Happy Birthday Madelyn!!

Happy Birthday Madelyn!! I can't believe that she is already two. Time is flying by.

We celebrated Madelyn's birthday the weekend before her birthday. Paul had taken Hannah and Jacob camping out on the land. So the morning of her party it was just her and me. I throughly enjoyed it.

After she stopped opening the back door yelling for Hannah and Jacob we played some games, and then I painted her toe nails and did her hair. (She actually left it in for a while!) She wanted her nails painted, so I did the first nail and immediately blew on it to dry it before she touched anything. She said, "hot!" She thought the nail polish was hot because I was blowing on it. I did a couple more nails and then she looked down and said, "Dirty, yucky!" Then tried wiping it off. So only a couple of finger nails got done, because she thought I was getting her messy. =)

We had a fun, quite morning. I just thought about all the reasons I love this little girl so much. Here are just 10....

1. Since the day she was born, she has loved me to snuggle and hold her. She still does. =)
2. One of her first words was thank you. She says thank you and your welcome for everything. Politest little kid I know.
3. She is a great singer. I love to here her sing: "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "The ABCs", "I Love You", "Jesus Once Was A Little Child", "Popcorn Popping", and the theme song to Wonder Pets and Yo Gabba Gabba.
4. I love to watch her dance.
5. She has a great imagination. She likes to pretend to be a dog. When she wants to scare us, she walks around with her arms out straight saying, "I'm a zombie".
6. She has the cutest voice. I love how she calls grandpa and grandma "beepa and beema". When she is stuck she says, "I'm shtuck".
7. Since the day she was born she has looked me straight in the eyes like she is saying something more than she can say.
8. She loves playing with Jacob and Hannah.
9. She is a good listener, and will do what I ask her to. (unless she doesn't want to. ;) )
10. She loves me, loves me, and shows me she loves me. =)
Once the rest of the family got home they were ready for some cake. (Nothing fancy this year!) Madelyn was very curious about the candles being lit.
She realized we were singing to her.
We couldn't get her to blow out the candles. This was her reaction after Paul and Jacob blew out the candles for her.
Yummy brownie and ice cream!
She had plenty of little helpers that were very excited to "help" her play with her new presents.
Her favorite present was this doll that drinks, sleeps, makes baby noises, says mamma, and cries. She LOVES dolls. They are her favorite toy. So I got her one that actually did a few cool things.
She is off on her two year old adventures!
