Empty
My brain is empty. I'm ill and bothered. I invite you to one of my earliest posts, transferred over from the old defunct site. I can't even assess it properly.
I wish I could bring you a cup of tea to help make you feel better. As a fellow tea "phile" I can relate and, by the way, if you can splurge on leaves once in a while, try the teas from In Pursuit of Tea, especially the Red Fujian! You can look them up online: http://www.inpursuitoftea.com/
Yes! Beautifully written as usual, Zhoen. Here in Aotearoa/New Zealand, the obsession with coffee (and the accompanying snobbery) has meant it's almost impossible to get a decent cup of tea unless you make it yourself (I do. Properly.) Order tea in a cafe and you'll get a steel pot of warm water with a teabag or two leaking into it. Teabags. Hmmph! Inventions of the devil. Fortunately, things might be getting better. We now have a specialist tea shop, so I hope the influence will spread. Good luck with refilling your brain.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, zhoen. Hope that passes quickly.
CBS Sunday Morning did a feature yesterday about the Pompeii exhibit at the Field Museum of Natural History. Have you been to see it? Sunday is the last day. It looks pretty awesome.
I'll stay with how you are, for the moment: rest easy. Down time is good time, even if it feels lousy. NB: if you're having a migraine, please note that "good" is a highly qualified, subjective term.
[[Zhoen]] Such mixed feelings. So sorry you are ill but so delighted to read your tea post (well I would be wouldn't I?). Drink lots of it now - and feel better soon.
Sheesh, I could tell ya why my previous comment didn't make any sense, but that would take all the mystique out of it, and why would we want to do that?
I have had much tea, largely Assam available through Indian grocery stores. Upton Tea has been good to me as well.
I really don't mind teabags, as long as they are not the generic flavor big brand name type. Many others are quite drinkable. Makes tea possible at work, or for D to make for me. It's a compromise.
I wanted to go to the Pompeii exhibit, but I don't live in Chicago. I am fascinated by Pompeii and Herculaneum. I'm cool with mysteries.
Feeling better this week. But then I have to work a night shift on Monday. Which will suck. I am so not a night person.

Gute Besserung! Maybe a cup of tea would help?
