Tuesday (tomorrow) we will begin school for another year, it feels like we are ready, "let it begin" is our favorite saying for the day!
(empty hall, cleaned and ready to be noisey with the voices and laughter of students)
(empty parking spots, ready to be filled with staff cars)
(office, my co-worker and I are ready ☺, since we are in the office all year it is almost routine to be ready)
Things (other then house chores) on the homefront will slow down a bit, sewing with Mickey will be on hold until a school holiday or a not so busy Saturday. The hubby's appointments to the PT and family doctor will be scheduled a little differently to allow for my needed race from the school office to home and back again, but we will make it work!
May each of you have a wonderful week!

strange...
At the end of our driveway we have two flower planters on either side of the driveway, every Spring we plant flowers for the Summer growing season and faithfully water and weed. This year because of the medical issues happening at our house keeping these planters maintained has been an added chore that has been a bit neglected. Just look at the strange happening in these planters ;>)!! I honestly planted the two planters with Impatients (the planters are shaded) one planter has the before mentioned Impatients and the other planter has Marigolds now how "strange" is this? This oddity has served as a good landmark for visitors coming to see hubby, I just mention "we are the only house on our road with driveway planters with the strange flower growth"! Visitors arrive and laugh with us at the flower planters!
If you have a minute and want to see a cute update check this out, it will let you know what our Mickey has been up to...busy girl that she is!!
Hubby report ~~ He is continuing with PT 3 days a week, and family doctor visits 2 days a week for follow-up testing (he needs blood work because of the 3 units of blood received during surgery and they also are monitoring his BP)...he is good about going but not very patient about needing to have all of these trips and being the patient ☺. He is NOT allowed to drive yet, and it will be at least another two weeks before he returns to the "Ortho Doc" (as he calls him), to be checked again and to discuss the problems with the knees (we know they will need attention soon)!!
Thank you for your continued prayers, they are working ~~ GOD IS GOOD!!

baseball, laundry & pepto-bismol...
It does not require many words to describe my weekend!
Little League World Series time, I love to watch these games (they are played just 40 min. away from me, but I prefer to watch the games on the TV...I truly enjoy the dedication of the kids, their coaches and parents to the sport, and the announcers are just wonderful and having so much fun with the announcing! GO LITTLE LEAGUE PLAYERS!!
Laundry is pretty much self explanatory, no picture needed of my laundry :>)!!
OK now this next picture probably will not need any explanation either, just know that I spent pretty close to 36 hours needing this bottle of pink stuff :>)!!
Today I am feeling much better, headed out to the office in a timely fashion this morning!
Update on hubby is ~~ he is in the recovery mode, much slower then he wants to be, but I can see that his three days a week of PT is working out pretty well! The present plan is 5 weeks of PT, and that means we only have another 4 weeks to go ~~ shhhhhhhh don't tell him!
Have a great week, Fall weather is getting closer, I love it!!

pt time...
The recovery for *hubby* is taking on a new phase, he is now going to PT 3 days a week. He has not been released to drive so at this point I am doing the driving, this causes him to be less then happy, but it must be this way! Fortunately the PT trips are able to be scheduled around my hours working in the office! It is a bit of a push, but we make it work with the fact that the PT is scheduled late afternoon as per our request! Hubby is doing well with his PT, the doctors are reminding *hubby* that he is ahead of schedule...he does not feel like he is, keeping him in a "no work & and no activities" mode is a challenge!
In my effort to change over my Blog Header for Fall, I totally messed up my entire blog, my granddaughter Mickey came to my rescue! Thanks Mickey you are so talented, I like my new look! By the way Mickey has been MIA on her blog because she also had a bit of surgery the same week as *hubby*, she had all four of her Wisdom Teeth surgically removed, and has had a slow recovery...get well soon Mickey!

a nightmare week...
Sorry fellow bloggers and readers, I have not been able to find the time to blog this past week. It has been "a nightmare week", a brief explanation to say *hubby* had Hip Replacement surgery on Monday! At this point we can't say it is going well, but I am guessing and praying it WILL be happy results with total recovery!
The hospital experience was not one I would ever want for anyone, I can't think of anyone I would wish it to happen too! The nursing care was inadequate for the most part, the *special* surgical table had issues and tech support had to be called in twice...and then the table supports were still less than adequate, and needed additional attention that would allow the surgeon to continue the surgery. The room *hubby* was assigned to for recuperation was a storage room, yes partially filled with *things*...and for the most part the nursing staff had no clue of the needs of *hubby*...I expressed my concerns, to anyone that would listen...and I brought him home on Thursday, and now I am providing his nursing care and trying to convince him that "it will all be good in a few more days", and this is a very brief, not much detail of our "nightmare week"!
I AM VERY HAPPY FOR THE WEEKEND!! Thank you for your prayers and concerns, truly we appreciate them!

on the horizon...
We are praying to have many evenings of beauty like this following the soon to be surgery for hubby! We have experienced a week of a mystery infection, lab work, medications and surgery preps...surely we are ready to proceed! I will try to update as we progress, but please know that I will be traveling, waiting, working and most of all praying, my time will not be my own! May each of you have a wonderful weekend!

**not** out for lunch...
This is not where we normally go on Sunday, but today it was where we spent a good portion of our day. Unfortunately hubby is experiencing some type of infection and this is causing concern. He is already scheduled for a surgery, which may now need to be delayed. Please pray, that the infection is easily diagnosed and cleared, and the scheduled surgery can go forth as planned! It has been a stressful time for him to prepare to this point and now this! Please pray, it will mean so much to us!
