Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix 2015

Finally blogging about the F1 event that we went 2 months back!

It was a gift for the boy for our 8th anniversary! He always wanted to attend one of these races, and with maroon 5 concert appearances, that gave me more reason to purchase! Not that we were much of maroon 5 fans, but we always think their songs are quite catchy and nice.

So the day came for us to collect our tickets! Queue was long but moving really fast so we were done in less than half an hour.

And 2 days later we headed to Padang! We got Zone 4 walkabouts tickets so we can walk around Zone 4 having different glimpses of the passing race cars. And to be honest, they were so fast you can barely take a proper photo of it unless you have a mega zai DSLR.

The area was really huge. Lots of merchandise and food booths were set up. But everything was so expensive! Just the tops are going at a range of $80-$100+. They are also selling umbrellas, caps, windbreakers and alot more.

It's like a big party going on with music and beers going around with food like fish and chips! The experience really felt very angmoh-ish!

We eventually succumbed and bought a cup of beer to cool us down. But I just took a sip and that's about it haha. It's $12 for 1! Not cheap at all lor. Haha.

There is this pit stop challenge where event-goers can try and see how fast they can change wheels. Not easy man.

So after awhile, we plopped ourselves at the Padang field to await for Maroon 5! We wanted to get good views so we were sitting there watching the races through the screens.

And when Maroon 5 came up, the crowd just scream lk nobody business and it became a standup concert really quickly. They performed for 1.5hrs and it was super high and amazing! Definitely enjoyed my first concert with a angmoh band haha. Thumbs up for the experience! (except for the fact that there might be some idiotic angmohs who went abit too crazy and stand throwing bottles?!, or sitting up on their friend's shoulders and blocking other people's view, and getting brushed by people with sweaty arms.)

We had a really smashing night! It's been a kind of experience but just once will do haha. Tickets are expensive but its the experience that counts. And it's been awhile since we were so happening we were home at 1am that night lol.

Bangkok Foodie Trip Day 4 & 5

Finally penning down the last leg of our Bkk trip!

Last full day of the trip and still haven got sick of the view.

On our way to find the best boat noodles in Bangkok, which was located near Victory Monument.

And here we are!

Their menu

We had the thicken noodle soup with Pork. Kinda tasty and it's the first time when I don't feel squeamish about drinking pigs blood lol.

We had a total of 10 bowls tgt!

Headed to CHATUCHAK next

We missed this place on our previous trip as it is only open in the weekends. But yea finally made it this trip. The weather was hot hot hot.

The place is really massive. Imagine 100x of Sg pasam malam and that might be the idea of it. They sell everything from antiques, pets, 2nd hand clothings, brand new clothings and so much more.

In search of the famous coconut ice cream but nope not this one. We just needed something to cool down.

Lunch here!

And we found the famous coconut ice cream!

We left the place about 1-2hrs later because we really couldn't stand the heat.

So we went back to Siam Paragon for some honey toast treat woo!

Dinner at INTER restaurant

Food was fairly average, nothing to scream for.

Then we went back to the tailor for Dearie to collect his shirts! We were satisfied customers!

Foot massage again thereafter!

Banana and chocolate prata on the roadside stall

Look what we found on our bed. So cute!

Bangkok dessert! Shaped like various assorted vegetables and fruits but they are actually filled with mung bean paste inside. Pretty yummy!

What we got from the entire trip. Not alot ya? Hehe.

My packing situation

Vs the boy who alrdy packed his :x

The next day was the last day of Bangkok! So gonna miss this view!

Having the wanton mee again

And crepes!

Crepe was nice!

Then, it was time for the airport.

Pre-lunch at the airport which was filling but not satisfying.

Scrambled to finish my meal in the 2hrs flight.

HOME SWEET HOME!

It feels refreshing to be home after a short recharge out of the country!

And this concludes my only travelogue this year. So sad but we are preparing for another one next year so let's look forward to that then! :D
