Disney Store Offers, Twitter, and Upcoming Posts

Hey everyone! Hope your week is going well. Mine is great, but crazy! ;)

The good news is, I found my camera! :D I hope to have my promised Rosabella Beauty review up by the end of this week, and I'm working on some other posts to publish, too.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I decided to open a Twitter account again. I'm trying to delve slowly into the world of Twitter, but I post YouTube and blog updates there along with a few other things. You can see my Twitter account HERE.

I also wanted to let you Disney fans know that there are a few great promotions on the Disney Store website right now. There are some items that are 40% off in an online-exclusive sale. Just use the promo code KACHOW. The sale items include the live action Cinderella dolls, some of the singing dolls, a few DAC dolls, and more. You can see all of the items HERE. This promotion lasts until Thursday of this week.

Also, there is free shipping with the purchase of any Disney Parks item, good until Wednesday, when you use the promo code PARKFREE. Check out all of the Disney Parks items HERE.

Happy Shopping, everyone! I'll be back soon with another review. :)

EBay Listings

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful three-day weekend with your families. :)

I just wanted to let you know that I've got several eBay listings up (twenty-three, to be exact). ;) I'm finding the need to downsize a bit, as my space is pretty limited. I'm also trying to earn some extra money so Hubby can cut back on his second job.

You can see all of my listings HERE.

I'm working on another post for later this week. Talk to you again then!

(Sorry I'm a bit behind on comments, too. That's my other project for the week.) :)

A Few EBay Listings Up and Other Randomness

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to let you know that I'm starting to sift through some of my thrift store rescues and list them on eBay.  I have a Sasha Gregor doll, a Hearts For Hearts Girls Mosi, and G4 My Little Pony Minty, a couple of Moxie Teenz, and a couple of other things up.  You can see everything I have listed HERE.  (One of my readers had a problem viewing my items, so HERE'S a link to one of my auctions.  After viewing it, you should be able to see everything else by clicking the "view seller's other items" link.  Please let me know if anyone else has a problem viewing my items.)

One of the things I love the most about thrifting is finding something unique that I might not otherwise have ever come into contact with.  By far, my most exciting thrift store find this past month was the Sasha Gregor doll I found in the toy aisle of Goodwill.

He was a bit dirty and dressed in a really ugly outfit made from a brown sock with holes cut in it for arm holes, but I recognized him immediately (and tried not to squeal in the middle of the store). ;)  I had just recently restrung two Sashas for a fellow doll club member, so Sashas were a bit more on my radar than they might have been otherwise.

I'm not all that familiar with the Sasha line, but after doing some online research and talking to one of my doll club ladies, (Oh, fiddlesticks, I still need to do that post about my doll club meetings!  Sorry, Mark Patraw!) I was able to find out a little bit more about them.

I found out that the Sasha dolls were produced both by Gotz company in Germany and by a company in England called Trendon Ltd (it sounds like the company was originally called Frido).  I also discovered that the way you can tell whether you have a Gotz or a Trendon Sasha is to check the doll's head.  The Gotz dolls have a "Sasha" mark on them, while the Trendon dolls have no distinguishing marks.  The Gotz dolls were produced from 1965-1970 and then again from 1995-2001.  The Trendon dolls were produced from 1966-1986.

There were a couple of fun facts I discovered about the Sasha line in general, too.  For instance, did you know that the Sasha dolls were produced in a tannish-brown color because their creator (also named Sasha) did not want the dolls to represent any specific race?  The dolls were also made with asymmetrical facial features to make them more like real children.  They were flat-footed so they could stand on their own, and could even balance upside-down in a headstand position.

The Gregor I found can still do a headstand, even though his arms are a bit loose.

The male dolls like mine were called "Gregor".  There were also baby dolls and African American dolls produced.

