new photos from goob

miss goob has a photography assignment for school.

so last night before and after the outing to the footy - we stopped at various spots to let her play with the new camera and the great evening that it was in canberra.

ummmm....yeah......that's a closeup of me.......I hate closeups.......(in fact I hate getting my photo taken in general!)......but the reflection in my glasses is pretty cool.

then it was time for some movement shots (playing with shutter speed)  - and her sisters are always happy to help when they can.....

then after the game (sadly the brumbies lost by 3 points - however it was a gallant effort all round - especially the family time and loads of laughs!!).........

sadly we forgot the tri-pod - so goob used my shoulder!!
apparently I breathe too much - and ended up spoiling the shots - just a little!!!!

but it was good to find a great night location beside the lake - and I'm sure we'll be back for more photo fun soon.

so that was our saturday evening - after spending all day at the netball courts and having fun at the footy - we managed to pack some photo shoots somewhere in between!!

some nefotlak-household trivia for you - we worked out that currently both goob and eky have at least 12.5 hours of sport every week - each. (includes training, games and umpiring)
and most of that is at different times to each other - mostly 1/2 hour from home each way.
oi - that's a hell of a heap of driving that mr w. and I are currently doing most days - every week.

so between that - and work - and homework help - and keeping them all fed - and general goings on - not much craftiness or room makeovers are occurring over here - but when we do get the chance - you can bet that there will be proof of stuff reported on here!!!! I promise.
I hope you can bare with the periods of silence while life takes a front seat for awhile?!?!?

and I hope that wherever you are in the world - that your weekend was filled with smiles.

nefotlak. on facebook

morning!!.....(oh bugger - i started this when it was still morning - but now it's afternoon - how does that happen???......)

it's friday - yayayayay!! - and the sun is shining and it's going to be 22 degrees (celsius) today.
nice!!!
i love me some spring in the air!

so - i've finally set up a nefotlak. facebook page for this wee blog.......here's a screen shot.....

pretty basic for now - but it's a start.
if you get the chance - i'd love it if you could 'like' the page - you can do that over in my right hand column - just scroll down and you'll see the facebook icon i've added here.

apparently if you get 25 or more 'likes' on a page (i think that's the magic number?!?!) - you get to request from facebook to keep the name of the page - and that's something that i'd like to see happen.
i have this vision of setting up nefotlak. as a label one day......just a dream......and if i get this teaching degree finished and some rooms in this house in better shape - i can put my head into making some actual things to sell.....perhaps an etsy shop......we'll see.

so for now - please go and like the nefotlak. page - if you feel inclined to do so - and let me know if you have one - and i'll go and do the same.

some photos i took last week (it was a rainy and cold day - hence the water droplets on the petals) - gorgeous blossoms on our ornamental pear tree out in our front yard.........

we only planted this tree a couple of years ago and it's been struggling with the drought - but finally with mother nature coming good - the rain has made for an excellent showing of flowers.......

don't forget facebook.........did i just go too far??!?!?!?!............ :)

i was wondering why our sandwich container stash was getting awfully low - but i had too many other things on my mind of late to think about it too deeply.......

then my lovely goob decides to finally clean out her school locker - and return the stash that had been missing.....

this is what the items in question look like on the tupperware website -

so - i've managed to clean them up - and they're back in the cupboard......until they start to leave home and live in goob's locker once more!!!!

perhaps it's a nice place to live?!?!?!

oh - and i've changed my kidlettes names on here now - just fyi.
there's goob (yep - that would be miss g.), eky (miss e.) and triple j (miss j.)
i just like it better that way.
(and i've edited old posts to reflect the new online names - lucky this blog is so new!!!)

i have been crafting up a storm today - having so so so much fun now that the studying stress has lifted off my shoulders. phew!!! and because of this goob has been taking and editing photos like crazy (the top two photos are hers and she's loaded more onto her blog- she's got some amazing flower photos - clever huh?!?! - and just 15!!) and triple j has been crafting up a storm (or some houses...... - i'll show you tomorrow).

autumn skies in canberra

canberra gets some of the most beautiful sunsets - and autumn times are often the best.
flippin cold this autumn - but still pretty all the same.
snapped these out of the car window whilst there was a short stop for traffic.
(i know - i'm bad - but i just couldn't help it - iphones are useful that way!!)

i have spent a lovely day watching daughters play netball. the sun was shining and the wind was quiet. oh the joys of saturday winter sport - thank goodness the weather gods were being kind this week!!

tonight i've been investigating pinterest - have been seeing it mentioned around the interwebs and actually applied to be a member a few weeks ago - but never joined up officially when i got the go ahead.
(oh great - another place to procrastinate with my time!!)
lovely gemma from my big netshell (and I can't seem to currently add comments to her blog to say thankyou for some reason ?!?!?) mentioned that i should upload photos of my study onto pinterest (thanks gemma for the suggestion) - never would have even thought of doing that! -  time to really check it out me thinks!!
