跨性別婚姻

爭取到台灣內政部不因「跨性別」而取消婚姻登記的吳伊婷向BBC中文網解釋了此案的過程。
吳伊婷表示，原來生理上都是男性的她們兩人都是在結婚前接受變性手術成為了女性，但是她自己在結婚前就申請更改性別。

此一案中的兩名事主吳伊婷和吳芷儀兩人原先生理上均為男性，後來其中一人經過手術變性為女性，兩人結婚。
婚後，另一人也經由手術變性為女性，但是台灣的內政部通知她們，撤銷婚姻登記

台灣的內政部經過專案會議討論，決定承認一起跨性別婚姻有效，收回原先予以撤銷的決定。
