Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, thank you :)

I'm back to share with you the latest Spy Day Challenge
at The Greeting Farm Challenge Blog today!!!

Here's my take on it...

I just had to use my newest stamp set from The Greeting Farm's last release,
"Sitting Casual"
Isn't Ian the handsomest boy ever???
I paper pieced his couch and was inspired by Sugar's layout and use of polka dots :)

Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT for more inspiration!

See you later on with my third and final post for today!

Hello?! Isn't he the CUTEST!!!
I paper pieced Riley with some Kraft Cardstock - that's what happens when you make a boo-boo on the card, great way to cover things up ;)

Next, I have "Water Bottle Riley"...

Poor little moose is sicky :(
Look at his red nose and comfy pajamas...
Don't ya just wanna give him a big ol' hug to make him feel better???

Lots of peeks going on at the Moosemate's blogs too!

Sweet Little Light...

Hiiiii!!! and welcome to day two of

I'm still running a bit behind along with a stuffy cold,
so please bare with me while I squeeze out another quickie post :)

For today, we are sneak peeking Karber's latest clear stamp set called,
This set comes with 5 images and 3 sentiments...
and will also be released tomorrow!!!

For my first card, I decided to use the lamp image with the following matching sentiment that just made me smile while I put together this card :)

Doesn't it just warm your heart :)
I used some of my fave Jillibean DP and look! I used brads too!!!

For my next card, I used one of the 'fashionable girlies' and another sweet sentiment...

Isn't she stylin'??? :)
Especially with some more Jillibean paper and twine!
I can't wait to paper-piece her too!!!

Here's a peek at the whole stamp set...

Remember to hop along and comment on the DTs post to enter to win this Karber Stamp Set :)

Love Struck :)

Good afternoon :)
*Please scroll down to see Day 1 of
Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Preview, Nurse Lucy!
Thank you :)

{yaaaawn!!!} Kiddos and I woke up not feeling so great, it seems that we all caught colds at the same time, sigh... it's a cold and rainy day today, so we are camping out on the couch with Disney movies and books - the perfect way to relax...

I have another quick post to share!!!

Today is Pixie Dust Studio's latest release -
"Love Struck

and

there is another Pixie Challenge up too!
"Put Your Heart Into It!"
Make a card/project using hearts...
in the image, on the patterned paper, or even a heart shaped embellishment.
The possibilities are endless!

For my first card, I used... "Catching Your Heart"

This little guy most definitely captured my heart :)
Isn't he cheek-pinching-cute?!
I love the little bumble-y that is on his hat too!!!

For my next card I used... "Heart Garden"

I had a bit of fun with my Copics here!
Love the bumble-y's flying about and she is just beaming with love and joy :)

Here is what the latest collection looks like:

Be sure to visit the Pixies for more peeks at the latest collection :)

Happy Thursday!!! xo

Kraft-y Creeper Sunday on a Friday :)

Good evening!!! Wow, I cannot believe that it is the last Friday of 2011!!!
I kinda took an unintended creative/blog break this week -
I really didn't expect to, lol! but between the holiday mess and my boys, I just had to take some time off from blogging and concentrate on family time and prepare for some fun DT releases for next month :)
I have also started my own book blog :) You all know how much I love to read and usually try to incorporate it into my crafty things, but it's time that I set out to do what I have been wanting to do for so long, I am so happy about it!
Here's my new blog: bumbles and fairy-tales
I hope you'll follow along with me over there too!!! xo

I am a bit late with posting a few things...
First, there is a new challenge up on the Pixie Dust Studio blog...
just add a number to your card/project!!!

Next! It's time for a new Spy Day Challenge at
This week, we are 'case-ing' Shaela's card...

I decided to stick with some red panels, a similar layout and go all boy ;)

I used Creeper Sunday and my new pad of MME Funday Kraft 6x6 pad!
Looooving me some Kraft-y fun-ness right now :)
The button is from Studio Calico (Wood Veneer)
and some twine yummness from The Twinery!!!

Just a quick and simple card - felt so good to create something again!!!

Be sure to take a peek at the DT's stuffs too!!!

I will be back tomorrow :)
Have a wonderful TGIF!!!

"Open Me!!!" AND MY BLOG CANDY WINNERS!!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!
I hope that you all are settling down for a wonderful holiday with loved ones :)
We are just about ready for the festivities to begin!!! I still have some cleaning to do and some gifts to wrap - but all is good and we cannot wait to spend some wonderful quality time around the tree :)

I am very late posting my card for the latest Friday Spy Day at
The Greeting Farm Challenge Blog yesterday! oops!
and I also want to share who my two blog candy winners are :)

First, my card :)
I decided to have a bit of fun with my new TE December Key Ingredients Kit
and pair it up with sweet Amelia from my 'new to me' TGF Surprise Stamp Set!

