Ting's Solemnization!

Attended the solemnization of my dearest bestie earlier this month! Friends since we were 13 and cant believe that she is someone's wife now! It's amazing how time flies and how we are moving towards the next phase of life.

It was held at Shin Yeh restaurant located at Clarke Quay, and was a cosy affair with 2 tables of families and close relatives. Therefore, I was extremely honoured when she invited me to attend the solemnization, albeit at the very last minute haha.

With the couple! Always had a good impression of her boy so I'm really really happy for her that they decided to tie the knot. I know for sure that he is going to treat her well and right, because nothing beats finding the right guy to spend the rest of the life together.

And the ceremony officially starts.

Exchanging of rings

Reciting the wedding vows together

And sealed with a kiss!

Heartiest Congralutions to my beloved friend and her husband! :D

And now I can't wait to attend her wedding banquet in Nov 2016!

S.H.E 炎亞綸 FOREVER STARS 2015 SINGAPORE

Went to the Forever Stars Concert on the 10th Nov! Has it already been 2 years since I attended S.H.E's concert in 2013?!

So I was extremely elated to attend their concert again, although it was accompanied by Aaron Yan this time.

The concert opens with him and he serenaded us with his songs for the 1st 45 minutes. But as I'm not a fan and neither do I know any of his songs, it did felt kinda boring to me during his segment. And apparently, I wasn't the only one who felt that way too. People around us were either shuffling to the washrooms, walking about getting food or basically scrolling through their fb feeds. It's quite sad to see that we did not give him as much attention as we gave to S.H.E

Because when it was S.H.E's segment, the crowd scream like mad! And I meant SCREAM THEIR LUNGS OUT, including me lolol.

I think considering their unwavering position in the Mandopop world, it's hard not to get excited seeing them performing because it is always a treat for the ears and eyes and soul every single time, unless you are really not a fan of them. Haha.

I only managed to get these photos of them when they were talking to the crowd because I was practically singing together with them throughout the entire 1hr 30 mins of their segment, all while waving my lightstick frantically haha.

It was not a world tour so there isn't any fanciful lightings, effects and costumes. But it was fine with us because what we really went for, was their vocals! Still so good after all these years!

I hope they won't be out of the scene too soon since 2 out of 3 is already married and intending to have kids, so just praying that they will have another album or concert coming up 2 years later!

Shao Pern & Jacqueline's Wedding

October was a month of happy events because it was also the wedding celebration of a great colleague at work!

The wedding lunch was held at Mandarin Oriental and the food is really up my alley that I am seriously considering having our wedding there too lol.

With the beautiful bride!

Managed to catch a few snaps with her during cocktail reception!

Got seated and waiting for food to arrive!

The food was really unique and different from the usual dishes served at other banquets, which is exactly the reason why we want to held ours there too :)

First time eating pork rib in a wedding banquet! And it was sooo tender and yummy la

Cod fish which was huge

Glutinous rice which was good too

And dessert!

Wedding favour was functional and so cute!

8 years of LOVE // ♥ THE PROPOSAL ♥

Today is our 99th monthsary. We are also engaged for 3 months now. I can't believe it!

And I'm finally penning down the proposal entry!

3 MONTHS EARLIER (23/09/15)

On our 8th Anniversary, both of us took leave to spend the day with each other. It started off like how our usual anniversaries are like, going for an awesome brunch, followed by movie then dinner. That's how our usual monthsaries are like too actually haha.

So that day was really nothing too out of the ordinary. Except we were going Rochester Park for dinner..

Brunch was at The Missing Pan! Not sure why we drove all the way to Bukit Timah but since it's on the way for us. There we went!

Brunch was absolutely yummy! It's been a long while since we had such good brunch food so totally no regrets for going all the way to the West of Singapore haha.

Thereafter, we went to catch a movie - The Everest! The movie was kinda upsetting by the way as it's based on a true story. And I really dont know why we chose to watch something sad on our anniversary. LOL. Maybe cause there wasnt too much of a choice.

So anyway, Dearie brought us to UNA at One Rochester for dinner that night.

Way before this, I had a teeny feel that he might pop the question as the restaurant was way too atas for our standard. We never even go Dempsey Hill together once! But part of me was telling myself it might be because he just started working and decided to spend abit more on our special day haha. Trying to manage my expectations so I dont end up being too disappointed if it did not happen lol. Also, he did not give me any flowers that morning when we met up for brunch so I brushed the thought aside haha.

We chose alfresco dining since the weather was pretty cooling that night. Here's me and a glass of white wine which the boy ordered. Still cannot appreciate wine for that matter but at least I had a few sips haha.

Dinner started off with complimentary bread with olive oil and vinaigrette aside. The bread was tough and hard man. But I quite like the bread sticks! Hehe.

UNA is a Spanish Restaurant so of course we ordered seafood paella to share! The portion was just nice and we finished everything!

We ordered a side of potatoes to share as well but it was way too dim for a good picture so I could only make do with this.

So while we were in the midst of eating, Dearie kept pestering me for his handmade card so we exchanged! We agreed on no gifts so we din prepare any for each other hehe. This was what I got. My first thought was wah what a huge book effort max but really pretty!

And as I started looking through the contents of it, I grew more and more suspicious cause it speaks about our milestones together for the past 8 years. And I knew it was coming.

That's when he stood up and came over to my side and started talking about how we have spent our years together, how I was always with him through it all, how he will continue to love me, take good care of me in our remaining lives together. I couldn't really pay attention cause I was in shock myself haha so I just kept nodding lol.

And he popped the question and I say "Orh, Okay!" instead of Yes lol. Told you I was in shock I can't even answer the question properly haha.

Here's him putting a ring on it ;)

If you are wondering, the photos were taken by the staff using Dearie's phone but most of them were pretty blur. Maybe he's feeling equally excited for us haha. But thank god we have these few photos for memory sake!

And so.. I have my flowers too! It was sent to the restaurant so the staff presented when we were done haha. So smart of him!

The boy behind it, I would like to think it was quite successful! I ask him later on and he said he wasn't even nervous but then he did tremble abit when putting the ring la haha.

And after everything was over, we went back to our dessert and behave like nothing happen lol, but I was basically drilling him on how he planned all this, while gushing about the flowers and scrapbook in between haha.

Dinner definitely ended on a sweet note for us :D

Sooo..

WE ARE ENGAGED!!!

I like that the proposal was an intimate affair with just the both of us, but I was pretty surprised he decided to do it in a restaurant with an alfresco setting because we did not want it to be a public affair at all! Thank god everybody was minding their own business that day and not much attention was on us, except for the couple on our next next table where the guy said "eh eh proposal!" to the gf when it happened lol.

Happy me!

Went back home and started snapping photos! The ring was a good fit so there was no resizing needed! ♥ (Dearie must have noted down my ring size on our countless trips to the jewellers hehe)

The contents in the scrapbook! I would like to think it was pretty well done and am definitely impressed!

We were swarmed by lots of congratulations around us the day after the proposal. Friends around me wanted a piece of the story as well. Nothing has since changes after the proposal, or maybe I became more sweet for a few days cause of the euphoria rush, but back to my normal self after that haha.

Lots of people started asking about wedding date, choice of hotel venues etc! My first reaction was: Way too fast guys!! Plse let us soak in the engagement period and start planning when the time is right!

Anyway, we have discussed and decided that we want to hold our wedding in 2017, hopefully our house is ready by then so we can move in straight away. So for now let's chill ya. Haha.
