♥ Our 7th Year Anniversary Part I ♥

On our 7th Year Anniversary, I took a day of leave since Dearie is also having his break! Whee!

We woke up real early and decided to make brunch for ourselves. Bad bad decision. Read on to find our why..

Our menu of the day sounds pretty decent! Blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms and a huge chicken frankfurt! We thought we could do this but we were so wrong. :(

Ingredients!

Dearie slicing the portobello mushrooms!

And I was whipping the pancake mix furiously to create the correct texture! Initially our plan was to make french toast but we thought it will be too much eggs since we already got scrambled eggs. So we thought why not pancakes!

This part is so wrong cause I later found our that we should throw the blueberry bits into the pan so it won't get burnt that easily compared to mixing it together.

Mushroom sautee-ing in process!

It smells really good and tasted exactly like what we can find in cafes!! It's so easy to do!

Anyway our pancake was a major failure :( It's either overcooked or undercooked, and we can't create that right kind of fluffy that we want, you know like macdonald's pancake? Wonder what and where went wrong. We made about 10 pancakes, threw away 2 burnt ones and the rest barely passable, and sort of burnt the pan in the process too :x

We figured then that pancakes is not as easy as it looks. So the whole pancake mix is still lying around in the cabinet not knowing when our next attempt is gonna be :x

And it was so much work! Took us 1.5hr to make this can you believe it, I believe majority of the time was spent on getting to know the pancakes yo. Haha. The pancakes really defeated the both of us max. So what should be a really heartwarming and cosy brunch turned out to be the most sweaty and unglam cookout session ever. All mood was gone when we were done cause we were so tired and majorly hungry. HAHA.

But looking on the bright side, the rest are really good nonetheless! Like the scrambled eggs was mega nice and creamy, guess the boy added quite abit of milk hehe. Super love. And the chicken frankfurt can't go wrong la haha!

I remembered telling the boy that if only we stick to french toast, then our brunch might not be so jialat after all haha.! Well well~

So here, our first attempt at brunch. Lol, I shall give it a 6/10 to encourage myself. HAHA. Taste is alright but presentation damn cui. LOL.

And so technically I still own the boy a brunch treat cause I'm supposed to be treating for brunch, and he thought I suggested cooking ourselves to save my own $. LOL. I was just too ambitious~

Anyway I was so tired after washing all the utensils and everything that I went back to snooze for a bit and we only managed to hit town around 4pm lol! Major fail HAHA. And we were quite hungry too so we went to Cold Storage located at Takashimaya and grabbed some sushi goodness! We found this really nice place that allows us to consume the sushi and bento right away! Seats are really limited though, probably around 6-7. But nothing we can complain if they serve free flow green tea! Hehe.

It was really yummy for $7.90!! The sushi got standard one!

Miso soup for $1.80 with spring onions, some tofu and carrot bits! Seldom see miso soup with so much ingredients it was so hearty! Resisted ordering a second bowl! I guess this place will be one of our to go places whenever we need a quick sushi fix!

After having our tummies filled, we headed to Mandarin Gallery for my brow threading appointment! And the boy also did his virgin threading too! Im not sure if he's a convert now but he certainly look more groomed with his neat brows :)

Camwhoring before my appt!

Selfie!

LOL what pose is that man.

Neater brows for both of us :) Thread brows together checked! Achievement unlocked hehe!

Okie shall stop here and blog about Part 2 on our Anniversary dinner soon!

Good night!

82nd monthsary @ Cafebiz, Traders Hotel; 83rd monthsary at Yoogane! :D

Since I have a couple hours of free time, I thought I could document where we had our monthsary dinners for the past 2 months. I just like to post photos of what I eat cause food plays a very big part in my life and I just like to eat and try out the food which different places got to offer. Haha.

Even though the photos really quite cui cause the lighting was so dim and yellowish, but this is my best effort!

On our 82nd monthsary which falls in July, we made use of the 1 for 1 promo for UOB Card members since it was the GSS season, and headed down to Cafebiz at Traders Hotel for a round of dinner buffet! This is actually our first time having hotel buffet together cause it is usually quite expensive and we arent really big eaters. But we thought to give it a try since there was a promotion!

Some photos of their selections! They have more food than these just that I'm too embarrassed to keep taking photos la. Haha.

Sushi section

Seafood

Close up

Chawamushi!