There's more I could share about Sasha, but I need to wrap things up and get my girls ready for bed. ;)   I found a lot of useful pages online about Sashas.   If you'd like to do more research yourself, you can see a couple of them HERE and HERE. :)  And here are a couple more helpful sites:

sashadoll.com

sashadolluk.co.uk

Thank you so much to Serenata for sharing these links! :)  I think I actually found the sashadoll.com one in my earlier research.  I hope these help all of you find even more information on this line. :)

I was really torn about letting go of my Gregor.  On the one hand, it was very exciting to find such a normally expensive doll at the thrift store.  (Full disclosure: I found him for $4.99.  I did a starting bid of $29.99 because if he doesn't sell for at least that much, I'll very happily keep him.  I didn't feel I should start him any higher because I got him for such a low price, especially since Goodwill wrote the price on his leg and I couldn't get it all the way off.) :(  But the thing is, I have so many other dolls and toys I'm already collecting, I really don't need to branch out into yet another line.  I'm starting to run out of room!  Gregor is cute, but I'm not as into Sashas as I am into other lines.

My other motivation for finding Gregor a new home is that I'm trying to save up for a writers conference next spring.  My goal is to get my book finished by the end of December and then spend the next few months editing it.  The conference I hope to attend (Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference in California) would give me an opportunity to meet with agents and editors who might be interested in my work. :D

Because the conference is extremely expensive, I'm going to try to slow down on doll purchases and try to earn a little extra to set aside.  I don't know if going this next year will be a financial possibility, but I'd like to try.  If it doesn't work out for 2015, I'll aim for 2016.  Maybe by then I will have finished my second book, too (I have four planned for the series).

While we're on this subject, one of my goals this month has been to try to work on my book for at least one hour every weekday.  The success of that goal has been varied, but I've definitely been typing more on my story than I would have if I wasn't making the attempt. ;)

So if my posting seems more sporadic or distracted in the next couple of months, that's one of the reasons. ;)

Okay, so enough of that randomness!  All that to say, I've got some eBay listings up, things might be sporadic, but I'll have another post up this week! ;)

Hope you all had a nice Monday!  Talk to you soon!

Frozen Coronation Dolls on JC Penney's Website

Hey everyone!  I'm in the middle of working on my next Frozen mini dolls post...it should be up either later today or tomorrow.  In the meantime, I thought you'd like to know that the JC Penney's website currently has a set of Elsa and Anna dolls in their coronation dresses for just $25!  The dolls do not have articulated arms like the Disney Store dolls, and their dresses are a bit simplified, but they have identical face paint to their Disney Store counterparts, and they're a lot cheaper than the Deluxe set that was offered at the Disney Store earlier this year.  Even better, shipping is free when you have them ship your order to your local JC Penney's store.

You can see the doll set HERE.

Unfortunately, there is no International shipping, so this won't help my readers from outside the US.  Sorry about that. :(

I'd like to thank Holly of Hollys Dollys on Facebook for initially bringing this to my attention. :)

Happy Shopping! ;)

Frozen Restock...Mostly Sold Out

Hey guys!  There's some Frozen merchandise restocked on Disneystore.com.  Unfortunately, the dolls are already sold out. :(  I thought I'd still bring it up in case there were any other things any of you wanted to add to your collection.  You can see everything that's left HERE.  I don't think I need to tell you to act quickly if you want anything. :}

I'm a little bit bummed that I missed out on the Deluxe set YET AGAIN, but it's probably good.  I really don't need to spend that much on the set, especially since all I want is the two dolls in their coronation dresses. ;)

Happy Shopping!

EAH Holly and Poppy O'Hair available on Amazon.com

Calling all Ever After High fans!  If you're interested in snagging Rapunzel's twin daughters, they're currently on Amazon.com for $34.99 with free shipping on orders of $35 or more.  (So yes, you do have to find something that costs at least one cent to get the free shipping.) :}

Because there is such variation in the face paint on these dolls, I'm going to wait until I can see them in person and hand-pick a set.  But if you're too impatient to wait, you can get yours HERE. :)

Happy Shopping!

Thank you to Flickr.com member ForeverYoung101 for bringing this to my attention. :)

EBay Listings, a Quick Hello, and More Mosi ;)

Hi all! :)  Hope everyone is having a good day.

