake weekly challenge is 'Cutie Pie' which I think this little Ellie definately is!!
I think that 8 should qualify as a 'combo' of challenges LOL, thanks for looking!!!
