Gotam Dai in Doha

Have I mentioned how much I miss Nepal? Not just a little, but to the point of my heart aching every time I think about it. I dream of driving on the back of Axel's motorbike and eating at Red Dingo. I wish I could watch my kids play outside, on the green, green grass, right after a long rainfall. I miss it, I miss it so, so, so much.

We received word that our handsome guard, Gotam, was moving to Doha the day before he arrived! Not only that but he is also living across the street from our home! What are the chances? Lucky for us, the company he works for gave him two days off before he began working full time. We fed him Nepali food (thanks to Sarita), chatted with him, and let him watch Bollywood movie till his eyeballs fell out. The kids were excited to see him and I was thankful to have a little piece of Nepal back in my home.

That is so cool! I'm sorry you miss Nepal so much. The lack of green, or any color for that matter, is one of the hardest things about Doha.
