47/365 - Happy Chap Goh Mei

Every festive season is meant for gathering with loved ones. For me who has been away from home, I am blessed with a bunch of friends who warm my heart when it comes to food and fun!

I'd bid goodbye to CNY gambling since I born again 11 years ago but I'd a bad breakthrough today. It was a kind of socialism that if I say no, the crowd would be disappointed so I agreed, to be the dealer some more. Won 16 bucks in total and paid back Ernest who lost 10 bucks, so nett win 6 bucks.

Time to confess...

Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

45/365 - Happy Valentine's day

I am oncall today and hence no celebration.
Neither do I have chocholate, flowers, teddy bear nor candle light dinner.
Fish Leong once sang in the song 分手快乐:    "其实爱对了人情人节每天都过..."
Happy Valentine's day to all!

Matt 6:28 So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin.

43/365 - Pregnancy through fish eye mode

Cousin, Teng was asking me why her tummy appeared small as compared to other at 4+ months pregnancy. Look what my brother did with the fish eye mode on the camera!

Oh by the way, I am thinking of getting a DSLR camera, what say you?

42/365 - Genting Highlands

I do not have very good impression towards Genting Highlands. Probably because I used to go there too often when I was young, and it never get away from the relation with gambling. This CNY eve, with very little exception, we went again as the accommodation was free of charge.

It wasn't fun, seriously. Not because of the place, but the companion. It was no longer a reunion as most of my family members were away. That was sad.

41/365 - CNY greetings?

Went back home and saw two same greeting letters attached with free ang pow packets addressed to me and my brother respectively. I seriously agreed that the fund for printing ang pows packets and the so-called coloured message of greetings should have put to better use e.g. buying for goods and food for the old folks etc. On top of that, it would be so ridiculous to have used those ang pow packets and hence, to the dustbin they'll go.

Oh my Malaysia...

40/365 - This CNY eve

Reunion this year isn't fun as half of our family members are away. Thanks to the technology era that we are still able to unite via the web. It was mum busy showing us around her snowy housing estate in the middle of the night!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! May you have a joyous get together with family members and friends. Do treasure the reunion moment :)

39/365 - US VISA, approved!

People said it is hard for Asian like us to have our US VISA approved. Probably because, firstly we, the Malaysian are closely related to the terrorist. Secondly, a lot of so-called tourist 'jump the plane' off to work illegally, particularly Chinese.

The first time I went to apply a US VISA 4 years ago, I'd gotten a lot of advices on how to provide false documents or cheat through. But of course, the US embassy interviewers weren't born yesterday. They knew the cunning side of an interviewee exactly. Hence, after much sweet talks and excuses finding, I was granted only a 2-years VISA compared to Ernest, who went with an unpolluted sincere heart, a 10-years VISA.

This second time around, I learned my lesson. Taadaah! A 10 years VISA. All praise be to God!

37/365 - Little children

I like seeing the happiness on their faces. So sincere, so pure.

37/365 - Little children

Matt 18:3-5 Assuredly I said to you, unless you are converted and become a little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as his little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives me.

34/365 - Wei's registration of marriage

Blessed marriage to both of you :)

34/365 - Wei's registration of marriage

1 Cor 13: 4-5
Love suffers long and is kind;
love does not envy;
love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely,
does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hope all things, endures all things.

33/365 - I'm home

The obvious signs of home coming:
I see the jungle of concrete
More Indians on the road
I smell exhaust
Slow moving traffic
And most importantly, my family members!

We were shopping around with my two big luggages!

32/365 - Passion fruit flower

32/365 - Passion fruit flower

Ps 103:15-18
As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he fluorishes.
For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children's children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And those who remember His commandments to do them.
