New Blog Header

Whee! So I just added a MEGA HUGE blog header! LOL!

I know it's super big but I have no idea how to make it smaller. Maybe I will refine it one day...

Anyway, Mickey and Minnie are way too cute for me to remove them as header, or maybe I will if there are nicer photos worthy to be put up there. ;)

Hong Kong Day 4! :D // Ocean Park //

Here comes Day 4! We had our breakfast at a restaurant located near Sheung Wan which was highly frequented by locals!

You know it's super popular when you see the place packed with people eating and chit chatting away! It took us about 15 minutes to wait for a table, and eventually we shared our table with a middle-aged couple. It is common to share tables in HK.

Our breakfast! They do not have a specific system where we placed orders after browsing through the menu, and wait for food to come. Instead, trolleys of dimsum were pushed around by the workers and we got to go over to tell them what we want, exchanging for chops on our order sheet to track our orders. It was quite a challenge getting good food cause they usually get snapped up in no time and we got to wait for refills!

I certainly preferred the more leisure way of ordering and waiting for food to come. These battles in the morning are so not needed. LOL.

We headed to Ocean Park after breakfast!

There was nothing fascinating except for the north pole/south pole encounter which I really enjoyed! More pictures below!

Cannot even see pandas cause the weather was so freaking hot that they were hiding in the shade! This was my best shot :(

Express train to take us from one end to the other end of Ocean Park!

My hamsum baby with his $5 rainbow unbrella from Taobao! Makes for very good photoshoot props in future. LOL.

The red panda was snoozing! Seriously, all animals just slack in their own comfort zone. Not a good time to visit Ocean Park in the summer!

We saw some exciting rides but we did not go for it!

THIS IS CRAZY O.O

We did not see any Polars :(

But we saw penguins!

And a really pretty fox!

And it was dinner then.

Went back to the hotel to freshen up before we went to Argyle Centre! The clothes that were sold were cheap and affordable, somewhat like our Far East Plaza! But sadly, I did not get anything from there as time was tight! Booo.. :(

Popped into H&M at Langham Place and nothing catches my eyes too?! Isit me?! Why people say HK is a shopping paradise but I bought nothing back, except maybe a Naraya bag. LOL.

Too sad so we bought food to munch on, my favourite 咖喱鱼蛋!

And I certainly prefer Disneyland compared to Ocean Park. Hehe. :D

Hong Kong Day 3! :D // Macau //

The next day, we woke up looking and feeling like a lobster cause we got sunburnt from Disneyland. Only my face was unscarred cause I spammed on loads of sunblock. My shoulder blades were frigging red and stings ocassionally. But it was quite cool cause I got a temporary tatoo of a racerback. ;) Nonetheless, learnt my lesson and spammed sunblock on my exposed skin for the rest of the trip since then.

Going forward, we had our breakfast at Macau Restaurant on Day 3! It was so apt hehe.

Headed to China Ferry Terminal thereafter to get our tickets to Macau! Decided to go there for a day trip since the journey was only an hour!

We board TurboJet! One of the best ferry carriers :) It is known for its spacious seats and stability.

A photo of us before Dearie zonked out to sleepyland and me just passing time reading magazines. Heh.

Upon reaching Macau, we engaged a driver who drove us around the famous landmarks. I remembered we paid about $40sgd/pax. We were so glad that we got someone to bring us around in comfy air-conditioned car cause the sun was showing no mercy!

This was taken when we were at the Fisherman's Wharf! Not quite what I was expecting but definitely better, the construction looks so european that I think it can be easily passed off as some buildings in Italy or something. Heh.

The Macau Tower

Casino Lisboa, one of their famous casino.

We were then brought to this church which was there close to four hundred years I think. But of course loads of maintenance work goes into it.

Kun Lum Statue

We were then given free time to have lunch and roam around Senado Square before we move on to other famous landmarks.

Lunch was at this famous restaurant which was well known for their noodles.

It was delicious indeed! Or maybe we were too hungry heh. Soup was tasty and prawns fresh!

At Senado Square

Love their buildings!

And we moved on to have 双皮奶 next!

Super yumm! It was creamy and smooth and sweet all at the same time. I especially love the one topped with red beans cause it added some texture to it. :) The bowl with the yellow 双皮奶 was all egg yolk which I dont really like.

How can we not visit Ruins of St Paul when in Macau! The driver said: "If you never visit this while in Macau, then you have never been to Macau."

It is so impressive when you look at it closely.

Favourite photo! :D

And a different view with the extended family!
Then we said goodbye to the driver and tipped him a little before making our way to The Venetian!

It is super huge omgs!

Had to take a touristy shot at the entrance of The Venetian. How magnificent!

Check out the pretty ceilings!

Brought these egg tarts and they are so damn good!! Super crispy exterior and soft buttery fillings! I regretted not buying more!

They have their own MBS too!

Reached Hong Kong around 9ish and chanced upon Mobile Softee while walking back to hotel! Of course we had to get 1!

Okay the ice cream aint supposed to be so fat and stout, I nom-ed off a bit before I can stop myself in time :/ It was realllyyy soft...

And of course! 许留山! Yums!

That's all for Day 3!

XOXO, gotta go to bed now!
