I got a bit sucked up in an unreliable corner of the twitterverse. With a nudge, I realized and pulled myself out. Feeling a bit better now. I much prefer real work to false hope. Neither salvation nor doom survive the specific expiration date. My skepticism held, just stretched a bit.
The garden helps. Just keeps growing.
Got asked for ID to get beer. Could have been due to the blue/purple hair. I know my face does not look younger than 30, but I would never question a cashier. Pull out my ID, say I never get asked, amused, no argument.
One day, in the hopefully not too distant future, I will be writing here a LOT. Right now, too much in the middle, can't work through any of it yet. So, I'll keep the garden records, leave a hint, get back when I can.

Nature is my salvation, and your purplish-black irises juxtaposed against the brilliant orange poppies have lifted my spirits...not to mention the electric blue hair! I must not have left the dye on mine long enough; will try again.
Crow,
Yeah, I leave mine in at least an hour, more like two. I use the shower cap while I wait. Rinse only with cool water. I took a long hot soak bath once, and it completely cleared all the color away. That pot will last you quite a few attempts, though.
Last time I was carded, in a serious vein (now some places have to card everyone, walker and O2 aside) was in 1976, and the clerk looked at my ID and said "Oh, sorry..." taking my money....
the photo of the irises directly under the poppies confused me - i thought it was a group of black cats looking off into the distance, ears perked up.
i know how easy it is to get sucked into the vortex of false hope. just as easy, i suppose, as the vortex of hopelessness. perhaps life is the balancing act between the two.
surely something will break soon. it simply cannot go on like this, can it? (don't answer that).
hang in there, the hair looks gorgeous.
I like the time lapse of the black irises. I'm watching my hollyhock bud like crazy. It's the good kind of anticipation waiting for them to open.
The way your hair matches and contrasts with your poppy and iris is brilliant!
Never mind about electric blue hair , you've obviously got green thumbs
Wow! Cool mop, gal!
Should,
I really don't get it, but I showed her my license, and went off shaking my head.
pc,
It may not be the fireworks and screams that would be so satisfying, but yes. It all seems to be crumbling.
Nimble,
I thought about doing a time lapse, but it's not a safe place to put a camera. Would have been very cool, though.
Sabine,
The comforts of bright colors.
S&S,
Got it from the grandmother I didn't much know, but she apparently could shove a stick in the ground and it would grow. I've inherited some of this, it seems. Never knew before having my own garden.
Cat,
Gracias.
