Tokyo, Japan Day 3 // Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, Hie Shrine, Ginza, Shibuya //

We started off Day 3 fairly late cause we were too shagged out from Disneysea. Haha. Inserting daily selfie here! Plse pardon bloated face lol
Waiting for the metro to take us to Harajuku that morning!
A snap of their train signage
We wanted to have brunch at one of the recommended places in this building but the queue was horrendous so we gave up
Eventually fell back on Ichiran Ramen again haha. Fuss free and cheap. Most importantly, no queue!
Walked to Meiji Shrine thereafter.
Meiji Shrine is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken.
Here's the huge torii leading up to the actual shrine.

The shrine was built in an iris garden in an area of Tokyo where the Emperor and his wife was known to visit.
Another torii leading to the Meiji Shrine complex
Barrels of sake which was donated to Meiji Shrine

All visitors had to do a round of cleansing of their hands and mouth before entering the complex.
There was a performance going on that day
And a traditional wedding ceremony going on as well
The newlywed couple!
The wedding ceremony seems to be a really serious and solemn affair for the Japanese where they either decked out in suits or in their traditional Japanese costumes.
We also made a prayer in the shrine!
Putting up our wishes
After leaving the shrine, we went back to Harajuku for some snacks!
1st stop is to the famous Pablo Cheese tarts!
We bought the famous cheese tart and matcha tart to try. It was delish!

Melty cheese centre yums!
Then to the hyped up Takeshita Street which was super crowded la. We can't even explore the street thoroughly :(
People say, go Harajuku must eat crepes! Of course we need to have 1 too!
Chocolate banana crepe with whipped cream. The whipped cream was surprisingly light and fluffy! Not jelat at all!
Then to Calbee+ for some chips!

Got their bestseller and I finished most of it cause dearie can't take too much fried food. It tasted really potato-ish haha.
Wanted to try the lobster roll of Luke's lobster but the queue was crazy long so we gave up x2.
Then, we headed to another shrine - Hie Shrine.
No cherry blossoms but got wisteria!
Wisteria is in season so we took lots of photos with it!
It's so pretty!!

We wanted to go to a flower park for these wisterias but seeing this got us satisfied enough haha.
We went to the shrine for these orange torii path!

Spam more couple wefies!

Went convenience mart shopping thereafter to get more food!
We popped by Ginza thereafter to meet Dearie's exchange friend for dinner!
We also had some gyozas from the basement food hall while waiting for his friend.
There's no photos of dinner cause I was too paiseh to take. Haha.
We headed to Shibuya after dinner!
So many stalls but we din explore much as our legs were starting to give way then.
The famous Shibuya Crossing where everybody crossed the roads from all sides when the green man is on.
It's only fascinating for that short while though. Haha.
