Happy Good Friday all!
Cheers to long weekend so I'm going to continue with my travelogues!
So after Nami Island, we hopped on a taxi to bring us to Petite France. We did not manage to board the bus as it was too crowded and the next bus wont be there till 30 minutes late, so we decided to just take the cab else we will reach the city quite late in the evening
Petite France is a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside and serves both as a French cultural village and a youth training facility as well. Visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing and household culture. The concept of Petite France encapsulates "flowers, stars, and the Little Prince"
But I think the main reason why people flock to Petite France is because it was starred in one of the scenes in the drama series "You who came from the stars, 来自星星的你" and its colourful buildings I guess!
Here we are after close to 20 minutes ride!
Snow covered roofs! *.*
These are the colourful houses I mentioned. It instantly lifts up one's spirits don't you think so? It feels like a cheerful place to be in hehe.
Favourite picture of us taken by a fellow Singaporean. Loving the familiarity of meeting fellow countrymen overseas! Super love the colours as well it might go up on the walls of our new home :)
OOTD worthy backdrop!
Not a fan of the drama. I din even watch it but its okay! Just snap a photo only :)
And we left the place with a happier heart hehe! We did not spend a lot of time there, probably an hour so we did not really explore the nook and cranny of every corner. We managed to take in whatever we can in that short span of time so it was a trip worth the time for at least once I guess!
Took the train back to the city and I could not remember how long we took but it was probably close to an hour? We were sooo tired in the train but there were no seats for us so I can only squat on the floor to relieve my aching feet. Haha. Can imagine?
Later in the evening, we headed down to find this old traditional restaurant which serves yummy 一只鸡 for dinner. Had quite a hard time finding this place cause it was located behind an alley, but thanks to the help of a local that we found it. Waited for close to 30 minutes before we got seated and was so thankful that they installed heaters outside the restaurant for us to seek warmth while waiting.
Food was served pretty quickly and the staff there helped with all the cutting of the chicken to bite sized pieces before we dig in. It is really comfort food in the chilly weather! Instantly warms up the stomach as well. It might not look appealing but somehow it just taste nice, and luckily they have pretty good chilli to dip the meat in so i quite like this meal. :D I forgot how much was it but probably $40 for 2 young chickens? Worth the money I would say!
Went back to the hotel for a pampering night! Slap on the mask and let it do its job while we watch tv! Quite shiok the feeling! Shiok until the boy fell asleep and I need to help him remove his mask and massage the remaining essence into his face and neck. #girlfriendduties lol
Took a serious wefie cos cannot smile later got creases and wrinkles haha.
Okay I'm half way there through the travelogues already! Hope to finish blogging everything by June! :D
