My goal for the new year was to blog once a month and be more regular about it! Hmmmm...it did not happen! So it is a long post capturing the past 5 months!
January found us loving our home more and more.
February... well what is there to say except...be careful what you wish for! For my birthday I wanted to lay back in my pajamas and be waited on all day! I got what I asked for just not how. I awoke on my birthday with massive pain and we rushed to urgent care--I was diagnosed with a kidney stone...sent home to rest and drink loads of water! I knew something was wrong when all I craved was water! 3 urgent and e.r rooms and a few weeks later I passed the stone! Those buggers hurt!
March was a long month without too much happening except my oldest turning 16!!!
April was spring break and I took a little road trip and met up with my mom and dad in St. George! Dad and I shopped, watched old westerns and played around with their new electronics. My mom has a tablet and dad got a Nook! We had a blast! Mom was there on business and in classes all day. I went mostly for her awards dinner where she was presented with her Legal Institute award! SO proud of her and her achievements!
May came with my mom and dad heading to Europe! Switzerland and biking through the Alps.A mini trip to Northern Italy and a few weeks home to Norway (Stavanger and Bergen of course)! Of course they told me about all the yummy food they were eating...makes my mouth water! (pictures to come)
May 5th was my girlfriends bridal shower! We went to a day spa! Glen Ivy Hot Springs was pretty cool! I even took a mud bath---it really grossed me out! But it was a blast--we lounged in different pools and ate lunch there! I am so excited for to have her wedding in Hawaii! Congrats Sarah, I am so Happy for you! the picture is Sarah and Laura (the blond is Sarah)
May is also Norway's National Independence day! What a better way to show off your heritage than to put on a National dress made by MY mom (the girls loved it and did not want to take them off)!!
May was really busy for school with state and district testing! On the first day of testing my school went on lock down! The picture is blurry but there are several more police cars out of the frame! It ended up being a drug bust and resiting an arrest! We did the lock down so quietly that my students did not even know and did a great job on their first day of testing!