First things first.  Merida wanted to say hello. ;)

As some of you might remember, "Brave" wasn't my favorite movie (I didn't hate it or anything, but there were definitely some things about it that I found disappointing).  That being said, when I found this cutie at Goodwill this morning, she practically begged me to take her home.  She promised to be on her best behavior.  And doesn't she look adorable perched up there on my computer tower? ;)

Her hair is a little messy, but to be honest I think it's pretty movie accurate that way, don't you? ;)

Okay, but that's not the real reason I wrote a post today. ;)  I wanted to let all of you know that I have two eBay listings up for those of you who are interested.  The first is my original Hearts For Hearts Girls Mosi doll, and the second is the Batman outfit from my Batman Taeyang doll (his review will be up later this week).  You can see both listings HERE

For those of you who are curious, I basically bought the Taeyang doll because he was a good price and I liked that he had a more masculine face than some of the other Taeyangs I've seen out there.  I don't mind Batman, but I'm more of a Marvel heroes type myself, so I figured I'd pass the Batman outfit on and try to regain some of what I spent. :}

The Mosi I'm listing is the original Mosi I ordered from Amazon.  I had a difficult time bonding with her from the beginning.  Her bangs were much shorter than the promo photos, and her hair, while still nice and silky, looked stringier than I was expecting.

Then, earlier this month, I saw another Mosi at my local Target, and I completely fell in love.  Her hair was much softer and her bangs were longer.  She is the one featured in my previous post.  I thought I'd share a few photos comparing the two so you could all see the differences (this won't necessarily help to promote the sale of my first Mosi...but that's okay). ;)

Here are my two Mosis.  My new Mosi is on the left, and my original Mosi is on the right.  What strikes me at once is the difference in their hair.  I also think that New Mosi has a rosier complexion.

New Mosi's fuller hair and longer bangs give her a soft, sweet look.

While Old Mosi is cute too, her bangs look like someone got carried away with the scissors, and her hair lacks the body of New Mosi's.

It was difficult to capture on film, but I also noticed that New Mosi's bangs were cut from a smaller section of hair...

...while Old Mosi's were taken from just about the entire front half of her head.  I think this makes a huge difference in the appearance, too.

Here is a side view of the two (New Mosi still on the left, Old Mosi on the right).

Here's a look at their hair from the back.  You can see the differences in shine, body, and curl.

New Mosi

Old Mosi

A view from the other side.

So, long story short, both are cute, but New Mosi far outshines Old Mosi in my opinion.  Just the difference of her bangs and hair make her look much more like the stunning prototype doll we all fell in love with.  It amazes me how much I LOVE Mosi now.  Before, I had pretty much come to the conclusion that I didn't need a Mosi just because I found her so disappointing.

New Mosi is sooo photogenic! :)

So, I probably pretty much ruined my chances of any of you bidding on my older Mosi doll, but that's okay. :}  I felt it was important to show the differences.  To be perfectly honest, my recommendation (if possible) would be to purchase a Mosi that you've seen an actual photo of to ensure you're getting one you like.  Finding a Mosi with better hair made all the difference in the world for me. :)

Okay, new posts coming later this week! :)  The posts I actually talked about.  Honest. ;)  For now, I have dinner to fix, girls to bathe, and my local writers meeting to go to. :D

Hope you all have a great week!

More EBay Listings

Whew!!  What a day!  I spent most of it organizing Middle Gal and Little Gal's room (a job LONG overdue).  It looks a lot better now, but we still have a bit to go. ;)

I didn't end up doing the Lalaloopsy Workshop doll review since I was able to publish my doll bean bag chair review, so look for the Lala review on Monday. :)

I did manage to get some of my eBay listings up.  My goal is to get several more listings done tomorrow afternoon after church.  HERE'S what I have up so far, though.

We have one last week to cram in the MLP/Lalaloopsy fun. ;)  I hope you've enjoyed the month as much as I have. :)

Have a great Sunday, everyone!  Talk to you again soon...

