Finally got around to shopping, fresh produce and fridge replenishment. Clementines and avocados, pears and our own chilies. Quite a relief.
Amazed that one plant has produced so many little peppers, and there are more flowers on it. I'm hoping I can wrap it up, and it may survive the winter.
Moby usually very enthusiastic about fresh wheatgrass. Today, ho hum. Wondering if he's feeling a bit off, sleeping more than usual. Maybe, hard to tell with cats.

I did some cooking with my own (green) chilies yesterday - I'm not used to doing such things so I was quite surprised (needlessly) that they tasted fine.
Fridge replenishment. Indeed.
That wheatgrass sure looks tasty.
I do like buying fresh stuff, getting home and unpacking it. Are those chillies VERY hot?
A friend, when she first married, decided to make her beloved a chilli con carne. She had not used chillies before and misread the recipe....she used a pound of them. They had one forkful of the CcC and blistered mouths for a month.
Dear Moby, please eat grass, it will perk you up.
These chilis are pretty hot, one crumpled in D's chili makes a difference. Cayenne is not jalepeno, or Dutch Bonnet, but it does have heat.
Phil,
I've never tasted it, but it smells nice.
h,
Oh, my. A friend of ours set out a vegetable plate of peppers. D had one. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to anyone, it was a Habenero. D ate a half loaf of bread, half gallon of milk, and still felt like he was going to die. To this day he tells the story of when R tried to kill him.
I love the art of the first photo, Z - the orange and blue, the reds and greens. Lovely arrangement, whether intentional or accidental. I am drawn to it.
Crow,
I shall have to say thank you, because it was arranged. Thank you.
Lovely light filled pictures, here and on other posts. Growing condiment-type things like chilies, herbs, lemons if one could, is very satisfying I think, because they really give food a lift and you feel like your own produce has made a difference. And the chilies are such a fabulous colour too.
