Galanthus nivalis (Snowdrops)
Like I said yesterday, it's time for spring. The first floral harbingers for us are the Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) which are naturalized in several places around the yard. The first picture was taken today, the second last year.

Spring can't be too far away!
The early spring flowers are coming on with gusto now: snowdrops, crocus, daffodils, forsythia and camellias.
And in the greenhouses, the aloes continue to bloom and some of the cacti are showing their buds.
And so it goes. Another cycle comes around and it's just as wonderful as the last. I may be 71 but I'll never get tired of it. There's plenty I do get tired of - wars, intolerance, fear and hatred, to name a few - but the breaking forth of the seasons' beauty - never!

Spring is on it's way!
Proof positive: Spring is coming! The "Snowdrops" are popping up everywhere. Not long before the tulips bloom. We feel for those of you in the mid-Atlantic area of the country who got as much as 3 feet of snow yesterday; but we unabashedly celebrate the really great weather we've been blessed with. Time to start planting those tomato seeds so we can set them out at the right time.
