There are certain things in this world that just invoke the feelings of Christmas. And little children wrapped in towels and sheets is one of those things! Jill's ward had a Christmas party on Friday where we were asked to come in costume. McKayla, Beckham and Liam were super excited about that!
Instead of just saying cheese, they said Camel Cheese! :) |
Liam looks as though he would have fit in perfectly!
And Beckham really wanted to be a camel instead of a little boy! :)
This is what we saw when we arrived at the church -
Liam was a riot to watch at the party. He really took to the environment and loved all the foods that were available.
Feed me some grapes and treat me like the king that I am! |
Each family was given a bag of coins to use at the various booths around the gym. We could buy food, games and jewelry.
Even Senya got some tasty food at the party!
We sang Christmas songs, they played a movie about the birth of the Savior and everyone was sent home with a little ornament to place on their tree. It was such a nice evening and it made it feel a little more like Christmas.
And if that wasn't enough, Jill and I were able to attend The Nutcracker tonight with my Grandma Marj and her friend Curt.
When we were younger, we attended this ballet a few times with some of the women in our family. I have good memories of watching The Nutcracker and I love the music. When the ballet started this evening, it made me feel so happy. It was beautifully done and the dancing was fantastic. Curt even gave Jill and I little nutcracker ornaments to remind us of the ballet - that was so sweet of him!
So, it is beginning to feel like Christmas around here and I can't wait to take that feeling home to Norway with me, package it up and share it with my parents in Russia!