EBay Listings Started

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to let you know that I started my eBay listings.  I had planned to have several more up by now, but my computer and eBay are not working together very well today. :}

I did manage to get four listings up, and there will be more to follow later this evening and tomorrow afternoon.  I am not doing any "Buy it Now" options so that everyone who wants to gets a chance to bid.  You can see all of my listings HERE. :)

Have a great weekend! :)

A Few EBay Listings Up

Well, it's that time of year again...time to get rid of a few extra doll and toy related items. :)  This is the first of several weekends where I'll have things listed on eBay.  If you're interested in taking a peek, you can see everything I have for sale HERE.

This week is going to be pretty busy for me.  In addition to my art class, I'll be filling in at the school office for one of the ladies who is gone this week.  I'm hoping to get some posts done tonight and have them scheduled for this week, but I'll just have to see how that goes.  Getting myself and the girls ready for the week is my priority. ;)

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. :)

Mosi, Shola, and Lauryce News...

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to let you know that Mosi, Shola, and Lauryce are in stock right now at Amazon.com.  If it's anything like last time, they could be gone in a few hours, so if you've been waiting for these, you'll want to snag them now.

You can find Mosi HERE.

You can find Shola HERE.

You can find Lauryce HERE.

Happy shopping, and see you in a week! :)

New EBay Listings Up

Okay, I managed to get my eBay listings up.  I have some Moxie Teenz, Liv dolls, My Little Ponies, and Lalaloopsies up, as well as a pre-Mattel Samantha meet dress.  You can see all of the listings HERE.

Tomorrow is Little Gal's family party.  After our week of colds a few weeks back, we discovered some of the fun shows on Disney Junior.  One of Little Gal's favorites was Jake and the Never Land Pirates, so we'll be having a piratey cake, a first in this household! :)  I'll be sure to share some pictures.

We're also going to be on chocolate overload.  Little Gal requested chocolate cake with chocolate frosting...and chocolate ice cream, of course. ;)  A girl after my own heart.  Or at least, the way I was as a kid.  These days I prefer a little more variety (mint chip or cookies and cream are my flavors of choice). ;)

I'm still working on my other posts but most likely won't have them up until Monday at the earliest.  Tomorrow is all about church and Little Gal. :)

Hey guys...just another quick post.  I've managed to get the majority of my stuff up on eBay, but I still have about 15-17 more listings to go.  Our family has caught a bad flu bug, so I probably won't get the rest of the items listed until tomorrow, as I need to be nursemaid to my little gals. ;)

I wanted to mention things specifically since some items have Buy it Now prices (I already sold 2 items shortly after they were put up).

So, without further ado, here's everything that's up:

-Disney Classic Belle and Beast dolls (those of you who follow "Belle's Bulletins" know them as Marguerite and Raoul)

-A brunette Corolle doll with 3 non-original outfits

Sigh...still so much to list.  I'll get things up as quickly as I can. ;)  If you have any questions about any of the items, you can comment or email me (nevergrowup.beastsbelle@gmail.com).  Talk to you later!

A Quick Hello and EBay Auctions

Hi everyone!  I hope you're all having a wonderful 2013. :)  I just wanted to say "hi" and give you a few little updates.

Today I finally got a chance to start my eBay listings.  This week has been one of those non-stop ones where I've had somewhere to be every day. :}  I'll be working on listing everything over the next few days, so keep checking back for new listings.  HERE'S what I have so far, though.

And yes, I am selling a Pullip doll outfit.  I wanted to mention that specifically because I wanted to let those of you who are Pullip fans know about the amazing deal I found.  My Tuesday Morning is currently carrying the Pullip/Dal/Taeyang Peter Pan series of dolls for $39.99 each!!  My store had Tinkerbell (a Dal), Captain Hook (a Taeyang), and Peter Pan (a Pullip...yes...a female one).  After doing some research online, I found out that there was also a Tiger Lily that was a Byul doll.

