20L Zipper Pack
For various reasons I haven't posted much over the last year or so but I've been keeping myself busy either wandering around the hills or working on make your own gear projects. It was just over a year ago I posted about my first attempt at a making a pack and I've been making a lot of packs recently but haven't really posted much about them online, other than the odd photo on a couple of forums. I recently finished this 20L zipper style pack so I thought I'd make a start at catching up with a few posts about what I've been up to.

MYOG Dyneema X Backpack
Not exactly pushing the boundaries of lightweight pack design but I've always wanted to make my own backpack so here it is, attempt number 1.

MYOG Cuben Fiber Shelter
Given I already own the finest cuben fiber shelter ever made ;-) I guess the biggest question might be 'why?', but I've always wanted to have a go at a MYOG shaped tarp/mid type shelter so here goes...

SoloMid Door Mod
I really like the SoloMid, pitched nice and tight it's proved itself in a stiff breeze and I've found it large enough if I keep myself organised. One thing I've felt it's missing though is a tieback for the panel to the left of the door, so I decided to add my own...

MYOG Cuben Hybrid Pack Lid
I recently made a pack lid using Hybrid Cuben Fiber, it's the first time I've used the fabric for a MYOG project and I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out so I thought I'd share a few photo's of the finished item.

MYOG Lantern
A while ago I decided I'd like a lantern to use in the tent/hammock/shelter etc, just something to read by and to provide a little bit of softish light for around camp or in the tent on an evening.

MYOG Bathtub Floor
After a couple of lessons with the sewing machine I've recently started making my own gear and have really been enjoying it. I've only made a handful of things to date, a few stuff sacks, some lanterns, a tarp, but I'm always on the look out for a new project.
Once I'd ordered my Trailstar I started to think about additional gear I may need to go with it, I've got a Polycryo groundsheet to use but liked the idea of having a bathtub style floor to use as an alternative, plus I figured it could also be used under a tarp or maybe even inside my Laser Comp if I ever wanted to use it without the inner.
After having a look online I decided I'd have a go at making my own, all the necessary bits and bobs were gathered and sat on my desk for a while waiting to be used. Recently I finally got on with things and here is the end result.
