David Weatherly's "Black Eyed Children," Revised
Available now is a new, revised edition of David Weatherly's 2012 book, Black Eyed Children. Here are the opening words to my review of the new edition:
"Back in 2012, David Weatherly’s then-much-awaited book, Black Eyed Children was published. So, you may well ask, why am I mentioning this now, six years later? The answer is simple: Just recently, David decided to put out a new version of the book, a revised 2nd edition, and which has a cool cover courtesy of Sam Shearon. If you aren’t fully conversant with the BEC phenomenon, the sub-title to the new edition will give you a good idea of what you can expect in its 240 pages: “The B.E.K.s – They Reside On The Fringes Of The Paranormal. Are They A Diabolical Threat, Or The stuff Of Urban Legend?”
"As I have noted in several of my books and articles over the years, the Black Eyed Children are, in many ways, similar to the Men in Black (no, not the Will Smith-Tommy Lee Jones type. The very weird, pale, cadaverous and creepy types are the ones I mean). The BEC so often turn up at night, knock on peoples’ doors and do their absolute utmost to try and get an invite inside. Fortunately, most people get a distinctly weird and creepy vibe from the BEC, something which generally ensures the 'kids' don’t manage to get into the home of the targeted person. On occasion, however, some unfortunate souls have seen exactly what the BEC are capable of when they succeed in getting inside."

Men in Black Gloves
There's a new article from me at Mysterious Universe which adds a new component to the Men in Black mystery. Here's how it starts...
In September of last year, I wrote an article here at Mysterious Universe titled “Men in Black…Cloaks.” It began as follows (QUOTE): “There’s no doubt in my mind that when it comes to the matter of the Men in Black, there is a direct connection between these menacing characters and a wealth of other supernatural phenomena. That includes the Hat-Man, the Shadow People, the Black-Eyed Children, and the Women in Black. All of these entities are definitively sinister in nature and should be avoided at all costs. And, to a degree, they even mirror each other.
“The Black-Eyed Children, for example, parallel the MIB when it comes to trying to find their way into homes, usually late at night. The MIB and the Hat-Man are both known for their old-style fedoras. The Women in Black are the absolute female counterparts of the MIB, even down to the pale, overly-smooth skin. And there are more than a few reports on record of Shadow People wearing fedoras. This leads me to believe all of these ‘things’ are manifestations of one phenomenon, albeit in different (but not too different) guises. There is, however, yet another entity that falls into this particular category. It’s one that I have a few reports on, but which often gets overlooked when it comes to the MIB connection. We’re talking about ‘Men in Black Cloaks.'” (END OF QUOTE)
Well, now there’s yet another sub-category to add to all of the creepy characters described above: “Men in Black Gloves.”

Black Eyed Children: Kids of the MIB?
That's the subject of a new Mysterious Universe article from me...
Here's how it starts...
Just a few nights ago, I was interviewed by a UK-based radio-show on my recently published book, Men in Black: Personal Stories and Eerie Adventures. During the course of the interview, the host asked me if I realized there seemed to be a deep connection – as well as profound similarities – between the infamous MIB and one of the creepiest mysteries of the 21st century. Namely, the Black Eyed Children. Well, yes, I did know!
There can be very few people within the field of paranormal research who have not heard of the BEC. But, the MIB parallels might be new to some. In the same way that the Men in Black wear black suits and black fedoras, the Black Eyed Children often wear black hoodies. So, we have a black outfit and black head-gear present in both phenomena. Both the MIB and the BEC very often surface late at night. Trying to convince people to let them into their homes is one of the most chilling aspects of the activities of both the MIB and the BEC. And they are very good – almost too good – at making their escape. But, certainly, no-one has done more to highlight the MIB-BEC connections and parallels than David Weatherly, whose 2012 book, The Black Eyed Children, is essential reading.

Black-Eyed Children, Men in Black, and a T-Shirt
If you've read David Weatherly's ultra-creepy book, Black-Eyed Children (which is definitely a great read for Halloween!), you'll want the BEC t-shirt too, which is now available. (David's website linked here).
David sent me one and here it is.
And you can find an update on the BEC from David in my latest book, Men in Black. It's a paper that runs to 18 pages and which notes the deep similarities between the MIB and the BEC.

MIB, Black-Eyed Children, and "Rosemary's Baby"
There's a new 2-part article from me at the Mysterious Universe website on the Men in Black and my new book on the subject.
The article focuses on the matter of the 1968 movie, Rosemary's Baby.
It's a strange story that also involves the Black-Eyed Children controversy.
Here's part 1 and here's part-2.

John Keel: Ahead of His Time
There's another new Mysterious Universe article from me.
This one on how John Keel, way back in the 1960s and 1970s, was talking about certain aspects of the UFO phenomenon/alien abduction controversy that most people weren't even thinking about until the 1980s.
We're talking about abducted women, hybrid babies, and even the Black-Eyed Children...

The Black Eyed Children: New Report
Well, there's a new development in the saga of the Black Eyed Children: a creepy report from right in the heart of England's Cannock Chase, just a short drive from where I used to live. As some of you may know, the Cannock Chase has been a hotbed of all kinds of paranormal weirdness for decades.

David Weatherly's Strange Intruders
If, like me, you thought that David Weatherly's Black Eyed Children was a great book, you definitely won't want to miss his forthcoming title, Strange Intruders, which includes a foreword from Micah Hanks.
It's not listed at Amazon yet, but keep a look out for it...
That's David, below, photographed by me at last October's Paradigm Symposium in Minneapolis.
