Catch up…

Catching up on the month of June. Here’s Neal vlog. It just seems easier to have you watch the vlog rather than me type up everything we did…so you can just call me lazy! :0)

This is Halloween…This is Halloween…

Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

We started off this Halloween by going to Knott’s Scary Farm with some of Neal’s classmates. Oh.my.goodness. it was so fun and SCARY!

It was so awesome. These were  all the TERRIFYING MAZES:
*(1) “Sleepy Hollow Mountain” (Log Ride)
  (2) “The Labyrinth” (Flying Ace Balloon Race)
*(3) “The Doll Factory” (Wilderness Dance Hall)
  (4) “Lockdown: The Asylum” (GhostRider)
  (5) “The Slaughterhouse” (Main Gate/Camp Spooky)
*(6) “Fallout Shelter in 3D“ (the Lake)
  (7) “Club Blood” (GhostRider)
*(8) “Terror of London” (Mystery Lodge)
*(9) “Black Widow’s Cavern” (Calico Mine Ride)
*(10) “Virus Z” (Fiesta Plaza)
*(11) “The Corn Stalkers” (Stage Coach Trail)
*(12) “Dia Del Los Muertos” (Bumper Cars)
*(13) “Uncle Bobo’s Big Top of the Bizarre in 3D” (Xcelerator)

We hit up these *9  and even rode 2 rides. We wished we would’ve gone to this the last 3 years it was so fun. But seriously there were some creepy things….(weird Doll ladies bending their bodies in ways that seem impossible). They not only had the people jumping out at you in the mazes but they had people dressed up roaming the crowds randomly jumping out to scare you…one guy with a chain saw, freaky clowns (Neal’s worst), and MANY other creepers.

Neal’s classmate Teni made the night, she was TERRIFIED in the mazes. She’d just freeze up and scream and scream and scream so all the haunters loved her reaction and just kept following her around. I’m pretty sure she lost her voice.

Then Saturday night, was our churches Trunk or Treat Carnival thing. It was fun and they had cotton candy…here’s a Shout Out to some of our cool friends who dressed up: (P.S. CA Friends, I hope you don’t mind us sharing these, if you do let me know and I’ll take them down)

The one where we went clubbin’…

Neal’s class, 2nd years, class of 2012… whatever you want to call them had their end of the year banquet. It was quite entertaining and it was fun to get dressed up!

It was held at a fancy private club I think it was called Center Club in Costa Mesa. We got fed fancy food and watched a recap video of the year, had raffle prizes, and got to D-A-N-C-E!

Neal thought this would be pretty funny, to make it look like the armored man is “protecting himself” :)

My sister Heather got engaged to Mark Buys July 30th and I finally have pics to post of the cute, happy couple. We’re really excited for them, they are so in love and plan to get married December 19th in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Let's get Crackin'. . .

The SSA (Student Spouse Association) Board Members got to reward ourselves for all our hard work this last year by going to dinner last week at Joe's Crab Shack... and their spouses also reaped the benefits for being so supportive :)

Darn sun...ruined our picture!

Not Pictured: Shonee and Aaron Smith--missed you guys but hope you enjoy the food when you get to go!

Neal was in HEAVEN, I don't like seafood and he does, so he was so thrilled to go somewhere with crab, shrimp and the works!

Disney On Ice...

We were able to go to Disney On Ice for a really good price on April 3. Neal and I went with the Larson's, Jackson's, Barney's and Aubrey Richardson. It was fun especially watching the little kids, who were in a trance watching their favorite characters skate around. I was very impressed with how well they could skate. It was based on the Incredible's saving Mickey and Minnie from the evil Syndrome.

Here we all are enjoying the show

This last Thursday, the Student Spouse Association through Neal's school hosted a Bowling Date Night. It was so fun and best of all it was FREE! :) We had 6 lanes at the Cal-State Fullerton Bowling Alley. There was lots of Pizza, good dessert and you could bowl as many games as you wanted in 2 hours.

Picnic in the Park and A Dinner Date. . .

Last weekend was BEAUTIFUL here so Neal and I thought we would take advantage and go on a picnic in the park across the street. It was so fun! We packed our lunch , took a blanket and laid out in the sun. I love the SUN! :)

Last night we went with the Smith's, Jayne's, and Barney's to dinner at Lucille's BBQ to celebrate the boys being done with two weeks worth of LOTS of tests. They still have finals to go but they were so excited to be done for a week. It's was guys heaven with all the MEAT they served!