I also used the following challenges for my card:
- iCopic Weekly Challenge #61: Last minute Holiday projects
- Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #38: Anything Goes {with Twine}
- Wee Memories Challenge #80: Anything Goes
- The Sisterhood of Crafters: Celebrate the Holidays

I love her unruly hair! Kinda reminds me of my own hair - thick, wavy, messy! lol!
I tried to stick with the same layout as Beate's card, and a similar color combo - with different shades... and as you can see - I went a bit overboard with my Paper Pen again, hee hee! I am loving this stuff! More and more pearls everywhere!!!
It's not your typical Christmas card (hubs kept telling me to add green, lol!) but I love it! and I know that this little girly-girl will definitely love it too :)

Thanks for looking! and I hope you decide to play along with us this week!
Please be sure to check out the rest of the DTs creations too :)

PS - what do you think of my new blog makeover??? :)

Warm Wishes

Good evening everyone :)
I totally forgot to post my card for today, ooops!

This week's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge is to
use THREE pattern papers!!!

That's suppose to be easy, right?! lol!
The small piece of green paper on top is really part of the pattern paper, it really is!
The scallop and border green is cardstock, okay :)  hee, hee!

This cute little image is called "Smore Candle Treats"...
I honestly don't know what he is, my boys keep going back and forth saying that the Smore-guy is either an Ant or a Cricket - possibly a Snowman of sorts, lol! Oh boy, Kathy is going to whip us ;) hee, hee!!!

I hope everyone is all done with the Holiday stuffs and getting ready to relax and enjoy the Holiday this weekend :)  I have a few last minute things to take care of first thing Friday morning, but nothing to stress about which is always a bonus :)

Have a wonderful night!
I'll be back in the morning with my Spy Day card for The Greeting Farm Challenge!!!
xoxo

Dear Santa... and How I take my Card Pics!

All I want for Christmas is... {fill in the blank!}
I don't know what I want for Christmas, lol!
SO many things, I can't decide :)

*Please scroll down to see my card for
Pixie Dust Studio's latest 'stitching' challenge, thanks!!!

I wanted to share a quick little boy card that I created
with one of Amy's latest Sweet November Stamps called "Max"!!!

I was SO lucky to win this sweet boy and some goodies during Amy's preview days!
Yay!!! for more boy stamps!!!
Isn't he the cutest little mischief you've ever seen?! hee, hee!!!
Wonder if this little Max will be getting coal or toys for Christmas...
I guess it depends were that snowball lands ;)

***

I've had a few comments asking me how I take my card pics :)
I don't really do anything special - as a matter of fact, I really don't think they come out that good, lol! I always feel that they're a bit too dark... this is how I take my pics...

I just move my card and Ott-lite around until I get the right angle with no shadows.
I adjust my setting on my camera;
I have a simple Kodak Touch and I set it on Close-Up and then I zoom in...
I then upload my pics to Picasa - this is where I choose which pics I like best and crop them down.
and then lastly, I use PhotoScape to adjust the lighting/size and add my watermark!
All done!!!

I'm sure that there is probably an easier way to do all the 'photoshopping' stuffs, but this is what I've been doing for the last year, it's a quick and simple enough routine for me - it works :)

Please feel free to share your pic methods with me too!
Thanks!!! and thanks for stopping by today too!!! xo

Side-Stepping in Matilda's Garden

Good morning :)
WoW! I cannot believe that I managed to stay off my blog almost the entire week!
I have discovered that sometimes I need to take an unplanned mini-break from here to get the mojo flowing again! It always feels so good to come back to it and get into the swing again :)

It's another "Spy Day" at The Greeting Farm Challenge Blog today!!!
and this time, Sharette spied Danni's Card on SCS!!!
Danni created a beautiful stair-step card using a orange/green color scheme...

I have to admit, I just could NOT get a stair-step card put together for this challenge, oi! LOL!
I tried using the SCS step-by-step directions and video! Which are by far, excellent resources and very clear - but I just could not grasp the exact cutting measuremenst! eek!
So I decided to be inspired by the color scheme, layout and butterflies that Danni used :)

AND!
I also used the following challenges for my card too!!!
- Touch Twin Marker Color Challenge:
Melon Yellow, Olive Green, Brick Brown, Rose Red
- Ribbon Carousel Challenge #27:
Anything goes! (must have ribbon, twine, etc.)
- Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #178:
Thank You (much have a buttefly, fairy, angel)
Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #134

I also used one of the latest released stamps by The Greeting Farm,

You cannot see it in my picture, but the sides are 2 separate panels!
I tried to recreate the stair step look by using what Danni did as a layout/sketch :)
and I was so lucky to have just enough of these scraps for it too!
Oh, and when I first colored Matilda, I thought her clothes were a bit too mis-matchy, lol!
but with the papers surrounding her, she matches and blends pretty good, right? :)

Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT and see their gorgeous stair-step cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!! Happy TGIF!!!
I will be packing up a few things for a scrappy night with the girls :)
Yippeee!!!

On the 6th Day of HALLOWEEN!!!

