Pre-Christmas Festivities

Our sweet neighbor, Patti, taught us how to make snowmen out of cake balls.

 Decorated our Christmas tree that we cut down.

Visited Santa at the Riverwoods. Nixon asked Santa for a "tanker truck and masks." Vann knows who Santa is but did not know what to say when Santa asked him what he wants for Christmas.

Watched the lights "dance" to the music on Center Street in Downtown Provo.

Made our own ginger bread nativities.

Pinkie Promise

On Tuesday I was feeling pretty crappy. You can read about it here. However, Nixon was such a sweetheart that day. He brought me tissues and pinkie promised that he would be a good boy while I was sick. I love him. I think I'll keep him.

Bennion Family Christmas Tree

Last year some friends invited us to get a permit and cut down our very own Christmas tree. It was so much fun we decided to make it a tradition. This year was great because there was still snow up in the mountains for the kids to play in but it wasn't nearly as cold. We go with our friends Katie and Andy Aston (kids: Zach, Hazel), and Lindsay and Noah Garret (kids: Wyatt, Riley, Bear, Scout).

We met our house early for breakfast (waffles, and omelets) then we headed up the mountains that our South of Heber. Nixon got car sick on the way up and puked so he was wearing wet, puke smelling clothes...blah! But once we got there and got out he was fine and had so much fun playing with his friends. Vann does not love the snow. We put him in back pack and Nic hiked around with him. He liked that best. While the adults hike around looking for the perfect tree, the kids made slides down the snowy hills.

We all found great trees to put in our homes for Christmas and made wonderful memories while doing it. After we hauled the trees to the truck we enjoyed some hot cocoa before heading out of the mountains.

Where have I been?

So, let's be honest. I totally gave up on this blog. But I am feeling so terribly guilty right now because this is a Journal. This is my family history. I need to this, I must do this. I am going to make a commitment to be better at this. I am so impressed with all of my friends and family that have continued their blogs. You are amazing! Life get's busy. And I've had a million excuses but I know that keeping a journal is important. So I will be back on here again. I wonder if anyone reads this anymore? Oh well, someone will, someday...and that's what matters. As of late, I started a new blog too. So now you can read this one and my other one, Sexy and Sane. I hope you enjoy. The kids will be waking up from naps soon. So this is all for now. Thank you for reading!