I've been researching a bit about Pullip dolls for a while and thought that they might be a nice doll line to try in the distant future (since they were way out of my price range).  Meanwhile, I got a couple of gift cards for Christmas, and when I wandered into Tuesday Morning, I knew what I would spend them on! ;)  So I now have a Pullip doll.  I'll be sharing a review of her once I'm "officially" back, but I thought I'd share one piccy with you now to tide you over:

Isn't she adorable?! :D (The Mattel Rapunzel dress was the only one I had on hand that fit okay.)

Anyway, I wanted to be sure I mentioned this since I know there are a lot of Pullip fans out there.  Paying $39.99 for one instead of $119.99 is much nicer, don't you think? ;)  Of course, not every Tuesday Morning has the same things in stock, but my hope is that at least a few of you have these in your stores too.

Talk to all of you again in a week or so...I'm brainstorming and planning like crazy for my new, improved site! :)

Last of the EBay Stuff...

Okay guys, this is the last time I'll bring up my eBay listings.  The only reason I'm bringing it up again tonight is because I added a few last-minute things, including some auctions with "Buy it Now" options.  I'm frantically trying to clear out the last of my extras before or right after Thanksgiving...no December sales for me this year, thank you very much! ;)

There are a few things ending in an hour or so, including my Disney Princess and Me Belle that I recently purchased.  She's super pretty, but I'm really having a hard time with her stringing issues (her head and leg are not working properly).  I thought I'd try passing her on to someone who can fix her up and enjoy her to the fullest.

Also ending tonight are a lot of American Girl/Pleasant Company Grin Pins and Mini Grin Pins, a mini Josefina frame from Hallmark, an American Girl Angelina Ballerina chair, and a lot of two American Girl books.

Ending later in the week are a Moxie Teenz Leigh doll, a LIV "Making Waves" Jake doll, a lot of Princess party stuff (including a NIB Disney Store Cinderella 12" doll from 2011), and a blonde haired, blue eyed Alexander Girlz doll with part of her original outfit.

You can see everything HERE.

Tonight, I'm busy packaging all of the sales from this weekend (and don't worry, Emma Kate...your Consuelo doll is packaged and ready to go, too...she should be shipped out tomorrow). :)

Okay, that's all for tonight.  Talk to you guys again soon, but NOT about eBay. ;)

MOTHER GOTHEL IS NOT AMUSED...

...and she has informed me in no uncertain terms that whoever had the audacity to dress her in such ridiculous get-up and then ABANDON her with a group of pathetic, castoff toys at Goodwill shall SURELY PAY for her crimes!!

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.  I mean, finding Mother Gothel in this outfit with that disgusted sneer on her face...hee hee.

Okay, in all seriousness, I wanted to let you guys know that I finally got my act together and got some eBay listings up, which just so happen to include Miss Vengeful herself.  Eugene and Rapunzel would never forgive me if I actually kept a Mother Gothel doll.  And yes, I realize that there will likely be a target on my back as well now. ;)  I tried to explain to her that I was going to find her a good home where she wouldn't feel the need to wreak havoc on everyone's lives, but she would hear none of it.

Anyway, I have several eBay listings, but there are also some items I decided to list on AGPlaythings to avoid all of the eBay listing fees. :}  Since some of the things I listed there were items that some of you expressed an interest in (including my Hearts 4 Hearts Lauryce doll), I thought I'd try a little experiment.  I'm providing a link to the Picasa album that has pictures of all of the non-eBay items I'm selling.  So click HERE to see everything.

Now, here's the deal.  For non-eBay transactions, I accept Paypal only.  In order to use Paypal, you must have a Paypal account (just thought I'd mention this to save you some headaches later on).  You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from me (for your safety as well as mine). If you're younger than 18, you will need to have a parent or grandparent purchase for you using their Paypal account.  Also, I am not able to do International shipping at this time, so these items are only available for those of you in the US (sorry to all of my International readers!).  Also, all prices do NOT include shipping.

