My side stage vantage point did not do justice to how beautiful Daiana Menezes was last night at the Dutdutan Festival. But she IS still beautiful at any angle!
Here's Daiana wowing the crowd and clowning around with Sam YG, Slick Rick, and Ramon Bautista of the Boys Night Out!
Reflections, insights, and contemplations. Crappy stuff mostly---from an equally crappy individual! NOT!

Super Bass-Nicki Minaj feat. Daiana Menezes, Mark Cadapan, and Friends
Talk about going beyond the call of duty!
Daiana Menezes continues to surprise me. For a woman of her stature she sure knows how to have fun---even at her expense! I guess she's just living up to her aspiration to establishing herself as a sexy comediane. But Daiana's life is not centered on herself and her success. She is a loyal friend with a heart so kind that when a fan seeks assistance for a school assignment she goes beyond her busy schedule to lend a helping hand!
Daiana and my wife's nephew Mark some two years ago at a fan's day and have become close ever since. I also met Daiana during this time which I wrote about in another blog http://nonomaca.blogspot.com/2011/04/daiana-menezes-beautiful-lady-with.html. Me and my wife met with Mark's mom yesterday and she told us how Daiana helped Mark with his project. This was all in my imagination until Mark shared the video on my Facebook wall this morning. It really made my day so much that I just had to write this blog entry.
I know of some famous people who would charge for their autograph not knowing that it is the fans that are giving them their business but Daiana is a different breed of celebrity. No wonder she is so blessed with so many gigs.

Everyday Lessons from Gloc9 and Daiana Meneses
I bumped into Aris "Gloc9" Pollisco and his lovely wife Teegi this morning at SM Hypermart and got to chit-chat while waiting our turn at the counter.
Gloc9, together with Parokya ni Edgar, were in a successful North American tour a month ago. For many of us from the outside looking in, it was a WOW thing. It's like, "Wow! Sarap nyo naman! North American tour!" But what we do not know is how hard the life of an entertainer really is---show, travel, show, travel, show---barely able to rest and do anything else in order to fulfill the commitment to entertain. Performing sick is part of the job hazard and as the entertainment saying goes, "The show must go on."
Like Gloc9, Daiana Meneses is also living the seemingly glamorous life of an entertainer. I saw her yesterday at the Bumper to Bumper Car Show and she seemed vibrant and accommodating amidst the suffocating mob of fans who either wanted her autograph or her picture. I took a video of her http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBMTF2EC6qo&feature=youtu.be and posted it on her Facebook wall to which she graciously replied to with a short "kwento" as to the sleepless days of touring the different parts of the country prior to the event.
These are people who we envy and look up to. However, their life is not all that glamorous as we thought it is. They are dedicated people making a living. Many of us are like this except that we're only famous in our own little circle. If we are envious of their fame, many of them crave for the simple life away from the kleig lights and public scrutiny. Well, we are dealt with different hands in this game of life. How we react to what we have is a matter of ATTITUDE.
Gloc9 and Daiana are good examples of people who love their work and are willing to go beyond the call of duty to make good in their craft. Not only are they entertainers but also role models worth emulating.

Daiana Menezes: A Beautiful Lady with an Equally Beautiful Heart
Show business people can sometimes be snobbish---well, not this lady!
Thank you to the nephew of my wife I got the chance to meet face to face with Ms. Daiana Menezes during her mini get together with Tweet-mates at the Diana Stalder Derm Clinic @ Edsa Central. Actually, I begged him to let me join the entourage and offered to become his official photographer. Tweet, tweet, tweet and I was in!
Daiana's "buddies" were teenage ladies and boys---fans who were surprised that Daiana obliged to their invite for a meet. You can just see how much they were at awe with her down to earth attitude with them as if they were long lost friends. She initiated picture taking, gave them hugs and kisses, and indulged in small talk with the dumbfounded fans. Daiana's show of affection really overwhelmed them! Me, I tried my darnest to be non-chalant about it but truth be known, I was numb to my senses when I was introduced to her. She offered her hand and I shook it. A kiss would have been welcome seeing her abounding friendliness towards everyone but I froze and lost the opportunity. Not like me at all (and it has nothing to do with my wife being there). But it was like seeing Aprodite in person and you just can't help but stare and be at awe! Oh come on, give me a break---I don't get to meet gorgeous Brazilian models on a daily basis, do I? However, what topped it all off was that she acted like an ordinary person having fun with friends. No prima donna attitude. She even ate bbq like any other. I guess that trait of hers is her most endearing quality.
Personally, I had fun just taking pictures and bathing in her beauty but I'm sure the young ones had a real blast as Daiana prepared food, drinks and an afternoon of SPA-ing with her.
More power Ms. Menezes! Stay as sweet as you are!
