To the world you may only be one person, but to one person you may be the world. Birth families really mean the world to us. The trials you are going through are ones few can truly understand. We pray that you will feel comfort and peace through your journey. We admire you for your strength, courage, and selflessness. Thank you for taking time to learn more about our family. We are DJ and Alex and are here to tell you a little about how cool we are and maybe a little about mommy and daddy. We are a very happy, fun-loving, and playful family. Spending time together and being active is something we cherish. Some of our favorite times together are hiking, playing sports, painting, singing, and cuddling. We are trying to teach mommy and daddy our amazing dance moves, but they just don’t get it, we will keep trying! Our parents keep us active and learning new things, we have enjoyed our swimming, skiing, and T Ball lessons and are excited for new things to come.
Adoption brought us together as brothers and we became best friends the moment we met. We are so thankful that mommy and daddy love open adoption because it means we get to see, call, and visit our birth families. Having so many people to love on us is never a bad thing. Another bonus is that we get to do extra art activities so we can send them to our birth parents. There is one drawback though, it seems like we have paparazzi around us all of the time because mommy is always taking pictures to send to our birth families, but we are used to it now. We are excited to have a baby and a new birth family join our family. We don’t want to be too conceited but we can’t lie, we are definitely going to be the best big brothers in the world.
Sorry about our boys getting a hold of this letter. Actually after reading what they wrote, I guess we can’t be that sorry because it is all true. Since we have adopted our family has grown, not only with the amazing children that we have been blessed with, but the remarkable birth families too. We are eager and excited for another little one to join our family, along with their birth family.
