Foiled Merry Christmas

Friday, November 8, 2019

Happy Friday, lovelies!
Today I am sharing a Christmas card that I made with some of the Therm-O-Web goodies I received!

I love these big beautiful poinsettias from the Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs Stamp n' Stencil Wishing You Joy Set!

I heat embossed the flower image with red EP on white cardstock and die cut them using the coordinating die set, then applied the white parts of the poinsettias using the Detail Stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel. Once the gel was completely dry, I ran them through my laminator with the Deco Foil Iridescent Transfer Sheets. The bonus here was I guess some of the sparkles stuck to the embossing powder so the pedals were lightly foiled as well! Isn't it pretty!!? Happy accident 💙

This gorgeous sentiment was heat embossed with gold EP on a strip of vellum along with some diamond/argyle in white.

These leaves were die cut from green cardstock using the TOW Gina K. Stamp n' Stencil Wishing You Joy Die Set and applied the veins using the Detail Stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel. Once the gel was dry, they were run through the laminator with the Deco Foil Emerald Green Flocks Transfer Sheets. I LOVE the fuzziness! It also gives great dimension and texture, it is so fun!

I kept the background simple with light blue ink and some gold splatters so that the flowers really popped! Several gold sequins were sprinkled and done! I love how this card turned out!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Autumn Wishes with Therm-O-Web

Friday, November 1, 2019

Hello, lovelies, Happy November!
I received this package from Therm-O-Web (thank you, Julie!!!) and it was filled with their fabulous new release products! So right away, I opened it up and got creative with them, and here is my first card ;-)

This autumn card was created using the TOW Gina K. Designs Stamp n' Stencil autumn Wishes Set. This beautiful stamp set coordinates with the Coordinating Die Set, and the Detail Stancil for foiling!

I heat embossed the tall and skinny tree image with Ranger Distress Embossing Powder in Vintage Photo on the watercolor panel. And using the Autumn Wishes Detailed Stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel to add these tiny leaves onto the trees. Once the Transfer Gel was dried, I added the leaves using the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Sunshine Yellow and Orange Glow

Between the 2 trees, I stamped this beautiful sentiment with Versamark Ink then heat embossed with red EP. I die cut these little birds from the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Sunshine Yellow using 2 of the tiny bird dies from the Newton's Nook Designs Forest Scene Builder Die Set.

I also die cut this little "squirrell" using the squirrel die from the NND Forest Scene Builder Die Set, but I added black and white lines to turn him into a chipmunk ;-)
The background was blended with Distress Oxide Inks then some water and copper ink were splattered all over.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
I will be back with more TOW projects to share!

Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

Newton's Nook Designs x Therm-O-Web - Naki Rager

So I made 2 totally different cards today!

Newton's Nook Designs Fox Hollow Set - Naki Rager

Therm-O-Web let us pick some of their fabulous products to play with for this week's collaboration (thank you so much! 💕) and this Brutus Monroe Designer Toner Sheets-Distress Circles was the first item I chose! These toner sheets are acetate sheets with designs printed with toner, and all you need to do is run it through a laminator with a deco foil sheet on top. I foiled this one with Silver Deco Foil Transfer Sheet to make it look like snow ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Fox Hollow Set - Naki Rager

This beautiful fox couple image is from the Fox Hollow Set, one of my all-time favorites 💛
It was stamped with Light Gray Archival Ink on watercolor paper, I did what I call "sloppy watercoloring" meaning I basically threw colors on the image and didn't care if I went outside the lines ;-) It gives this imperfect and very soft look and I simply love it! When it was all nice and dry, I die cut it with the Coordinating Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs Fox Hollow Set - Naki Rager

I stamped this sweet little sentiment with blue inks to match the fox's scarf, but the blue I used wasn't even close to the scarf {LOL}, so I stamped it again with a different hue BUT only about 1/3 of the sentiment to give an ombre-ish finish.

Newton's Nook Designs Fox Hollow Set - Naki Rager

I adhered the Iridescent Deco Foil Transfer Sheets on white cardstock and die cut 2 pieces of hills using the Land Borders Die Set. Then I also die cut some birch trees and pine trees using the Forest Scene Builder Die Set, mounted everything (except the lower hill piece) right on the base card, added my distress circle toner sheet, then the hill and the fox couple.

Newton's Nook Designs Ornamental Wishes Set - Naki Rager

This card was put together fairly quickly because I used leftover pieces from the previous projects ;-)
This gorgeous red foil background is the negative piece from THIS CARD. For this card, this piece was only slightly bigger than A2 size so I trimmed off 1/8" from 1 horizontal side and 1 vertical side, wrapped the excess over on the back and just taped the 4 sides with scotch tape. It was kind of like wrapping a present with a fancy wrapping paper! ;-)

Newton's Nook Designs Ornamental Wishes Set - Naki Rager

I had this sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes Set heat embossed with gold EP on acetate sheet that was die cut using the Ornament Shaker Die Set, I made this for the October Release but ended up not using it. The acetate by itself on the foiled background made the sentiment hard to see so I die cut another ornament from this jade cardstock and tucked it behind the acetate sheet. Isn't the jade beautiful against the red!?

My pretty little bow was made with the Gina K. Designs Gingham Fancy Ribbon, I just LOVE this gorgeous ribbon! I also used the Gina K. Designs Premium Cardstock Luxury White on both of my cards today. They're really really smooth, I bet they're perfect for coloring, too!

Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holiday Release

Saturday, September 22, 2018

Hello, lovelies!
So last week, I received this Email from Julia at Therm-O-Web asking me if I'd like to make a few projects with some of their new Holiday Release! Well, of course, I said YES! Ever since the Newton's Nook Designs and Therm-O-Web collaboration (click HERE to see my post!), foiling has become one of my favorite techniques to use ;-) I was beyond thrilled to open the happy mail from them!

Not the most flattering looking photo (SORRY!) but you can see what they sent me 💙 Isn't this simply beautiful!? 😍 Thank you so very much, Therm-O-Web!

Okay, here is my first project using the new Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holly Jolly Set ;-)

Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holly Jolly Set - Naki Rager

I am not ready for Christmas personally {LOL} but this beautiful new set certainly inspired me!
(I am not a great photographer, and photographing shiny things is even more difficult! So I apologize for this "meh😑" photo...)

Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holly Jolly Set - Naki Rager

I should have taken some "making of" pictures! These Foil-Mates Detail Sheets are really quite clever and the results you get is simply gorgeous like these poinsettias! HERE is the video by Gina K. demonstrating the products if you want to see how fun and easy it is! I stamped the poinsettia image from the Holly Jolly Stamp Set onto the outline image on the Detail Sheet with Distress Ink Candied Apple (I like that slightly faded red just like the real poinsettias), die cut them using the Coordinating Die, and foiled them with the Gina K. Designs Gold Sequins Fancy Foil. I LOVE how it reflects different colors other than gold!

Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holly Jolly Set - Naki Rager

Isn't this such a sweet little image!? This was also included in the Holly Jolly Detail Sheets so I just had to ink it up and foil it using the same process as the poinsettias.

Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holly Jolly Set - Naki Rager

I wanted to make a shaker, but instead of using the plain acetate sheet for it, I used this toner sheet that was foiled with the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foil Jelly Bean Green. I LOVE this gorgeous yellow-green color 💚

Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holly Jolly Set - Naki Rager

I thought foiling the sentiment with this beautiful Gina K. Designs Fancy Foil Turquoise Sea would add a nice contrast to this red/green/gold card ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it!
I'll be back with more projects using the new Therm-O-Web Gina K. Designs StampnFoil Holiday Release

Newton's Nook Designs & Therm-O-Web Inspiration Week

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

Happy Wednesday, lovelies!
This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to add fun foils and more to your cards using Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

Before I show you my shiny project, take a look at all the goodies Therm-O-Web sent us the NND DT members! Thank you so much 💗 I had never tried foiling before, therefore, I had NO CLUE what I was supposed to do with all these beautiful products! {LOL} Good thing my team members are absolutely awesome and helped me! 😉

Alright, here it goes!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Pot of Gold Set - Naki Rager

I picked the Newton's Pot of Gold Set for today's card😉 I thought all the gold coins in his pot would be fun to foil! But I ended up foiling a lot more than his little gold!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Pot of Gold Set - Naki Rager

So first things first, I stamped my leprechaun kitty with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Chameleon Markers. After fussy cutting the image, I applied the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen to the gold coins and the buckle on his little hat. All I had to do was place a piece of gold foil sheet on the image and firmly but gently (so that I wouldn't rip this delicate foil sheet) rubbed the foil over where the adhesive was applied, and lifted the foil sheet. It is THAT EASY!!!

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Pot of Gold Set - Naki Rager

The second thing I foiled is this sentiment die.
I die cut the sentiment from Double Sided Foam Tape, removed the paper from the top side, laid gold foil sheet on the sentiment, rubbed it firmly but gently, and lifted the foil sheet. THAT IS IT!!! If I knew foiling was this easy, I would have tried it a lot sooner!

I was going to add a rainbow die behind the Leprechaun kitty, but really wanted to try the Transfer Gel! So I pulled out the Tumbling Hearts Stencil and placed it over white cardstock, which was die cut with the Frames & Flags Die Set. I used the Purple Tape to hold the stencil down, and cover where I didn't want the gel applied. This Purple Tape is one of the new products from Therm-O-Web. I read people talking about this tape on Stamp Junkies and was curious so I was pretty excited to have received one!

After applying the gel, I let it sit for several hours to dry, then placed little pieces of pink, red, gold, green, and blue foil sheets over the hearts. I set the panel down on another piece of cardstock then placed them in folded parchment paper and ran it through my laminator. You can see that some of the hearts are missing wee bits of foil, I think I applied the gel uneven 😬 Other than that, aren't these rainbow colored hearts just gorgeous!!? I used the little heart from the Darling Hearts Die Set to die cut from the Double Sided Foam Tape and foiled it with green just because 😉

This Toner Sheet is another new product from Therm-O-Web.
There are different designs with toner on acetate and they can be foiled.
This tiny polka dots sheet was foiled with the Sequin Gold Foil, isn't it beautiful!?

Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Pot of Gold Set - Naki Rager

I love the tiny polka dots sheet, but didn't love it on today's card. Luckily, I had 3 other designs and these diagonal stripes looked perfect 💚 I also added this Lucky sentiment from the Newton's Pot of Gold Set, which was heat embossed with the same green as the base card, and it was fussy cut.
There are more amazing projects today over on the Therm O Web blog so pop over there for more inspiration!