On the SIXTH day of HALLOWEEN...
my true love gave to me
SIX GOBLINS GOBBLING!!!
Five scary spooks!
Four skeletons,
Three black cats,
Two trick-or-treaters,
and an owl in a rotten oak tree!!!

'morning friends!!!
It's starting to get spooky around here!
Have you all seen what's been going on at

I am super excited to have been invited to play along with their 12 Days of Halloween this year!!!
Be sure to stop by the Simple Betty Stamps Blog for more details!!!...
Everyone their, especially Betty, just loooves Halloween!
and there are prizes every day!
Take a peek and play along :)

For my "goblin", I decided to use "Franken Jude"...
I have to admit, I had a hard time picking a "goblin" for this, lol!
Cindy aka The Scrappy Chick helped me out with choosing my goblin
and sent me this from Wikipedia...
"A goblin is a legendary evil or mischievous illiterate creature,
described as a grotesquely evil-like phantom."
hmmm...
We decided that a 'Frankenstein-ish' guy would fit this description...
even though Jude is definitely waaay too cute to be considered 'grotesquely', LOL!

My SIX things are the buttons!!!
This idea has been brewing in my head for quite a while now!
and I am so happy to finally be able to use it on this card today :)
I am LOVING my twine!!! hee hee
I colored Jude in with my Copics, used some Bella Blvd 'To cute To spook" scraps
and the 'boo' sentiment is a Making Memories sticker from 2 years ago, lol!

It's time to dig out some goblins and get your spook on!!!
You have until October 31st to play along :)

Simply Betty Stamps

Thanks for stopping by today!!!
Happy Weekend to you all :*)

D is for Dinosaur!!!

Happy Saturday!!!
Hopefully, as this post goes live in the early morning hours, my boys and I will be snoozing and sleeping in ;) hee, hee! and then we're off for dental checkups and a Fall Festival at their school (if it stops raining!!!)  Fun!!!

There is a special collaborated challenge going on today!!!
The Greeting Farm - Farm Fresh Challenge DT
is teaming up with
Bugaboo Digi Stamps
Catch The Bug Challenge!!!

This week's "Catch the Bug Challenge" is to use an animal on your card/project!
You can use a Bugaboo animal image,
or incorporate animal(s) into your papers, embellies, etc!
Maybe even sneak in a TGF stamp/digi with your Bugaboo ;) hee hee!!!

I decided to use Bugaboo's "Dinos Sit" Digital Image
and came up with this trio of cards :)

First, well actually, this was the second card that I created :)
I decided to use a little digi mistake that I made
when I printed out this Dino a bit too small and on the wrong cardstock, lol!
I knew that I couldn't let him go to waste!
and so I came up with this card using TGF's Oliver from the Happy Day Stamp Set....

For my 2nd card, which is actually the first card that I made ;)
I printed him out and used my Copics to color him up...
I also cut into my 3 Bug in a Rug "Dawson" DP for these cards -
if you love dinosaurs as much as we do, this is definitely a must have set!!!

As you can see, I am still having a TON of fun with my twine from The Twinery!!!
I just looove how well it goes with everything! Especially BOY cards ;)
For this last card, the mistake that I originally made
spurred this idea to print directly onto the cardstock, in a bigger size :)
No coloring ;) It's an awesome way to create a quickie! hee hee!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Be sure to leave me a comment, even if it's just to say HI :)
Would love to know who's been visiting, lurking, etc! hee hee!

Be sure to visit the Bugaboo DT and TGF Farm Fresh DT too!
Happy Weekend everyone! xoxo

Smiley :)

Wooo hooo!!! It's finally TGIF!!!
What should have been a short week for us, because we had Monday off from school, turned out to be the most dragged out, longest week ever in existence, lol! We are all super tired and cranky and in much need to some weekend fun! Unfortunately, kiddos have to start their weekend tomorrow to a check up at the dentist first, lol! Then we're off for a Fall Festival at school and other fun stuff :)  Can't wait!

There is another Farm Fresh Friday - Spy Day Challenge
And for this week, we are casing Rachel's card that you can see HERE!

I decided that I really neeeded to use myyy "Edward" stamp!!!
Yes, MYYY Edward ;) hee hee!!!

I lightly colored Edward with my Copic markers and used my Colorless Blender to lighten and blend my coloring to give him a 'washed-out' kind of look... I used scraps of Crate Paper and some Washi tape that I purchased (and have been hoarding) from TGF Store a looong while ago :)

Please be sure to visit the amazing DT today too!
(Links are all in my sidebar, thanks!)

Sorry to type and run, but I really need to catch up on some sleep, my neglected chores and get some much needed crafty time in between ;)
Have a wonderful TGIF!!!
See you back here in a little while ;) xo

Old stamps, but new to me! Love how that worked out :)

Here's "Sheriff Ian" (retired?) and "Wild West Anya"...

I had a ton of fun paper piecing these two cuties!
(Please click on pics to see more details, thanks!)
