I need air, but , the special one please

I have not even started thinking about my new year resolutions…
All I know is that I do wishes in my heart for some peace.
Peace in my heart, peace at my home, peace to my family and for our
Country’s future peace at the middle-east.

And, as for myself… I have many things to think of – the past few months were crazy
With all kinds of changes. Very major changes in my life and I have to get into some conclusions.

This just got out of the kiln, and fits well the current condition, that I am just waiting for some air.
Just want to rest from time to time, to stay relax without all these worries…. Oh well, I don’t want it to be a gloomy blog today, I want to say that among all that is happening, the love around me does gives me a great comfort.
Stay safe!!

Hot out of the kiln

This one is still hot from the kiln. I saw this picture at one of my google searches and I imidiatly fell in love with it. I found the artist Kate Doodles blog and this picture was great muse! Just about 20 minutes after seeing it I was at my studio playing with mud making this sweet deer cupcake.

Calabash

Weekend is finally here!!!
Not that I am actually gonna get the chance to have some rest, but I know I will have a great quality time with my friend, and I know I will see people that I love which will comfort me.
Today I am going for a ‘Girls day at the CLAY Spa’ which should be great break from life for couple of hours of relaxation.

I am feeling much better but have not got the chance yet to get into the studio today…hopefully I will do so tomorrow because I do want to get some things done before the holidays are here.

This is ‘Calabash’ pumpkin look alike sculpture that I made for my friend. In the Feng Shui it is known (because of its shape) for its healing qualities and getting bad energies away from us into it.
Have a great weekend

Bird

I took a break from my day job, I really had enough of it. I hope that I am back to my art way of life. Being out of it was very hard for me. Too much reality is not healthy I guess for anyone, collapsed economy, major terror attacks, working 24/7…..brrrrrrrrr.....I think it is back to studio time!!!!! Wish me luck on this time:)

This is something that I am not used to making – but I really needed an emotional break and I made this one, I don't have a good picture of it, still I hope you'll enjoy it

Something for Christmas

Since I have moved back to Israel , and even though I am not Christian, I do miss Christmas. This beautiful holiday, and how everything around looks so fancy and the feeling of the holiday atmosphere and spirit in it… so I have decided to make something small to my friends that do celebrate this wonderful holiday.

Golden apples Christmas ornaments. Made with love with white clay, clear glaze and of course 12k gold laster to add some richness to it.
Hope they’ll love it!!

Fish

Beside my old and loved apples obsession, I have find myself keeping busy with fish sculpting and looking for different symbolic terms of it.
From what I have seen, most of the symbolic meanings are related to its natural being in the water, and yes water holds many mystery in, what’s makes it even more challenging to me. Making fish with rusty earthy material such as “mud” :)

Some of the symbolic meanings of Fish are (and for the most at the eastern parts of the world): fertility (which I like!),eternity(I don’t know about that – they don’t live that long, but they are here for a very loooooooooooooooooooong time…:-P), creativity (Yay!!!), femininity (!),good luck (is always welcome),happiness (same here), knowledge and transformation (I’d like to try that!)
Well, anyway with all these symbols in my head this what came out of my hands
