Tokyo, Japan Day 5 // Lake Kawaguchiko, Mt Fuji! //

We are less than a month away from the big day! Been so busy lately that I havent had the time to blog. But I finally have the luxury of time to blog the remaining entries of our Japan trip in May today.

On the 5th day of our trip, we planned to head to Mt Fuji! But first, heavy breakfast to last us through the morning.

At Yoshinoya again! Hubby's salmon and sliced pork
My sliced pork bowl! I can have this everyday~
Enroute to Shibuya to take a shuttle bus to Lake Kawaguchiko!
Selfie while waiting the coach to arrive hehe
Reached Lake Kawaguchiko and we caught our first glimpse of Mount Fuji! The sky was extremely clear and we were so thankful for it as we heard that Mt Fuji can only be seen on 1/3 of the year.
So pretty and surreal to see this with my own eyes!
Headed to a nearby Tempura restaurant before our exploration begins
The tempura was so good!! Beats all of the tempura we have eaten before. Thumbs up for this man. And you know you are in a great place when all the customers are Japanese.
After our lunch, we were supposed to explore Lake Kawaguchiko when we saw a banner on this and realise its the flower festival. So we decided to give it a shot since it was about an hour's plus drive away. It was a big mistake....

The drive took us 5 hours to reach because the roads were super duper jammed due to the May holidays. We were so bummed on our way there because we had bought a return bus ticket back to Tokyo city and we know we might not make it back to the station in time.

So after 5 very long hours, we finally reached the place and we ran in record time to the entrance. Went in to take a few photos as we only had 30 mins or less before the last bus leave. >.<  Thank god Mount Fuji was very nice to us so we had a few nice photos, except for our very shagged out face :/
So shag until I donno where I was looking at haha.
This photo did not do the place justice.
It was breathtaking but unfortunately we could not really slow down to take it all in.
It was so difficult to take a good shot with all this photobombers around so we have to make do haha.
We walked further up where it was less crowded
And finally get to have a photo where its just us! But my fringe was sticking to my forehead eeww.
Selfie with Ms Fuji!
Trying to squeeze as much shots as possible haha
Before we left, here's a shot of Mt Fuji in its glory. I so wanna see it again!!
As expected, we missed the shuttle bus back to Tokyo city from Lake Kawaguchio, but thank god there was still a last bus available so we quickly bought tickets and began our arduous journey back to the city. It took us close to 5 hours.. Really sit until our butts hurt >.<
And dinner was not impressive as well.

Headed back to the hotel for an early night because wow, what a day it had been. LOL. But at least we checked Mt Fuji off our bucket list! :D
