Dim Sum Dollies - The History of Singapore Part 1

Dearie got 2 complimentary VIP admission tickets to the Dim Sum Dollies so we caught the play 2 weekends back! Thanks to him that we finally catch a play in Esplanade Theatre haha (2 suaku.. )

Here's us on our way to the theatre!

With 2 interns working in the same branch as him lol. 2 very bubbly and cheerful girls oh how nice it is to be in their age!

And we got seated! We got really good seats right in the middle at the 1st few row!

Dim Sum Dollies basically narrates history of Singapore, of how the island was found and its evolution, it's really much more interesting than the usual history lesson as they inject loads of laughter and jokes in the performance without losing some of its initial intention and meaning. Well played indeed!

Before the show begins. Pardon the poor quality cause it's quite dark inside actually.

And this is our view! It was the perfect view cause we managed to see everything in its entirety hehe.

There's Hossen Leong too which really brings out the atmosphere in the play we feel. He's so hilarious and we had so much laughs!

A photo of us taken by his colleague which I love! Quite good photography skill there!

The show is 2 hrs with a 20 minutes intermission and we quite enjoy it! This was actually our first time watching a play together and I hope there will be more to come. Waiting for part 2 to be out and see if Dearie manage to get complimentary tickets again, else we might just pay to watch then. Hehe.

92nd monthsary @ Tanuki Raw

Feeling the mood to pen down some random stuff today.

Dearie suggested having dinner at Tanuki Raw on our 92nd monthsary! We managed to beat the crowd and got seated at 6.30pm on a Friday night. Hehe.

Ordered the Ocean Rockefeller (i love the name lol) as side and it's basically raw salmon, scallop and spicy lobster topped with torched mozzarella. It was very yums we savoured it really slowly haha.

Dearie had the salmon don which consist a variety of raw salmon, salmon belly and aburi! So much variety in a bowl hehe. The salmon mentaiko don which I had were delish too! I super love anything mentaiko!

It was a well spent monthsary, great food and great company, nothing more to ask for hehe. 8 more months to our 100th monthsary we should plan something exciting haha.

I have been browsing the SQ website lately and feeling the urge to buy the next flight ticket out of Sg. Always wanted to visit Japan to witness its sakura beauty but avoided doing due to the radiation leak. (Actually I'm not even sure if it's safe to go now but I guess since the cities we intend to go to is quite a distance to Fukushima, it should be alright I guess?)

But well, everything is still not confirmed yet cause we will have to wait till Dearie starts working in his new role to see if he is able to take leave during that period.

But still, SQ is not helping cause the tickets are so cheap now?! It's about $650/pax! And I'm pretty sure prices will increase as time goes but I guess its better to wait and seek clearance from Dearie's boss before we do anything rash. Buying tickets 10 months in advance is a litttleeee bit too  夸张 heh.

And over the weekend, I accompanied Dearie for his suit fitting at Harboufront!

Lunch at Seah Im food centre and the carrot cake is so yummy! Of really good bite sizes and so much egg noms!

His suit and him. So many tailors in the area and it's so much cheaper than getting from retail boutiques. I told Dearie he should just tailor a few shirts and pants too hehe.

Cant wait to collect the suit with him by end of this month so I can eat the carrot cake again lol.

Seoul, Korea Day 8 // Christmas Eve @ Everland - Safari World, Zootopia! //

After exploring the theme park attractions of Everland, we interacted with animals!

Yes, they have a mini zoo there! Told you Everland is really biggg.

Seriously the smell inside Petting Zoo is indescribable it's really like in a zoo lol.

Nonetheless we tried to stay around observing all these cute animals.

Like this group of sheep! They look so fluffy dressed in korean wear haha.

They look like guinea pigs?

Lots of chicks!

Then we went on to Safari World and see the bigger animals.

It's quite different because instead of walking around like how we usually tour the Singapore Zoo, we were ushered into a vehicle that can bring us to both land and water areas. They would slow down whenever we are nearing the animals territories and stayed there for a moment for us to take pictures!

Seated on both sides of the vehicles so we can see more animals cause they really are everywhere!

Yes this happens, but of course those in the car are their staff bringing their meals so you can actually see the lion is not gonna wait yo.

Love that they are just roaming in the wild like this! If only Singapore can be like Korea in this concept where animals roam freely instead of cooping them in restricted compounds. But sadly I think Sg does not have the space for such arrangement.

Anyhow, these are grizzly bears! Mad big and cute!

It stands upon the guide's commands!

Like a model yo haha.

Sitting on its butt and clapping its paws waiting for some treats! How adorable haha.

Then we see these foxes too.

And deers?

The lion and his lioness. They really give off the majestic vibes.

We have giraffes poking in for their treats! Their tongue is damn longggg btw. haha.

It was great fun seeing these wild animals and we had a really great time.!

Went to queue for the sky lift to bring us back to the other end!

Up up and away! Not as scared this time as it's the exact open concept like the one we went up on in Beijing haha.

It was almost sunset then and the decorations are lit up!

Magic tree and its beauty

They have a line store!

How cute! Abit regret not buying one back haha.

And we had a group photo just before we left Everland! It was so much fun I hope to be back here again someday and probably play all the rides!

We had a seafood feast for dinner at one of the HOF Seafood Bar & Restaurant serving really fresh seafood! This tub of seafood tasted super awesome with stuff like squids, prawns, clams, mussels and abalones and it did not cost us much, probably less than $20 per pax? Some patrons have it with beer but obviously we went without haha.

To more street food after dinner. Egg bread which we loveeee

Twisted potato too! Omg I always buy a stick whenever I walk by one of those stalls. Too addictive!

Chocolate coated strawbies again. Hehe. Really sweet and juicy!

Feeling the xmas spirit!

Non-stop eating and we takeaway twotwo chicken back to our hotel room just before leaving! Then we just eat and lepak the night away hehe.

Soy garlic flavour and it was yums although it did not look very promising here heh. I'm surprised we finished all. We bought like 16 pcs back lol.

More matcha roll from Osulloc!

Shagged face by the end of the night haha.

And I'm finishing the travelogues soon!! T.T
