Chef At Work; Tom Yum Goong

Weeks back, we had another cookout session!

It was really impromptu cause I woke up saying I wanna have tom yum soup for lunch and off we went to buy ingredients early in the morning! Talk about spontaneity haha!

Main lead goes to the tom yum paste we handcarried back from Bkk!! But then I found out it is available in Sg too! :D

Ingredients used (Serving size: 5-8 pax):
- 2 packs of tom yum paste
- 1 pack of boneless chicken breast
- 1 pack of oyster mushroom
- 1 pack of crabmeat
- 400grams of prawns & a squid (lol)
- 1 tom yum kit (consist of lime, lemongrass, cilantro, green chilli and ginger)

Preparation time: 30 mins
Cooking time: 30 mins

Instructions:
1. Slice all the ingredients.
2. Begin with preheating tom yum paste, lemongrass and ginger at a small stockpot on low heat.
3. Add chicken breast and squid into stockpot. Stir and cook until near done.
4. When the squid is near done, add oyster mushroom, crabmeat and prawns. Bring to boil on medium heat.
5. Add lime juice, green chilli, cilantro and serve. :)

Let's get started!! Some behind the scene photos!

As you can see, he handles all the big items, the chicken, prawns and squid. Heh.

And I only cut up the oyster mushrooms and crabmeat. HAHA.

Tada!! End product!! Super nice and it is not too spicy as well. But definitely can be spicier next time wahaha! And lunch was so fulfilling and rewarding!!

Thinking of the next cookout session already! Maybe some pasta? Slurps! :D

2 Degree Ice Art Exhibition 2014

All these photos have been lying around in my harddisk for the longest time! Finally found some time to dig them out and blog. Hehe. Nowadays I browse through qoo10.com for winter wear whenever I have the time cause it's so addictive! Massive varieties out there, cheaper than retail shops as well. I have since book-marked a few and cant wait to make the purchases. Hope they will be good! :D

Anyway, back to this. Corporate passes to 2 Degree Ice Art a month back!

At first I thought it was 2 degrees? But NOOOo.. freaking -15 degrees. It was quite enjoyable and shiok until my toes froze half way and decided to go numb on me. Self reminder to buy many wool socks for Korea!!

Photos taken using phones so the quality really cannot be helped! Afraid to bring our camera cause we are worried of the condensation and spoiling the parts in the midst of it! Oh another self reminder, to get waterproof bag for camera! Hehe.

Like a male model hehe

To sum it up, the exhibition was rather small so I think it's so so only? Actually can finish touring in 15 minutes but we try to hang around longer to take more pictures since we paid! We did not get a chance to go on the ice slide though cause it was so crowded with screaming teenagers -.- And there was a ice bar just beside but we need to pay for cold beers in a ice mug so we forgo it as it was a weekday, and also because it was not cheap!

Nonetheless at least we know what kinda cold we will be experiencing in Dec so we can be prepared! Hehe! I hope it will be a damn shiok one. Cannot wait to don on the winter wear the next time!! :D

Camwhore while waiting for food to be served!

Coffee came, with a revolver no less. For photo sake and its not loaded. Hehe. I wonder if it's real though?

Food came!