Roast section

DIY Rojak

Dessert table! Massive selections I must say and we din manage to try all! Although Im not really a fan of sweet stuff, I see such a big display I also feel happier haha.

Another one with the chocolate fondue!

Ice Shaver machine to DIY your own ice kachang? They have several ice cream on the left and condiments of ice kachang on the right :)

So here's what we got!

Laksa

Some naan, pineapple rice, spaghetti and braised meat

sushis, more braised meat and cooked seafood

fresh looking crabs, prawns for the boy and cooked salmon for me!

Requested the staff to help us take a photo and the lighting is really baddd :(

The mister trying his best to deshell the crab claw haha

Doing some DIY rojak for us!

Chawamushi, steamed fish and the one on the left should be oyster omelette I think?

Some roasted pork with rice and some barely passable DIY Kueh Pie Tee made by the boy HAHA.

Raw tuna and salmon

After the meal, we were thankful that we visited during their 1 for 1 promotion cause we think the food was really so so unfortunately. And even with 1 for 1 promo, it cost us approx $37/pax! Imagine it is about $70+ for a usual weekday dinner!! Definitely no thanks lor. :x And the food only lasted us for awhile, reach home and we need to takeaway supper :/

****

So on our 83rd monthsary, we went to somewhere more wallet friendly! Hehe.

It's none other than Yoogane! We were so willing to queue for 45 mins for this. HAHA. Since it's operations of a few months, I have been there 3 times alrdy. Lol super hardcore. And the queue is still there! Hope the crowd will lessen once they open their 2nd outlet!

We ordered 2 portions of food, one with squid and the other just normal chicken galbi with marinated rice and mozarrella cheese, super good I tell you. Everybody must try. HAHA. Then we add on another portion of korean noodles. Such big eaters ah!

The squid looks really gross right here.

Cheesseee my loveee!~

Does it look appealing enough? Taste super yummy I eat so many times I still not sick of it, leave me craving for more more more. Haha.

There's free flow cabbages and kimchi too! But with so much food, the side dishes are often neglected haha.

The rice omg, the staff just laid it on top like that, so we mixed it in ourselves hehe. Cheesy rice in every bite!

Photo for keepsake hehe.

Not surprise since we finished up everything! Left with a super happy belly heheh. And it cost us approx $45 for both? Super worth it la! Hehe.! Gosh now I feel like having it again as I'm blogging about it :x

Anyway we tried this new kid in Bugis thereafter, it's mainly Japanese Taiyaki (sort a like Japanese pancake with filling), we chose matcha for ours, and they topped it off with ice cream and matcha cream on top, together with some red beans. It's okie nice but super expensive cost near to $5! Wa lao ey!

Okie finally done updating! Will blog about our 7th year anniversary soon woohoo!! :D:D

The boy's proj meeting is done for the day so I'm gonna prepare and head out to meet him le! Have a great weekend y'all!

My regular Sunday

Today is work out Sunday!

After stopping for about 3 weeks, we finally headed to the gym and do some running!

Pushed myself over the limit and ran 5.5km in 40 mins! Really achievement unlocked considering I used to run like 2.3km in 20 mins!

My top was so so soaked at the end of the run! Super tiring training but it was mega shiok I can felt my heart pumping and doing its work hehe!

Hope my complexion will get better after all this regular running ah!

Ate like a pig after the gym session with chicken rice 加饭. Hehe shiokness.

Also gotten some winter accessories from Winter Time cause they were having 32% discount for 2nd pc storewide! Only managed to get the beanie and gloves though cause the scarf selection were really limited at Bishan outlet. Gonna head to another outlet this week! Just need to get that, wool socks, thermal tights and I'm all ready for Korea! Why isn't it Dec alrdy ahh!

Just 2 more days to our 7th year anniversary so confirm no monday blues tmr! Feeling the love it's so overwhelming, probably because we went ring shopping over the weekend! Dearie insisted to bring me to a few jewellers to check out my preference for carat size and band design for my engagement ring. I think he was also secretly looking out for my ring size too, so can save the time to bring it for resizing in future heh. I'm all okay with him bringing me and wont feel that the surprise element will be lacking cause I still wont know when is the proposal gonna be. And also since Dearie thinks that Im the wearer, he might as well let me have some say in what I want. Hehe.! He need not feel so troubled over what to get me too!
