Little Boy Blue ..

Evening Folks!
I'm running very late today, have been in the garden since this morning trying to tame the jungle and completely forgot about my post for Here Come the Boys.. oops very red face!!

This time we'd like to see your

LITTLE BOY BLUE CARDS

i.e. cards for little boys with a monochromatic blue theme - you can use skin and hair tones but the papers and the remainder of the card must stick to the blue theme.
Here's my card using a sadly neglected LOTV image, coloured with promarkers. The papers are a recent bargain purchase from the local garden centre (!) and I think they are papermania . The sentiment and card candi are from Craftwork Cards.

Here's a closer look

I hope you can join us at Here Come the Boys this fortnight, please check out the rest of the design team inspiration on the main blog and we also have this fab prize of a bag of charms on offer:

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:
Natalie & Amy's Challenge - Monochromatic
Creative Craft World - Blues +/or Browns
2 Sisters Challenge - Blue +/or Green
Totally Papercrafts - Monochromatic
Crafty catz - One for the boys

Monotone mouse!

Good Grief! It's Thursday already, where is this half term going to?? Still Thursday means it's time for another challenge over at C.R.A.F.T.!! This weeks theme is :

MONOTONE
We are being sponsored this week by Robin's Fetish who are offering a fab prize of either 5 digis or 4 digis plus a paper to our winner. Click on the piccy below to see the fab range of digis!
I have used 'Happy Harry' and some papers from the Coney Island Summer collection to make a joy fold card. I love these, especially for male cards as they are interesting without being fussy!

I had to really hunt through my stash to find a suitable closure....note to self think about these things before starting card!! - but I think this Dress it up button is very appropriate!

The inside of the card is stamped with a sentiment from a recent purchase, the Inkadinkado Friendly advice set.

I'd also like to enter Harry into the following challenges:

Whoopsi Daisy - let's paper piece (I've paper pieced his shirt and trousers)

Cards for men - Anything goes (as long as it's male)

Creative card Crew - Punch it (used nesties)

Fab N Funky - Keeping it clean and simple

Paper Pretties - Being square

Thanks for looking !!

Birthday Hound!!

This is the first card I have made in ages, there is nothing like having a stinking cold and the builders in, to make your mojo go walkabout !! I think you are probably OK and not likely to catch my germs!! I needed to make some more 'masculine' cards for family birthdays coming up, and after having a good old rake through my stash, I came up with a very different colour scheme for me, I don't normally use a lot of black but I have to say I like the contrast between the black and bright colours on this one. The stamp is 'Birthday dog' by Penny Black, coloured with promarkers. Paper is by Trimcraft (I think??) and the brad is from a pack of 'Paper treats' by Around the Block which I bought many moons ago... added a touch of sparkle to the candles with some stickles. I think I might send this card to my nephew who is 'almost' a teenager soon!

I'm also going to enter it into some challenges too:
The sketch is from 'Friday Sketchers' #93 which was fun to work with.
'Craftycatz' challenge #23 which is something for the boys
Cards for Men challenge #6 which is Happy Birthday
and also Cute Card Thursday challenge #103 which is celebrations.
Thanks for taking the time to look, I'm off to find my duvet soon!!!
