Three challenges

Hi Friends,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Anyone have any exciting plans? We're having a beautiful crisp fall day, and we're busy doing things around the house. Carlin is preparing to teach tomorrow at church, and I've been picking up, running errands. I hope to get in some crafty time. I have a list of "to-dos," so I hope to mark some of those off the list.
Today's card actually meets the requirements for 3, yes, 3 challenges!! I am so excited because I've not played with many challenges lately (except the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" challenge.) It meets the Color Throwdown #63 (see swatch below), the Moxie Fab Gradient is Radiant, and the Cardvaarks Ribbon challenge.
I played with my Copics again to color in the flower, and then I stitched the ribbon by hand using some DMC floss after tacking down the ribbon down in an accordian fold using some red line tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I would love to hear your latest plans :)

Color Throwdown 47

Hi Friends,

I am so excited to be participating in this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. The colors for this week's challenge were Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise, and Kiwi Kiss. I love these colors, so I'm really glad I could play along.
For my card, I brought out my beloved Birdwatching set. I had given it a break for a few days, so it was time to get it out again ;) The novelty still hasn't worn off of this set yet. I just love it.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and then colored with my Stampin' Up markers and ink pads. Coloring is so much fun!

We've done a lot of chores today. It's always good to mark some things off the to-do list. I think we are going to grill out tonight and watch a movie. I love Saturday nights!

Enjoy your weekend!

Color Throwdown 46

Hi
It's been so long since I did a Color Throwdown challenge, so I wanted to make a card to rectify that situation. For Color Throwdown #46, the colors were:
And here's my take on the card... I resisted the temptation to use the PTI Birdwatching set and went with Stampin' Up's Great Friend set. (I was very happy to see that this set made the new catalogue as it is a favorite of mine).

We're enjoying our no agenda weekend and are trying to be productive. The weather is cool but very humid. I went for a walk earlier and was dripping with sweat. There is a neighborhood garage sale today, and I glanced about while walking. I didn't see anything that really piqued my interest. I'm off to do some more chores and try to fit in some crafting :)

Enjoy your weekend!

Color Throwdown 41

Hi Again,

This is my second post for the day. It is for the Color Throwdown 41 Challenge.Unfortunately, I am coming under the wire for two color challenges. I didn't want to post them in the same post to keep them straight. That is the reason for two separate posts within minutes on the same day. Below is my card for the Color Throwdown Challenge. Hope you like it.

If you saw my previous post, you know that I used the butterflies on both cards (different colors of course, for the different challenges.) I just got the butterfly die cutter from SU! and love it. I'm like a kid with a new toy. The novelty hasn't worn off yet.

I hope you all had a great weekend. My cold finally started to subside, so I was back at painting on Saturday. It's coming along but is slow. It will get done eventually, and I'm so excited about it. (Mainly because we'll be getting new flooring after the painting is done--so fun!)

Thanks for stopping in.

Have a blessed day:)

Color Throwdown 40

Hi Friends

I know I've been absent for awhile. Last week was crazy busy, and then I started getting sick. I am still sick today, but I did find some time to participate in the Color Throwdown. I just needed to do something creative.

I ended up making the card to use the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and had a great start to your week. I'm looking forward to watching House tonight and going to bed early.
Thanks for stopping by

Color Throwdown 39

Hi Friends,

I hope you all have enjoyed a wonderful weekend. We have had a great weekend that has just flown by. Saturday night, our church showed Fireproof, and then today we went to church. Carlin taught today during Family Bible Hour on why we should disciple. I know I am biased, but I thought he did a wonderful job.
So after coming home from church and taking a much needed nap, I finally put together something for the Color Throwdown Challenge 39. The colors to use were Stampin Up: Barely Banana, Real Red, and Basic Black. I had troubles with this one. However, in the end, I like the way it turned out.

Unfortunately, the Barely Banana is so light that it blends in with the white background. I apologize for the photo. I embossed the damask image with black embossing powder. I love what embossing adds to cards.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a very blessed evening!

One card, two challenges

Hi
I made this card for the WSC 76 and this week's Colorthrown #38 challenge to use baja breeze, ruby red and basic grey.

I actually found both the sketch and the colors to be a "challenge." I just got these cute Hero arts clear stamps and decided to try them out on this card. Once I decided on the stamps, the card came together fairly easily.

I just love doing these challenges. I'm off from work today and have lots to do. Hope you all have a wonderful day

Blessings

Lynnette
