We have been engaged for about half a year now, and whenever people saw the ring on my finger, they will ask so when's the big day? And my answer was always "Oh, we have not started planning yet." We choose to embrace in the engagement period first before diving head straight into wedding planning because seriously, we are not in a rush lol. I think that's the downside after dating for too long. Haha. If not for the fact that our house is going to be ready soon, I think we will just continue to date without even getting married. Lol.
Anyway, after constant nagging from parents and relatives, we finally embarked on our wedding prep journey!
The first decision we got to make was our wedding date. We decided it will be in 2017, preferably after getting our flat renovated so that we can move in straight after the wedding. In this case, I do not need to move in to his place first before our house is ready.
Based on our flat's current progress, we estimated that it will be ready in the 2nd-3rd quarter of 2017, which will bring our wedding to the 4th quarter of 2017. Based on HDB's website, our flat's estimated TOP date is 1st quarter 2018, but by the looks of it, it seems like it will be ready way earlier than scheduled since it is already at the painting phase now holy shit. So we are really hoping the key collection will not clash with the wedding day itself.
Then comes the headache, we were in a dilemma as to whether to consult a Shifu to ask for an auspicious wedding date or to randomly choose a date that means the most to us, which will be our anniv date, since it happens to fall in the weekend next yr too. Eventually, we fell back to tradition and ask for an auspicious date from the Shifu (lol, din know we are so traditional subconsciously) haha.
And finally.. our Big Day will be on
15 Oct 2017 (Sun)!
