More Barefoot Sandals

I really like barefoot sandals.  Most of my previous barefoot sandals were made with tigertail beading wire and an extender chain so that they could be worn by people with just about any size foot.  The reason for this was that I could not manage to get the stretchy stuff through the seed beads.  Well, I found out why.  This dang place I live at has only one arts and crafts store and the only stretchy cord they carried was way to big.  (I thought it only came in one size......go figure!)  I finally ordered some on-line and hey, it goes through the seed beads....DUH!  LOL!  So, these are stretchy ones!

This first one I wore with my leopard print tank top.

(I cut this foot out of poster board, lol!)

This next one is also made with stretch cord.  It uses one light blue glass flower bead, some light blue cat's eye beads and little blue beads.  (they aren't seed beads, just very small round beads)  This one has a couple of dangles that hang behind the heel.

Another Fancy Barefoot Sandal

I sometimes have trouble using teardrop beads because alot of time I don't like the way they hang in some necklaces so, thought I would use some other teardrops I had and make another barefoot sandal.  With this one I used pink seed beads, pink bi-cone crystals and clear (AB) teardrops.

When I uploaded the blue barefoot sandal that I made for the blog hop to Lima Beads Gallery, quite a few people asked if I would write a tutorial.  So, I am going to get busy with that and when its complete, I will post the link for anyone who is interested.  I normally charge $4.00 for my tutorials but, anyone who sees it here on my blog can post a comment and I will give it to them free.  (Once it is posted and the reply is to that post).

Thanks everyone for your great comments on the other barefoot sandal.  You guys make my day!

This Barefoot Sandal will be available at my store later this evening.

Thanks,

Foot Bling Blog Hop

I was really excited when Mystic Pesto announced this blog hop.  I love anklets and really like the barefoot sandal type of anklet.  I knew I wanted to make a barefoot sandal but didn't want to make a plain one with just a basic color variation so, after looking through my bead organizers over and over, I finally decided on some beads and a vision of what I hoped to turn them into in my head and started stringing beads.  Amazingly enough, the pattern in my head only needed a couple of small changes and the anklet went together pretty smoothly, I was surprised and happy because "restringing" and "changing this and that" require patience, something I have very little of these days, lol.  I also made a regular anklet.

So..... here is my barefoot sandal

This color usually looks good against black so had to include it.
The beads I used making the barefoot sandal are some blue quartz drop beads, blue jade beads and blue seed beads.

Then, I made a simple anklet using some black nugget beads and some black beads with a blue foil design.

Anklet #2.

Please remember to check out the other anklets made for this blog hop.

I know they will all be GREAT

Barefoot Sandal

I have always loved this style of anklet.  I have heard them called anklets, barefoot sandals, foot laces and foot thongs.  Anyone know what the real name for these are?  This anklet was handcrafted using blue and clear seed beads, blue oval disc beads, crystal flower beads, and blue bicone crystals.
I never really wanted my feet on public display, but here it is!