If you see an item you're interested in, or if you have any questions about an item, please email me at nevergrowup.beastsbelle@gmail.com.  It would also be helpful if you could email me your zip code so that I can estimate what shipping will be.  All items are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and have already been listed on AGPlaythings, so I cannot guarantee that everything you want will be available.  However, I will do my best to update the album as things sell.

And while you're at it, be sure to check out my eBay listings, too!  You can see all of them HERE.  I have lots of great stuff, including some nude Barbies for OOAK projects, happy meal toys, tons of LIV dolls, a Princess Luna pony, a TLC Moxie Teenz doll, and more.

And of course, Mother Gothel is waiting there too.  So if any of you have been wanting a delightfully evil diva to add to your collection for a reasonable price, here's your chance! ;)  However, she will not be in her current garb.  She will actually be without clothing.

Which brings me to my last point.  I have to apologize ahead of time for the large number of naked fashion dolls in my eBay listings.  I just flat out didn't have enough clothing to go around this time.  Sorry if this offends any of my readers. :{

P.S.  Wowee!!!  I just looked at my stats and saw that I've officially gone over 200.000 pageviews!! :D  You guys are awesome. :)

Lots of eBay Listings Up

Hey guys!  Just wanted to let you know that I have 16 eBay listings up, ending next Sunday afternoon.  There are some Disney dolls, some BFC Inks (2 Kaitlins, Aleisha, Gianna, and CJ-the boy doll), two Ashton Drake baby dolls, a My Twinn Cuddly Sisters Mei Mei, one of my Liv dolls, a Moxie Teenz Arizona doll, and some My Little Pony stuff.

Basically, I did a lot of impulse shopping this past month (although some of the things I'm listing I've had set aside to resell for a while).  I've had my fun, and now I need to pay for it...or something like that (why am I suddenly thinking of Pinnochio?). ;)  Anyway, I wanted to let you know because I thought some of you might be interested.

The BFC Inks were the hardest to part with, but I have way too many and I originally bought some of them for the purpose of reselling...or so I told myself. ;)  So now I'm making myself follow through.

Some of the dolls have blog reviews in draft right now, so I'm hoping to get some of those posted this week (amidst the conclusion of my Blogoversary stuff) so that you guys can see a little more info on the things I'm selling.

Here's a link to my eBay items:  http://www.ebay.com/sch/kaynesrose/m.html?hash=item232073190a&item=150868269322&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2562

Happy shopping! ;)

P.S.  I ended up having to end a listing early (the BFC Ink lot with Kaitlin and Addison).  Earlier on, Oldest Gal had been interested in purchasing her from me, but recently she'd talked about saving up for two Hearts 4 Hearts Girls instead.  So, since she seemed to not be interested in Addison anymore, I listed her.  Turns out that Oldest Gal was okay without an Addison as long as there was one in the house.  When she found out that Addison was being sold, she dissolved into a puddle of tears and wept dramatically on her bed in true Disney Princess fashion. ;)  She wasn't throwing a fit...it was more like she was crushed and heartbroken.  (Come on gals, you remember doing the same thing when you were younger, don't you?  Hey, on a bad enough day, I've been known to do it at age 30!) ;)

So I could have just said "tough potatoes" and let her get on with life.  But honestly, the only reason I listed Addison was because I was no longer interested in her and Oldest Gal didn't appear to be either.  My original plan had been to keep her until Oldest Gal could afford her.

Since there weren't any bids on that lot yet, I swapped Gianna for Addison and added a few things.  I hate doing that, because I know it's frustrating to my bidders.  But in this case, I felt it was the right thing to do.

Anyway, just thought I'd offer a bit of explanation for the change in the listing. :}

New Page Added

Hi everyone!  Just wanted to let you know I've added yet another new page.  As sad as it is, I'm running out of room in my little house and need to pay school and credit card bills.  So, that means I have to part with some of my Beauty and the Beast collection.  :(

The good news is, my loss is your gain!  Check out my new For Sale Page and see if there's anything you'd like to add to your own collection! :)  I'm planning on updating it with new items periodically.

I have more information, including payment details, on the page.  Happy shopping! :)
